October is a trip for my 40th. My parents are going with us so we are pretty excited about that one as well.

We try to travel somewhere when the kids are on spring and fall break from school if we can get a good deal. We have to pay $300 a week for childcare so that is a good incentive.

D&D - Have you ever been to Mount Rushmore? We are thinking of making it a weekend trip sometime this summer (I think it is a five hour drive) and was wondering if you had a good campground.

We have been to Mount Rushmore and it is fabulous. In fact, last summer as we left Denver we decided to drive up there before going home.
We camped at the Mt Rushmore/Hill City KOA. http://www.koa.com/where/sd/41125/ It was really nice there surrounded by the Black Hills. We stayed in a camping cabin and it was nice. AC and electric but yet you are still in the great outdoors - somewhat.
Congrats on your 40th. I spent my 40th B-day at WDW in Dec. It was FANTASTIC!

Skuttle - I sure hope the EB can bring us some of those good eggs.

Aurora - I thought my stuff was PMS until I took the test. I took it on day 28 though and just had a faint line. So....hold out and wait to test as long as you can.

Did I mention headaches? I always get headaches in the days leading up to my period, but I've had them literally nearly every day this cycle. They went away for a day or two, then came back. They are manageable with one dose of tylenol a day, but still way more than I usually require. Allergies may be playing some part in this...

Courtney... I can't wait until your test day!!! Don't worry about symptoms or non-symptoms! I was almost 8 weeks along before I found out I was pregnant with DS. AF was late, I was tired all the time, and hungry all of the time, but I thought it was all due to my law school finals that I was taking at the time. A week after finals were over, I realized AF still hadn't arrived so I took a HPT then. I never had morning sickness and never had sore bbs. Everyone experiences pregnancy differently so do get down yet!

Kiki...I went through the same thing with my neighbor. She has a son a year older than my DS, but then she had another baby a year ago. I avoided her. It took me 6 months to bring the baby her gift. DH thought I was nuts.

I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Ours was VERY busy. Yesterday, we were looking at old pictures that my MIL had and my almost 13yo nephew commented on how skinny I used to be. We did have a VERY funny moment yesterday...My DS ran right into my MIL's glass door, just like the birds in the TV commercials! It was SO funny. He didn't break the glass and he wasn't injured...so it was REALLY REALLY funny! If I had my video camera going at the time, I think we could have won enough money to do IVF! LOL!

Hi everyone. Hope you all had a nice holiday weekend.

Aurora, I am very impressed that you haven't taken a test yet. I broke down and took one yesterday and again today. Both BFN. Since it's a few days early, I'm still holding out hope. I have more tests ready for tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday. I've also gotten really nasty headaches from the progesterone, they are a misery.

Skuttle, your poor ds! I'm happy to hear that he's no worse for the wear.

Chloe-remind me...did you do a trigger? And are you doing injections of progesterone or the suppositories? You think those are what are giving me the headaches?

I'm trying so hard not to test, but it will be harder once I have the tests in the house. I've been worried about a false positive up until now, since you can get them from the trigger shot. It should have been long enough for that to clear out of my system by now, though.

Hi. Yes, I had a trigger shot and I'm taking the progesterone suppositories. Headaches are a possible side effect from taking progesterone and I'm pretty sure that's what caused mine. I'm sure with all the drugs and stress it could be something else, but due to the timing of mine, I blame the progesterone.

I swore I wasn't going to test at least till Wednesday, preferably Thursday. My plan failed and I broke down yesterday. Off to the store I went. Of course, if I got a positive, I would have to keep testing everyday to make sure it wasn't a false positive from the trigger shot. Anyway, I'm disappointed right now and hanging on to a the slim chance that it will change to positive over the next few days.

I received a call from my Dr's office today confirming my appt on Thursday. Yay! LOL! It made me so excited!!

I'm impressed also! I am so, so weak. I must take the test, I feel compelled to take the d*** test. I got another negative today. Still no signs of AF arriving, but I think it would have turned postive by today if it was going to. If no AF tomorrow, I'm having a blood test Thursday. I am not giving up hope until it is obviously a no go. Sometimes I feel very pathetic. Not sure where to go from here if this month is a BFN also. I don't understand, everything checks out normal, what is the problem?

Hey everyone. I am new to this thread. We have been TTC since October. We miscarried in early Sept. and have been trying since. I am sad and discouraged yet happy I found this group.

Do you guys think it is too early to contact my Dr.? It has been like 6 cycles with out any result.

Kiki I know who you feel - we know 3 people who had babies within a two week span of our Angel's due date. It was heart breaking.

Tomorrow morning-I'm still holding out. I'm a mess just thinking about it. I had an inspiration for a new blog entry today, and if you guys have any input, feel free to share, but here's what I was thinking about...I was reading this thing that said what you should discuss before you got married. One was did you want kids, how many, and what if you couldn't have them? That made me think about how much my own opinion has changed on this subject since my struggle with infertility. It's a lot easier to say what you would and wouldn't do when you aren't faced with the decision. Anybody with me on that, or did you always have the same opinion as you do now, if you are in this struggle?

MommaSnowwhite-Welcome. Sorry to hear about your loss. I think you can definitely contact your doctor and set up an appointment to talk about things. Maybe they'll go ahead and help you. Mine did some early interventions at that point.

Ugh..Courtney...I saw that you posted and I thought for sure it was because you tested! You are killing me! LOL! And I totally agree with you re discussing TTC so early on. I never though my desire to have a second child would become so strong. I never imagined myself going through IUI, and I'm sure my DH never in a million years would have thought he'd agree to have surgery to help us possibly conceive #2. I don't think anyone can really say what they would and wouldn't do when you're not dealing with it. It's so emotional, much more so than I ever would have imagined.

MommaSnowWhite. Welcome! We have a great group of girls here, but, as we always say, I do hope your stay here is a short one! I'm very sorry about your miscarriage. I would definitely contact your doctor, especially since you've already had a loss. It can't hurt.

I'm driving myself crazy, but I hate testing early and not knowing if it's accurate or not. And now, if I tested, I couldn't do anything until the morning, either way, so that's annoying, so I'm waiting until tomorrow. I'll try to post from the phone tomorrow...3 letters shouldn't be too hard, either way. I am SO nervous! It's worse this time, probably because I'm actually holding off.

Usually, my cycle kicks in, or I have stronger cycle-related symptoms by now. They said the progesterone should hold it off, but the past 2 times it hasn't. So, it probably is my luck that this time it is, even though it's negative. I'm trying to be hopeful, but after 2 years, it can be hard! SO NERVOUS!!!!!
