New "Official" Frozen: 2015 Frozen Summer Fun June 17 to Sept 7!

Can't remember if I read it on this thread or elsewhere, but I read mention of TSMM closing early for Frozen Fireworks. Is this true? If HS is open until 10pm and fireworks at 9:30/9:45, does TSMM or any other ride close at 9pm? And if so, can you get in line up until that time (9pm)?
Yes, this is true. I don't know whether or not you can get in line at that time though, I would think not.

Is the premium packages worth it? DD is still too young to pay so we only need for 2 people but it's still pricey!

Hello all - been watching this thread closely - love the info on it - thanks!

I have a bit of a question. We are booked to do the premium package on 25th August. I've read the dessert party isn't until 7.45 that night, so not sure what time the fireworks will be - anyone know? Will it be 8.15 pm?

In addition, ideally would have liked to catch Fantasmic the same night but it appears it's only on once that night at 8.30 pm. Do you think the two firework events may overlap or Fantasmic start straight after, therefore meaning we can't see both?

We have booked Mama Melrose fantasmic package for earlier in our holiday but this is the only other night we can see it. So, I'm wondering if it would be good to see it more than once - ideally I'd like to but I just can't fit another night at HS into our itinerary! :scared:

Remember those tables and chairs along Echo lake between H&V and Indy? They are gone. It creates a larger viewing area without them, but we missed them. There is always the ledge to sit on, but the area in front of the ledge fills in.

That bums me out, I really liked hanging out at those tables!

Yes. Closes at 8pm or 8:30 if 9:30 fireworks. GMR too. They reopen later if fireworks are before closing like an evening emh. @Itinkso

Nope. The whole area is evacuated. Same with GMR, and ABC Comissary.

Last week we were at ABC comissary and a cm informed us that we either needed to leave then or stay inside there til fireworks were over.

The package is great. It's convenient. The dessert party is very nice. Is it necessary? no. You can still see the parade, see the singalong show, buy your own Frozen treats, and watch the fireworks. You just won't have premium viewing areas without the package.

Dhs has some new Frozen activity going on. Last night I noticed the sign for the Hyperion Theater. It's really cool. There are circles that glow blue at night and each circle has a letter for Hyperion.

@yulilin3 noticed some troll activity today. It's now surrounded by construction bushes.

DS noticed some Arendelle flags.

On Friday, 2 icebergs passed by me. They were hand carried from the Premiere to the Hyperion.

Those in line for SWW autograph were serenaded by Frozen music while camping out. @delmar411 can attest to that!

Question about the welcome procession - Is there a side of Hollywood Boulevard that is better or COOLER since it will be hot than the other side for the parade?

What route does the 10:30 parade take? I am trying to plan out my DHS morning......we have FP+ for the sing along at 11:30 (which means 11:05-11:20), and I was hoping to grab lunch at a QS place before we go there. But I think DS would like to see at least a minute of the parade go by if he can, he's a big Anna&Elsa fan. Since one QS place seems just as mediocre as the next at DHS, I figure maybe we can try to eat along the parade route, does that seem doable?

The parade starts out by Mickey crossroads and goes down Hollywood blvd. Past the Hyperion Theater. And ends at Star Tours.

Most QS open at 11am. For SWW, 10:30 Backlot Express opened. Not sure what they'll do for FSF.

ABC Comissary and Backlot Express both list a 10:30 opening time.......hoping that we can finally a place open before 11, because our plan is usually just snacks in the room for breakfast and then we eat a very early lunch as soon as we can, which I know was 10:30 for "most" places on our last trip. If we get desperate (teenage boys are ALWAYS a hungry :drinking1) I'm sure we can find somewhere to get a snack :)

Just heard about the Wandering Oaken playground. Is this part of this event or is it something that is more (semi?) permanent. We're going next May and it sounds really cool. Also, there seems to be a ice skating rink. Just can't find details on if it's for everyone or not.

Sorry....where is the Hyperion Theater? I've heard people mention that the FSAL is moving to there, but can't find it labeled on a map, either the PDF Map off the website or the map on the MDE app. The map is showing the FSAL at some place labeled Premiere Theater, which looks tucked down past the Muppet movie. Is this the old location?
