News Flash! I bought some non-mom jeans!!!

They have to get waist's big enough for the tummy, leaving all the room in the bum!

My DH most certainly doesn't try to fit any tummy under the waistline, hence the serious muffin topping that goes on. Of course when he sees it in the teen girls he makes a comment to me about it (not in their earshot, I should add), but how does he think he looks. :teeth: Yep, time to go shopping...

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: The men in the world need to learn the phrase 'muffin top'. Although with many of them it looks more like an awning or something....

Holy crap, I just spit out my water. :lmao:

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: Muffin top that is a good one.... I will have to remember that. I think that rates up there with camel toe

Oh my goodness
I just found this thread

and I think you all need to come and do a "wardrobe intervention" on me!

Reverse fit jeans...non-fitted sweaters...sweatshirts...tennis shoes...aaaaagggghhhhh!!!!!!!! :scared:

Yes - but be careful.

Gap still carries mom jeans online.
Also known as the "Reverse Fit" jeans...

I thought I was going to die laughing the first time I ever heard the expression 'camel toe'! My daughter had purchased a new pair of tight dance pants and I never saw her wear them. Finally, I asked her why she never wore the pants and she told me about the camel toe effect. I had her try on the pants so I could see what she was talking about. It was only then that I completely understood! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I can't think of a time a sweatshirt would be ok to wear out somewhere...maybe to the grocery store in an emergency? Or if you are a college student.
Sweaters-if they are cute, yes, if they are 'holiday' sweaters no.
Tennis shoes-if they could be used as work out shoes, then they shouldn't be worn as regular everyday shoes.

Just my opinion. :duck:

Okay, jeans, sweatshirts and tennis shoes are out? There goes 98% of my wardrobe. No holiday sweaters? There goes the remaining 2%. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Phew, at least those are not the ones I bought. I remembered that there were ones at the Gap I wasn't "supposed" to buy, but I didn't have time to go through 17 million pages describing non-mom jeans, so I went, I bought, and I took a chance. Glad to see I didn't screw up.

I do not have a clue what camel toe is. Please fill me in... really.

Um, I've been filled in, literally. Thanks Briarmom!

My DIS education is neverending. :lmao:

I think it depends on where you live. Tennies are normal wear here for just about everyone no matter where you go. Sweatshirts are fine if they're not the super baggy, thick kind and so are sweaters. People of all ages wear the nicer workout sets while out shopping. I do agree that holiday sweatshirts are evil. ;)

What about pooh-sized people? You certainly can't expect them to wear low slung jeans and tight, short little shirts!

I'll have to actually start noticing more here, but that's what people seem to wear a lot here, too.

Briarmom, when I die I'll make sure that you are thanked! :lmao:
