Hi ladies! Has our thread been restarted? Please let me know if it has, otherwise hopefully everyone will find their way here! :goodvibes:

Bump! Holy cow the community board move so fast, especially with everyone trying to restart threads, etc (and the boards moving quicker! ;)). I just got a PM from at least 2 of you, so hopefully we can all start finding one another again! :)

Oh, good!!! I didn't think I could stand to wait 24 hours to talk to you ladies again! :) Everyone give an update so the thread doesn't get lost!!! :lmao:

As for me.....I'm almost 39 weeks. I thought I might have been having mild contractions last night, but they went away. Hopefully *something* is happening down there? Dh and I still have some little things to do around here to get ready, so it wouldn't be bad to have one more weekend of peace and quiet. We're still holding out for a 7 in the birthdate, so Sunday would be good!!!

Hi Amy! How exciting that "something" seems to be happening! Here's hoping for a nice evening and Saturday with your DH, getting a lot accomplished and enjoying one anothers' company, and maybe a new arrival on Saturday! :) Are you feeling well otherwise?

As for me, I'm 16 weeks today, but measuring about 22 and beginning to feel the difference. (In case you are finding us for the first time or just don't recall, there are 2 in there -- I'm not just huge! :)) The good news is, though, that I haven't vomited for 7 days! And with no Zofran! AND, I have gained about 2 pounds! :rotfl:

:cool1: Have you scheduled the big sono yet? Are you going to find out what gender(s) the babies are? I'm glad you are getting over the morning sickness. I remember how awful that was with my first 2.

Yes, mine was all day sickness... and the nausea isn't gone yet, but I think things are looking up -- which is a fine start, as far as I'm concerned!

We have our Level II u/s scheduled on February 19th. I was so spoiled by the RE getting scans every week or two, that it has been VERY difficult for me to get this far without seeing them... especially considering it is 100% true (and the OBs have no trouble reminding you ) that you absolutely cannot ever be certain you are hearing heartbeats of multiples well on just the doppler. Ugh! It will be wonderful just seeing that they are both right on track! Certainly my uterus would indicate so.... ;)

But yes, we are hoping to find out the gender(s) if they cooperate! We swore we never would, but the idea of two has certainly changed that, for a handful of reasons!

Just popping in to say what happened to this thread (I always peek in once ina while since Brady was born to see how everyone is doing and see pics of the new babies!)? I also tried to find the New Moms Thread, and it also has seemed to disappear?!?!

Anywho....good luck ladies in your upcoming weeks! Can't wait to see more pics of new little Disers! :goodvibes

Kelly, nothing happened to the threads specifically. The DIS is running an experiment by "hiding" all of the threads with 10,000+ posts to see if the server would run more efficiently. I have to say, so far it's working tremendously! There are a lot of questions about what will happen after said experiment proves that the long threads are bogging down the server, but at least for the next 24 hours, they have all had to find new homes! :goodvibes:

Ahhhhhh....I get it!! Thanks for explaining! :thumbsup2

I was just thinking last night.....I haven't been blogging or writing about my pregnancy, so I wanted to C&P all my posts from this thread to a word doc or something, since this is the only place I really update on my appts. I sure hope the old thread isn't gone forever. :sad1:

Yea! I need you ladies...can't go 24 hours without you! Question for all you mommies with prior children. When did your Aunt Flow return if you breastfed? I've been breastfeeding 7 weeks and I think mine is returning. Poop! I was hoping to go at least another month. :guilty:

I am told it will come back at least long enough to get stuff, redirect people, etc. I am told this, because I asked, since I totally don't have our list saved on Word or anything  :duck: I DIS from various computers, so I always just make a note of the most recent time I've posted it, so I can quote it, just adding the new changes. I was worried, but at least I know I can grab it tonight or tomorrow morning and put it somewhere that's "safe" :rotfl:

I have 4 children and "Aunt Flow" returned anywhere from 3-8 months after they were born. I once did have a very strange period though after 2 months, but then nothing until 5 months later.

I´d love to chat on this thread. I had a midwife appointment this morning and thankfully everything was great. I measure 1 week bigger than "normal", but that´s kind of expected when you´re pregnant with nr. 5. I still weigh less than when I got pregnant, despite not having had any morning sickness, so that´s great as well. Can´t wait for our 3-d scan at the end of the month. We´re going to take the 3 oldest kids with us, since they´ve been begging to get to see their baby brother "on tv".:goodvibes

:cool1: Congrats on your good appt. My little guy has been measuring a week ahead since very early on, as well, even on the sonos, but they never changed the due date. I'm just secretly hoping that my original due date of 1/27 is on the money and he comes this weekend! My big sonogram was right before we were going to WDW, so I didn't want the kids to miss another day of school, and they didn't get to go with us.

I was wondering what happened to the other thread. If we are unable to get the old word list of due dates back, then we may have to give our due dates/gender (if we know it) again and just redo the list. Hopefully it won't come to that but if it does then we'll make do.

Anyway, I am 18 weeks today. I had an appt. and all is well. I still am down 4 lbs from where I started pre-pregnancy which is no big deal. It was an uneventful appt. I can't wait till my "big" u/s which is Feb. 8. Only 2 more weeks to go!

Hi. I never posted on the previous thread as it was too long. I don't like to jump in mid-thread and start posting. Anyway, DH and I are expecting our first 5/5/08. We're having a little girl, Isabelle.

Pregnancy is going pretty well. We do have what's called a single artery umbilical cord. According to my OB and perinatologist, it's rather common (1 out of 100) and we shouldn't have any complications. Well, I should say they haven't found any yet. However, because of this we get to have an ultrasound every 4 weeks to monitor her growth. A couple of weeks ago she weighed 1lb and 8oz which is average. It's fun to see her and watch her grow. Plus, we have tons of pics. She's going to have a photo album complete before she's even here.

Hi ladies! Was checking in, and surprised to see that Alex got rid of all the ongoing threads! Good to see this one started up...

So, can you believe it... In just about 1 hour, my Amanda Joy will be 1 week old!! So hard to believe that we've had her for a week now. Already, it's hard to imagine life w/out her. I had my first trip out w/out her today. I took my 8 year old DD to the store to pick up a b-day present for a sleepover tomorrow night (hurray! I can finally drive again). I fed Amanda just before leaving (I'm b'feeding), and about 30 min in to our outing, called DH to see how she was doing.. sure enough, she cried as soon as I left, and he had just gotten her to fall asleep! LOL :confused3

Hope everyone is doing well!

Denise.. as for Aunt Flow returning.. honestly, I can't remember!

Congratulations! The great thing about the old thread is that it was one of those types where you could just jump in mid-thread, unlike a lot of the longer threads where you would feel lost if you did that. I actually joined the thread several years ago when it first started because I was pregnant with my dd. Then I gave birth and "graduated" from the thread and stopped posting. I found out I am expecting baby #2 a few months ago and jumped in and started posting again. There is always "new" pregnant moms on that thread so it's not too hard to keep up from the point you start posting till the end of your pregnancy. I hope you will continue to post either here or there or wherever WMAlex decides it best for the board.

Btw, my dd's b-day is 5/5/05. It's a great day to have a baby! ;)

Welcome! I promise we have this cute list of people and due dates, etc to keep track of, and you'll get a fancier welcome then .... but some doofus (me) needs to wait for the thread to show back up to get it. :rolleyes1 I'm sorry! :teeth:

Welcome, kappyfinn!!! And Freyja, it's good to see you posting again!!!

Ok, so here's a question to keep the thread going.....

If working, how long do you plan on taking off/did you take off? How long will your dh be able to take off to stay home?

I wasn't working with the first two, but I'm on maternity leave as of 37w2d, and quite honesly have no plans of going back.

Now, the dh part is what I'm nervous about! DH took off 2 weeks with DD, and then a full MONTH off with DS. We planned and took 3 big vacations last year, because we didn't want to cancel anything due to the pregnancy. So, DH is fairly low on vacation. He gets 1 week paternity leave, plus he'll take a couple extra days if I have baby mid-week, but then that's it! :scared1: His schedule is somewhat flexible, so hopefully he'll at least be taking the 2 big kids to school for me for a couple weeks after returning to work.
