*** New Official February 2013 Thread ***

81 days!! i feel like i am going to have to post on here every day because nothing gives me greater joy than seeing the days pass by.

Booo! I'm still in the 100s...but that's ok. I will live vicariously through all of you!:cheer2:

Well I am back to planning our trip. Jannel I PM you on the additional info for roll call.

For those that know about me trying to add my grandson to our trip. I have changed all my ADR's and added him. I am still waiting to add him to our reservations untill we know for sure if he will be with us. There was some unsureness if we would have custody, and now things have gotten more serious. His mother unexpectedly died this past weekend before custody had been decided. So as of now we have agreed that he needs to stay with his other grandmother so he can stay in the same school to finish this year. He will be spending Thanksgiving with us.
I am at a loss of when to tell him about the trip. I wish he could be in the planning with us and my grand daughter. But it so soon after loosing his mother.

I am praying that he will be able to be with us.

Super frustrated! I'm on line trying to book the Hoop-De-Doo for a 6:15 showing, it's available but will not allow me to tie into my DDP. I call dining reservation, after holding for 30 minutes they tell me they show none available. They did give me the option to pay the $300 and something dollars on line to make the reservation and then they would issue me a credit. This seems ridiculous. How can it be available on line and for purchase just not with the DDP. Anyone else experience this? Not a happy camper right now. :(

Any of ya'll renting strollers?? Any recommendations on who to use and how far in advance they need to be reserved?

My daughter is the type that would try to swim in ice water. I'm hoping that it's not terribly uncomfortable :)

The pools at Disney are heated up to 82 degrees, so at least it won't be freezing IN the water... not sure about getting out though! :rotfl2:

I rented from Baby Wheels Orlando after reading a review on touringplans.com. When I contacted them in August, Amy, the owner, said she already had one reservation for February. I don't think you'd be out of line to reserve one now

Add me to the list. We are going to SSR Febuary 20 to 27. We were going to Daytona 500 but decided against that because of the traffic.
It is me, DH and DS. It will be his first trip.
I have only made on ADR at Teppan Edo in Epcot. DH does not like being on a schedule.

I just purchased my tickets for Wicked in Orlando, so our trip is set for the 20-24th!!!!!!! :D We are looking at staying at a Disney hotel this time also, so many new things possible this trip! :D

fingers crossed for warm, sunny weather! i'd be happy with days in the range of 15-20 (celsius, and i'm no good at the conversion lol). i'm sure it will be closer to 15, but some people have said that hot weather in february isn't unheard of! yay!!

Am I right to assume that I can do Future World in 3/4 of a day and should do World Showcase over a full day?

It depends on what you like to do. But also World Showcase is only open for 3/4 of a day so keep that in mind.

If we had two full days to spend at Epcot, we'd spend 9am-3pm in Future World both days and 3pm-9pm in World Showcase both days.

99 days til Disney on the wall;
99 days til Disney!!
Take the calendar down, cross the date off,
98 days til Disney on the wall

Oh my last nights news said Florida will have an unusually cold weather. Hoping he was wrong. Will wait till closer to decide what to pack.

Please don't tell me that!! I have actually been contemplating canceling for Feb and going in Sept so I dont have to deal with the cold weather but I dont want to deal with the heat either! Help me!!! How cold does it usually get in Feb? We went Dec. 2010 and froze our butts off!!

It's so hard to say for February! I've only been once in February (2011) and our week was very nice. There was one very rainy day, and the rest were 75 or more during the day and cooler in the evenings. After dark you needed a sweater but that's about it. There's no counting on that though as it was very cold earlier in the month.
That being said, I have been in August(4 times), September and May. February was by far my favourite trip. It was the only time we were able to go all day long without stopping because we weren't hot and tired. It was wonderful to escape the snow here, and I actually came home from that trip relaxed:)
