Do you take CBD oil for anxiety?

Which means I'll probably try it because I get less results with BioFreeze and the like than DD21 does and have the same aversion to regular use of even OTC pills.
I'd like to hear the results, Colleen. Lord knows that at Marie's and my ages, we have lots of pains to try it on.

I'll try to remember to pop back to this thread with an update. I'm cheap so I'm not ordering my own until I experience it for myself; I'll try DD's when I go out for her graduation next month. Lord knows even a few days in San Francisco will involve enough hills and stairs and walking that I'll have occasion to need it!

Enjoy the trip. And congratulations to your daughter, and you (proud mom), on her upcoming graduation.

I tried using CBD oil for my anxiety, but it didn't help me much. Instead, I found that smoking weed works better for me. When I'm feeling super anxious, like in crowded places or when work gets too much, smoking a bit helps me calm down and feel more relaxed.
Weird bump for a newbie :rotfl2: however…I agree. I’m a medical cannabis user that has really discovered the value of cannabis over prescription meds. It’s been a wonderful alternative to get me off a lot of the toxic things I was using during and after my cancer treatment.

Since this popped up at the exact moment when I'm worrying about my wife and my trip, I'll pop this here and hope that's ok. When we fly into Orlando - will we be ok carrying her CBD oil with us?
Yes. Check all vape batteries on you and all oils etc in your checked bag.

I’ve tried CBD oil before, but I actually find that smoking weed, specifically joints, works better for my anxiety. There’s something about the ritual of rolling and smoking that helps me relax almost instantly. It takes the edge off, and I can feel the effects more quickly compared to CBD oil, which can be hit or miss for me.

Lately, I’ve been using weed delivery Toronto, which delivers fast and makes the whole process really convenient. It’s nice not having to go out when I’m feeling anxious, and the prices are reasonable too.

I've tried a few times with different brands. All of them caused me severe tooth pain. The oil didn't seem to help the anxiety at all. It was very strange. I recommend getting a medical marijuana card and trying gummies for anxiety. It works much better.

I remember CBD helping with my anxiety, but I haven't taken any in a while, nor my Cannabis. Been staying completely clean until I find employment and know it won't be a liability.

Funny enough, I found an OTC drug that works wonders on my anxiety. It's called Dimenhydrinate, it's basically the generic version of Dramamine, an antiemetic meant for motion sickness. It has helped tremendously with bouts of anxiety, with the only side effect being some mild drowsiness.

Eventually I got another version of it in prescription form, Hydroxyzine, also called Atarax. It does basically the same thing. My doctor recommended Ativan but I'm not a fan of controlled substances or anything that is potentially habit forming, and Lorazepam is highly addictive.

Here's the stuff I get from Walmart:

Only $6 a bottle in my area, lasts me at least a month and often as long as 3.

I did Penguin brand CBD oil (capsules) and it didn't help my that much. But I can say that I was going through one of the worst bouts of anxiety I had ever experienced in my entire life.

I used to have a medical marijuana card but my anxiety got bad enough that smoking actually started to make it worse (this can happen if you take too much, too frequently). Even the small dose edibles I had been taking successfully for years to help me sleep suddenly started to make me feel paranoid and nauseous.

I recently started taking ashwaganda tea (David's Tea does a non-caffeinated chai) that is started to help. My understanding is that ashwaganda is different though; you need to take it regularly for the proper effect. I have a cup every morning and I'd say after about two weeks I can feel a difference.

That was a bad side effect of my gummies too, compounding bad thoughts and making them far worse, causing more anxiety. That was how I learned that Sativa was not the right strain for me, makes me too head crazy. I prefer Indica now, preferably infused with CBN. Helps me relax with gaming and fall asleep much easier.

I still have 3 packs sitting in my closet collecting dust. The brand I switched to is called Highatus, mainly because my dispensary doesn't have specials on my preferred brand anymore, Wyld.

Dimenhydrinate is also similar to benadryl. Be aware that the latest studies show that there is an association with dimenhydrinate use and dementia. Taking it once in awhile is probably okay but it could be a concern if you use it long term.

Totally unrelated but I feel like I have to share this info for anyone suffering from a horrible cough....benadryl can be used as a cough medicine and has been shown to be more effective that mucinex DM and all of the other cough medicines with dextromethorphan. As you know, docs won't prescribe the effective codeine any longer. My son was coughing several times a minutes for hours every day. Couldn't get any sleep. His chest and throat were in horrible pain. I was debating whether to take him to the ER. I found a study online about benadryl. Tried it and it worked along with heat and steam.

Some of this may also be the regulation of breath control that smoking forces, I realized when I was a teen that this had a lot to do with why smoking relaxed me.
