I've only ever been to WDW no DL or Universal. I one day will get to DL for sure and probably universal to see what it's like. DLP and Tokyo Disney are my dream destinations Shanghai could also make that list depending on how things go there.

I would love to go to Tokyo and TD. I have always wanted to go to Japan though, even before I took Japanese in college. I think DH was planning a surprise trip a couple of years ago for my birthday, but then there was the earthquake, tsunami, and problems at Fukushima. Shanghai is looking pretty awesome too.

I love to listen Tony Baxter. His interviews are always fascinating. I'm glad he's positive about the Frozen ride. If Tony thinks something is good, I trust the ride is good. In fact, it seemed like he was quite positive with the stuff he has seen for future projects. Also, some really interesting details on DL and DLP.

Happy to hear he's still somewhat involved (or consulted) by Imagineering. Tony is definitely one of my top 3 Imagineers.

Here's a new trailer of The Imagineering Story documentary by Leslie Iwerks that was shown at the Imagineering panel at D23 this year. If you want to watch the whole Imagineering panel, the Dis YouTube channel posted the full panel with some quite interesting information. It features Tony Baxter, Marty Sklar, Steve Davison, Kim Irvine among others. Interesting that Marty keeps talking about Epcot's next development stage.

Yes watched the videos. I'm a big imagineering buff and can't wait to see this movie.

This made my day!

So I leave WDW yesterday and the Rose Garden walkway opens up and the Spires are back on the Chinese Theatre. Great timing by me

So - I don't get to break news on this thread very often - but I haven't seen it mentioned here. Disney Visa just sent out an e-mail for a new "Star Wars" credit card, but buried in their is a new Disney Visa Perk:

For Walt Disney World:
Star Wars™ Imperial Meet ‘N’ Greet
Feel the power of the Force at the Star Wars™ Imperial Meet ‘N’ Greet at our private Cardmember location at Disney’s Hollywood Studios® starting early 2016.

For Disneyland:
Star Wars™ Imperial Meet ‘N’ Greet
Feel the power of the Force at the Star Wars™ Imperial Meet ‘N’ Greet at our private Cardmember location at the Disneyland® Park starting Fall 2015.

So....it looks to me like this confirms dates for the Star Wars Launch Bay being in the fall 2015 in DLR, and being in the rather vague "early-2016" at DHS. It also indicates what is likely to be a Vader / Stormtrooper M&G of some sort.

Time for Star Wars fans to sign up for their new Credit Card before their trip.

Personally, I'm pretty psyched for this when we go to DLR in February.

I'm so irritated! I'll be at Disney WORLD in late fall 2015. I wish wdw would get their meet and greet going at the same time as Disneyland.

I remember seeing it announced somewhere on here. Interesting that both are starting at different dates.

It's been available for a few days now. I know it was announced on the Star Wars Weekends threads, but I can't remember if that's where I saw it first. I ordered my new one already:) Disney has already posted audition calls for characters for Launch Bay. It can't be college program employees or current character employees. It's for full-time positions, and the candidate has to relocate to Orlando within the next 4 months. The auditions are in about a month. So, it sounds like stuff is getting serious, and they plan to keep Launch Bay around for a while.
