*** New Official February 2013 Thread ***

We're home now, but were in MK yesterday. I was surprised at how crowded it was - it was worse than the day before (an EMH day). It made it a little easier to leave :sad1:.

MK is definitely crowded today, but manageable. They just made an announcement that MK will be open one hour later than scheduled (now 10 pm). Glad this is our 2nd day here.

Just left MK it was crowded but fun anyway

We were in Magic Kingdom yesterday, too. I was surprised by the crowds too, but we gota lot accomplished despite arriving at 11am thanks to an ADR at Ohana yesterday morning. Got to ride BTMRR 3 times! 2 with fast pass, 1 30 min wait. DS got chosen to battle Jack Sparrow in the Pirate Tutorial! Rode Pirates, did Hall of Presidents, DS maxed out his score on Buzz Lightyear (999999!), rode Magic Carpets, Barnstormer, and last but not least, Peoplemover before leaving MK at 7pm. Got a last view of Wishes from our room, last minute souvenir shopping in the Mercantile at the WL and then off to bed. Flight home this morning was ontime, but ME cut the time a little too close for my liking.......Home now and trying to unpack.

Today is our last full day :( and my birthday. Lots of birthday magic! Got the grey stuf at BOG and a couple of special autographed pictures from a few restaurants. Had a family caricature and one of my dog done and love them!

Went to Epcot yesterday and thought it was great. We ended up meeting Mulan 3x and she was absolutely adorable. Ate at Teppan Edo and it was great as always. Picked pearls - oldest got a gold one that is amazing, youngest got blue, hubs got white and I got twin silvers!! So fun. We went back 2 more x (obsessed!) but ended up with all whites. Should have quit while we were ahead lol.

Up now and getting ready fot Ohana, BBB, CRT, MK, and the dessert party!

Happy Birthday! :cheer2: :cake:

It sounds like you have a great day planned.

February turned out to be a more crowded month than expected. I think if I had known ahead of time that it would be crowded I would have been better prepared. But to expect low crowds and not get them was a little frustrating. We are already our return trip the first week of December. We will definitely plan on avoiding MK on the weekend. Epcot is the place we will be.

Happy Birthday! Returned from our trip on Friday.... We had an awesome time and the food was great! I didn't think the crowds were too bad (2/24 - 3/1). We got everything done by mid afternoon when it was more crowded. I've decided two things: (1) I will NEVER go in the summer again; and (2) I will ALWAYS use a touring guide! Hope everyone else had a great time! Hope to see some of your trip reports...!

And good news, the DBF and I are going to WWOHP in April with some friends of ours!!! .... Guess I'll be heading over to the US boards since I know NOTHING about Universal! :) :)

We got back Saturday and I couldn't agree more about the crowds on Friday. MK was definitely hard to get through but eventually we were able to find the least-full path and followed it to shorter lines. Kit and I did a lot in that extra hour they were open. My dad had so much fun on this trip that he's already wanting to check out the Vacation Club, when can we all go back again and can we make AoA our official Disney home? :thumbsup2 All of which are things I never though I'd hear him say. All of the walking seems to have improved his health as well so we're definitely satisfied with our vacation.

Now to get over this cold I picked up on the ride home and get to trip reporting so I can relive the magic. Enjoy your last few days everyone!

AoA is not a DVC resort, but I highly recommend DVC. It's the best thing we ever did!:thumbsup2

Oh, I know it's not, but Dad's dead-set on one or the other. Must have mixed that up somehow. Now if he could just make up his mind so I can start planning again. I want another ticker in my signature!

Well, the family is sitting at gate 109, sad and tired. I can't wait to start planning our second trip.

Planning that next trip is the only thing that gets us through the journey home.
Hope all of the Feb 2013 travelers have many happy memories!!!

We had an AMAZING trip !!! Got there Sun 2/24 with no hitches, walked right onto ME bus and cried of course when we saw the WDW gates! We checked in to ASM and were delighted when they told us we were magically upgraded to a preferred room! I was so happy! Everyone was sooooooo kind to us all week. One bus driver even took my DD by the hand and escorted her onto the bus to MK saying, "Your carriage awaits princess". While we were riding he told everyone there was royalty on our bus, and when we arrived he took her by the hand again. I seriously cried. It was one of the sweetest things that has happened to us at Disney! We got to do everything at least twice and WE EVEN GOT TO EAT LUNCH AT BE OUR GUEST !!!! I thought it was going to be impossible, but it rained on Tues and people left the line. When it stopped raining we checked and it was like a 15 min wait. We ate in the Ballroom. It was just beautiful and magical inside! The cupcakes were to die for!!! EPCOT was great and we got to view Illuminations as VIP guests. And miracle of miracles, we got to do TSM at HS!! That was SO much fun! There were so many more wonderful things that happened. I could write pages! Oh how I miss it!

We were there 2/25 -3/2 had a blast the grey goose was to die for we were given a extra night and extra ticket due to some house keeping essues but all in all a great trip
