I see you are a fellow MS coaster, I'm in OS, what about you? Weird but true DIS fact, my oldest DD got her college roommate from me meeting a mom here on the DIS! She was from Vancleave, small world! They only roomed for a year, but got along fine :) My DD graduated Friday with her Bachelors in Nursing, and IF she doesn't have a job in Feb I would love for her to join us.

I am also a MS coastian from OS. What a small world! (No pun intended). We leave on the 9th and return on the 16th. No problem with school since my oldest of three children is only in Kindergarden. Now we have to make sure that my wife can get away from Pecan Park for the days after Mardi Gras.

Tell you DD congrats! Did she graduate from USM?

Yes! She graduated from USM!

My youngest, a 3rd grader, goes to Oak Park, so it is a small world LOL! All my kids love Disney so much, probably becuase we started them so young. Let them miss while they are still young, cause once they start high school it's almost impossible to catch up on missed school work. The middle school is easier because they do a block schedule. Sadly, this will be my girls last year to go and miss school :sad1:

Was wrapping presents today and found the glowsticks dh bought for the trip. I popped those right into the "Disney bag" so they don't get lost again. I still have to fill out the paper work for school for permission for the kids to go on the trip. (really not looking forward to that at all) I think I'll hand it in after the 1st of the year

WOW...had to double check my count-down app on my phone, but sure enough - our trip is in 45 days!! (technically we fly out on Jan 31st) Woo-hoo.

So should I be getting a packet of some sort in the mail soon? I'm dying for it! :cool1:

That means ours is only 46 days away!!:) Is it wrong that I'm actually looking forward to the holidays being over so I can concentrate on trip planning??!;)

Just paid for the trip and now feel VERY official!!! :cool1:

Of course, that means my heart is starting to beat overtime as I begin to think about getting ready for the trip...panic is setting in! :rotfl:

I'm sooooo excited and just hope we can keep this a surprise for our DDs10&4until after school and day care on Jan. 30th when we tell them we are driving to Baltimore to spend the night so we can head to WDW the next day!

I'm sooo excited for Christmas, especially because before I know it, it will be over and we'll have less than a month!!! YAY!!!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

How is the last week of Feb usually for both crowds and weather?? My dates are Feb 24-Mar 4.

Mine too.....but not 100% confirmed yet. Likely staying @ POP, but seriously considering upgrading to POFQ as a surprise for my wife. Managed to get a free dining PIN and now just trying to juggle DW work schedule to be able to go. I'm still not able to get a dinner ADR for BOG yet - I guess we'll have to check it out for lunch instead.

Awesome! I am also a grad of USM!

We still have a couple years before we can't take them out of school for a Disney trip. Anyway, we will see y'all down there. Time is flying!

Sadness... Still trying to get my scooter sold. Get paid on Weds but now all the value resort play stay dine packages are booked for my week of vacation. Too bad most of our holiday money arrives after Dec. 31. I can't afford moderates... Might still be able to cut my visit for Feb 2-9 to Feb 3-8 and get room/tickets at All Star. No cheap rooms left on Fri or Sat. We don't eat that much anyways. Could stand skipping AK, but really want to do the Tower of Terror and muppets at HS. Crossing my fingers for a quick sale of bike and room still available... Think lucky thoughts for me. Maybe one of you will be able to upgrade to a moderate and leave a little value room open for me and hubby?

I better sign up, we (dw, dd2 and myself) will be there feb 9-16 staying at por riverside in the rr. So very excited to go back to disney can't wait time is flying by, now to only pay for it all, sigh minor details lol.

oh and all of our dining is booked that we are making reservations for anyway yea. has anybody been during this time frame that might know what the crowds are like. We went in the last week of August last time is the crowds about the same or less.

So we will be flying in from ND on thursday, for 4 days at WDW. We will also be spending 1 day at universal studios as it is imperative to visit Harry Potter world. My DW and DD(13) will be with (the other 3 will be remaining in the state of washington as they attend university there). We have been to disney land several times in the last 7 yrs that we lived on the left coast, with the most recent being Xmouse 2011. Now that we moved back to the midwest, I am hoping we will be able to go down every year or two, but money is a lot tighter with my new job. So, I have been hitting the sites and finding every discount I can. Thanks to the OP for this thread, and anyone with any suggestions, I would really appreciate! Thanks in advance, and happy times!!

I visited the filmset where the Harry Potter movies where recorded last week. It was an amazing experience. We are not going to Universial Studios when we're in the USA.

So we are traveling Feb 23-Mar2 and celebrating DD's 7th birthday. It will be myself, DH, DD, DM, MIL, and FIL. We are staying at POR, hopefully in AB.

So far my plan is this:
23 - Arrival day; MK; ADR at Tony's but OOP so may change to CS
24 - AK; dinner ADR at Boma (can't wait!)
25 - Epcot; dinner ADR at Akershus
26 - MK; DD's Birthday; dinner ADR at CRT (sssh, it's a surprise ;))
27 - rest day; DTD; no ADR so meals are OOP
28 - no park chosen yet, but probably MK; dinner ADR at O'hana
1 - DHS; dinner ADR at 50's Prime Time
2 - Departure day; breakfast ADR at Chef Mickey's; MK for a few hours

Our flight arrives in Orlando on the 23 at 9am and leaves on the 2nd at 7pm.

Our son turns 7 on February 26 and we are also planning MK that day. We also plan to have a DTD day on 2/27 and will plan to be at DHS on 3/1 in the evening for the Disney Jr Dance Party during the EMH's.

That's so cool! :cool1:

If you haven't done it before, try the Disney Jr Dance Party. It starts right when EMH's start in the evening at DHS and its in the building where the Disney Jr show is done during the day.

A DJ plays, characters come dance with the kids and someone was doing balloon animals when we went in January. Its very informal and a little loud, but our son LOVED being able to just dance and not be forced to hold our hand for a while.:thumbsup2

DHS usually has evening EMH's on Mondays but it seems to have switched with Epcot for the week we are there to Friday.
