I was also concerned about the Cheer week and did some research.

Feb. 9-10 - UDA National High School Cheerleading Championship

- Staying 2/8 - 2/12 at All Star Resorts and DCBR
- Competion at ESPN and Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Theater @ DHS
- 2/10 "Private Championship Celebration Party" at DHS
- "Special UCA Night" at MK but does not say which night

Thanks for the information. I had found a website around the time I was making our ADR's and knew that they would be at HS on the weekend. The Stunt show and Indianna Jones will be closed then because that is where the competitions are held. So we are doing HS on Thursday. I think I read that the special UCA night was Sunday night at MK. But it doesn't begin until late, like 9 pm or something like that.

I'm getting antsy to book Wishes!! Why oh why hasn't February opened yet?? I'm wondering if this is a calling that I need to do this celebration in room instead of there. I would ask DH his opinion, but I've told him for over 6+ months that he's not entitled to one on this trip so he won't answer me if I now ask.

I'm with you! I've been watching, although I wasn't sure we were going to do it. But I just checked and there is an earlier CRT reservation available, so if I WANTED to squeeze in the dessert party, we probably could...hmmm

I was not aware of this. We had all of our competitions at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex.

Take a look at the menus on allears.net - they'll give you a good estimate of costs.

I think I just roughly go with $40 pp at a TS and $15 at a QS - I think they generally overshoots it (but I'd prefer to do that).

We end up going nuts with spending when we're there - I'm terrible with estimates

So am I!! and i plan on pigging out!! I live in a small town in Colorado so just going to Dunkin Donuts before hand will be a big treat!!! haha, im pretty lame. i think i'll just bring what i feel comfortable with, cash wise.

Last month Jan was opened on 11/23. What day are you wishing to reserve? We are trying 2/13 or 2/14!

I believe it has to do with some cheer competitions. There was a thread about it on the Resorts tab I think.

The p/s/d offer probably helped selling out the value resorts. Add the cheer competition to that there you have it!

That sounds good - worst case scenario, you have to pull some cash out of an ATM.
