New "Official" Frozen: 2015 Frozen Summer Fun June 17 to Sept 7!

Coolest Summer Ever Dance Party
5:45pm to 9:30pm

(Last year there was also a live band, this year it looks like DJ Elliot will spin tunes like he is for SWW.)

I spoke with DJ Elliot during SWW. For the Frozen event there will be no band on stage, just a DJ. DJ Elliot will mix Sunday - Thursday. Some other DJ will be playing music on Fridays and Saturdays. I did not ask if he is using the name DJ Chill again. If they do, I will refer to the other DJ as DJ NotChillAtAll, since the other DJs usually just play the Cha-Cha slide over and over.

I went to this event a few times last Summer. Mostly for the Band and DJ. Once the Fireworks show began (which is nothing compared to the epic awesomeness that is the Star Wars Fireworks) I would go over and ride Star Tours til I got nauseous. I will most likely do this again each Sunday after work. So if you are not a Frozen fan, it is a good time to take advantage of shorter lines at some of DHS's attractions. Except TSM.

Pics of the band from last year's event. I had more fun singing along with them to Foreigner and other classic rock songs than any of the Frozen songs.

Thanks for the pics !!! We are arriving on 7/1 ( -7/8) and we are changing our plans around a bit, due to the fact that the band "MS & S" (Icemen) are not going to be playing --- we liked "DJ Chill" ( kids did more than DW and I) but loved the band--- they played a lot of 80"s stuff that brought back great memories --- a DJ the entire night is a bit much ( IMHO) --- let me add that we loved Frozen and Frozen fun , but think they are making a mistake not having "Mulch... there

I was told the band will be playing on stage for the 4th of July Fireworks along with DJ Elliot.

Love the pics, the DJ is noted as DJ Chill in the times guide for June 17 to 20th, that would be Wed thru Saturday, so...

See you there sometime!

I usually have Wednesday nights off but I am working this one. I will most likely be there on Sundays. On any free weekdays I will be hitting the other 3 parks that I have been neglecting the last 5 (epic) weekends.

The stage speakers sound so much better than the truck ones.
Heck yeah they do! And those guys know how to work a huge crowd. They played New Year's Eve last year and it was amazing. I wish they were still playing on the main stage. Only reason I can think of for them not playing is the way the stage is set up for pyrotechnics and how interactive their shows can be.

Has there been any confirmation yet if there will be a rope drop show like last year? Or will we just have to wait and see what happens tomorrow? Trying to decide whether or not to try for TSMM at rope drop, or just be content with riding it once with FP+.

I'm glad the fireworks times have been released so I can finalize my evening DHS plans, though. The fireworks are scheduled for 9:00 on our date (8/25) - what time will we need to secure a spot if we want to be able to see the stage, or at least a screen?

ETA: Is it possible to check out the dance party prior to fireworks time, and then just back up into a decent viewing spot? Or is there a blocked off viewing area that will fill up behind where the dance party takes place?

So it will be Honey, I Froze the Audience? Interesting. Still, I'll be over at Star Tours.

I don't think so. But I think we'll see some cool special effects and different screen. I can't wait to see it in person tomorrow.

We will find out about rope drop tomorrow am. I'm going to try to make it to park opening.

Hollywood Blvd should get pretty crowded by the end of the dance party. @Gianfootography can probably answer this one better because I stay away from the stage and crowds.
