New Wish family here

Hi everyone! I'm jumping in feet first and not wasting anytime I just received the call today that my beautiful 9 year old daughter has been approved for a wish. I know she is going to pick something Disney related. We've been to the park before but of course never to GKTW.

I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I'm Shirley, the wish girl is Kaila, there's my husband Paul, and my beautiful little red head Kinley who is 2. I can't wait to read about others trips and get excited for this process to unfold. Happy Holidays!!

Hi everyone, well here is a little bit about our players:

Mom- (Shirley) a full-time student and full-time case manager for children and adults who have a disability.

Husband- (Paul) a full time computer tech and wonderful husband and step-dad to the wish girl.

Wish girl- (Kaila- 9) She has Rett Syndrome and is a child who requires total care. She has a feeding tube, seizures, breathing issues, a heart issue, can't use her hands, but a smile that lights up my world.

Baby Sister (Kinley-2) she is a little red head who has brought a lot of healing to our family. She loves all things Disney so once she finds out that her sister wants to go to Disney she'll be uncontrollable.

Kaila's Dad (Robert)- is a very part time care giver but still gets to go with us, I have mixed emotions about this

Kaila's sister (Madison) 6- she doesn't know about this trip yet but I know that she will be super excited.

This will be a weird trip traveling with my ex and my husband but I am doing this for Kaila. I want her to see that we all love and care for her and that she is so special that we are all coming together to make this special.
