I'm very impressed that NZAs consider a child up to the age of 16. That is much more appropriate than a 12 year old being considered an adult. My 13 year old is faaaaaaaaaar from an adult. lol
 
AGREED! What's with other places - I'm looking at YOU Disney! - counting kids as 'adults' when they are 10?!?! TEN?!?!? :confused3:sad2:

I am pretty sure it's only when they have some sort of sale that kids over 11 are included, I have only seen it at flight centre expo sales TBH.
 

I always thought Air NZ considered a 12 year old an adult. Maybe it's just a special they offer in Australia
 
I managed to save myself about $200 on next year's trip by going a month before my DD turns 12! I too think it's ridiculous that ANY of the airlines class 12 year olds as adults. They'd like to think they're adults, but no!

My 13 year old doesn't even come close to eating as much as an adult.
