. We received these as a gift for DS1 and I kept them... I know they have them at BRU and they start at 9.99... We just got some more from Target but I have to say they arent as good and he wiggles out of them very easliy.
but we just couldnt get it... I personally think Kiddopotamus works the best!My first son hated being swaddled... He loved being free... till this day he hates when a blanket is on him... but DS2 loves it (as you can see in the pic). We received these as a gift for DS1 and I kept them... On the day of discharge from the hospital I asked a nurse how she had him wrapped up so tight in his blanket and she wasnt very friendly when I asked her to show me... she didnt and spoke to me like I was 4 telling me it wasnt nessasary... glad I had this cause its so simple.
My DH tried his hardest to wrap him tight from all the videos on swaddling on youtubebut we just couldnt get it... I personally think Kiddopotamus works the best!

I don't have gestational diabetes, so I can't even blame it on that. On the other hand, I know from experiance, bigger babies are much happer and sleep better, so maybe I'll get lucky and come home with at least one perfect angel! But I'm scared to cut the tags off of any of the newborn sized clothes, because he won't fit in them!

You know what isn't fun? When the sonographer tells you that your baby is a moose! Actually, I like her quite a bit, and it made me laugh pretty hard.
I had the 32W growth scan for the babies. I'll start with the smaller Baby B, estimated at around 4lbs 6 oz--right around the 50th percentille.
And now for the moose, Baby A estimated at.....wait for it....the 97th percentille.....6 lbs 3 oz. Yeah. At 32W. My friend's full term baby was 6 lbs 6 oz. No wonder I get tired just walking up the stairs!
Of course, they're just estimates, and Baby A, in particular, is hard to get some measurments on, due to his position. But honestly. That is one HUGE baby. How much bigger could he possibly get? I've got 6 weeks left? I told my DH I was going to stop eatingI don't have gestational diabetes, so I can't even blame it on that. Only other new developments are an increased number of BH contractions, maybe 4-5 a day, which are annoying but luckily not painful. And I actually feel pretty good for having like 10lbs + of baby. Still fairly mobile, sleeping reasonably well and so on. I wonder how much longer it can last?
Had my first appt on Thursday, all is well. I'm having an ultrasound on Tuesday!! I can't wait!!!
My little one is still the biggest baby my OB has delivered. We both said I'm not going to break that record this time. It's so great, I love this practice..my doctor came in and gave me a hug, great to see you, etc etc.
Because i have such big babies, she's going to have me do the diabetes screenings early and actually ran a regular screen w/the labs I did the other day.

Since my first daughter was a July baby, we did swaddle her but used a mesh blanket (actually was a swim wrap from Victoria Secret!!) so she didn't get too-warm. In winter we just used a rectangle blanket but folded it into a square to get that tight wrap.
Our DD was fine with swaddling the first month then as she got older, as long as we gave her at least one "victory arm" (as we liked to call it!), she was better (i.e, we'd swaddle her trunk and body but let her arms out...she really liked to sleep with both arms above her head ...and continued to sleep that way well past 18 months old.
