Hi Everyone..
I am so late at delivering the news (please forgive me) as life has been very hectic around here..

Joseph Patrick was born on 9/18/08 weighing in at 8lbs 15oz and he is 21inches!

My 1st DS is no longer the baby (at 19mo) and he knows it!! Mommy time is no longer.... and life as I know it has completly changed.. We are blessed and so very happy! JP is a great sleeper by day but at night hes a different baby!!

Labor and delivery- Real contractions started at 6am in the morning... and boy did they hurt.. I never had bad contractions w/ my first son so I didnt know what to expect...Well girls, it wasnt very pleasent, I hope that nobody experiences that pain.. Got to the hospital at 11:30 and delivered baby at 3:57! Pushed for 1/2 an hour. My DH was a real tropper in L&D... He was watching King of the hill on the TV but when it was time he was an excellent coach!

Wishing all upcoming pregnancies a unpainfull experience and hopefully it goes fast for all!

How is life with 3? They keeping you busy?

Life is good. Evan still has his days and nights backwards so I'm a bit tired. Luckily the other kids are in school/daycare so I can nap. I feel great and recovery was easy except for the contractions I had for 3 days after I delivered. Watch out for those!!!!

I just posted the events of the hospital on the DisUnplugged board if you want to read.

Caleb Allen arrived Thursday 9-25 @ 5:18pm. He weighed 9lbs .03 lbs and was 20 1/2 inches. Overall it was an easy labor. I went in Wed night for the cerbadal (sp?) to start getting the cervix open. They took out the cerbadal thurs am and started me on the pitocin. Apparently when I went in wed night I was having contractions but did not know it. They were 6 mins apart then. Thursday am contractions still were not being felt until my water broke on its on around noon...then the contractions started coming hard and fast. They gave me the epidoral about 1 1/2 hr later and checked me afterwards and i was all ready to go. I ended up pushing for 2 1/2 hrs (that was the really only hard part of the labor--his head got stuck on my pelvic bone so that was the problem). I ended up getting really lucky and got the midwife instead of my regualr doctor ( I realized to late that he was really rough) and I was told that if I would have had my doctor that he probably would have wheeled me in for a c-section since it took soo long. So I really couldn't have asked for a better day.

We were finally realeased mon night from the hospital. He ended up having a severe case of jaundice so he ended up being up under double lights for 48 hrs. I think the nurses were really sad to see him leave they had gotten soo attached to him since he was in the nursery soo much longer than normal babies.

Overall he is a really good baby. Our first night home went really well. we are taking it easy. Daddy took this week off (well he was supposed to go back Thursday but since we were in the hospital til yesterday he decided to take the rest of the week off to get to spend some time with Caleb at home and we would not have had much time if he went back on Thurs) Once i get around sometime to upload some pics I will post some.
