We are excited to sign up and go on our first Disney Cruise!!! We have cruised a lot, but never on DCL. I signed up for the roll call and the FE- sounds like so much fun, but I goofed and accidentally put our names and ages on bledsoedoc's line.

So bledsoedoc- I tried to fix it, but was unable to. I put our info on the correct line and added your names back, but I didn't remember your ages. If you tell me then I can fix it for you. I am so sorry!!

No problem. I fixed the ages. Everything else looked good. Happy Holidays everyone.

Only 68 days!!! Getting really excited and enjoying the preperation. Just didour online check in and picked out time to arrive at the port. My hubby gave me the Disney Cruise Passporters book for Christmas. Lots of good ideas.

Has anyone used DCL for in room gifts? We always have Disney Florist have Mickey pay us a visit while at Disney World. Anything like that on the cruise ship? Is it worth the cost? Any other suggestions? Thanks and Happy Holidays!

We just paid our final balance, so I guess we are going on this cruise! It will be me, dh, and our kids, ds(12) and dd (8). Count us in on the FE....so glad I finally learned what that one was about! We will be ordering ours online - thanks for that ebay link!

Love all your ideas on the excursions as well. Lots to think about!

Don't forget to sign up on the google doc. It wouldn't let me post the link because I am so new, but it is on the first message of the thread. If you look at the tabs on the bottom of the page, there is one for the fish extenders and I didn't see you on there

Hooray! The holidays are almost over and I can start focusing on our Disney Cruise and Disneyworld trip!

We're going to Hawaii for two weeks in January, but I sort of feel like I'm almost overlooking that and counting down to Disneyworld because I'm more excited about that. I'm such a spoiled brat! Actually, though, we've had the cruise planned for a long time but my husband's grandma passed away this year and his whole family is going to Hawaii to spread her ashes. So it's not exactly the same kind of trip.

Anyway, off to visit the spreadsheet and see how many people we've got for the FE exchange!

I've begun purchasing my FE gifts and am being very optimistic about additional sign ups. (Basically buying enough for way too many gift bags!) Come on everyone, join in

Being a first time DCL cruiser and new to this board I was hoping you guys could help me out with a couple of questions...
1. I saw a post mention a cruise meet- is there a set time and place?
2. FE sign up deadline is February 1st?
3. There were several post about shirts with links for graphics...do we all make whichever ones we want or is their a set one? Is there a specific time to wear it?

The person that started a lot of those things is no longer going on our cruise, but I'm sure we can still organize/decide on them.
Cruise meet: we had mentioned 3pm the day we board, we would just need to decide if that is a good time and where to meet. And maybe that would be a good day to wear shirts if we decide to make them. And choose a design so we all have the same one and know who/what to look for at the meet.

What does everyone think?? Cruise meet? Shirts?
I think we should stick with a FE sign up deadline. Any thoughts?

For those who have done fe before, how many times per cruise do you drop off trinkets? Are they anonymous or do you leave your names?

For those who have signed up on the roll call but not the fe, there is a 2nd tab on the spreadsheet for the fe and a 3rd tab for excursions...took me awhile to figure that out...

3pm the day we board sounds OK to us for a meeting...as for shirts, there is no way I will be successful getting my hubby in an identicle shirt to anyone else...sorry.

I'm good with 3:00 the day we board, but will defer completely to those that are past disney cruisers to the location

The two selections for the shirts that were favorites look good to me, for any interested. I think I will make the pirate ones for pirate night (my little ones already have their pirate costumes- so for the adults only, or just me if my hubby refuses ) and am up for making the first our cruise logo/theme photo.

I can't wait!!! I am so excited.

I am good with 3 pm the day we embark the ship, but where should we meet?

I probably will not make cruise meet specific shirts. I have enough custom outfits I'm bringing I don't know HOW I am going to have enough space as it is. So I'm not worrying about it too much.

I have a big question about the FE exchange though. If we only have 6 families participating, will we do something for every day, or one thing for the whole week? If we're only going to have 6 families, I am going to plan on doing something every day for each day we're there. I am hoping that others are thinking similarly. Even if we had like, 12 families sign up I think I'd still do something every day.... Thoughts??

anybody interested in my nochi cocum reservation yet???? I have paid the deposit for 2 ppl $28.... i will email you my confirmation email and you can go to nochi by only paying the remaining balance of $82.... just pm me and let me know if you would like it as we had to cancel this cruise....

also, i am so excited for you guys who are going! its coming up fast, glad to hear everyone got their palo and excursions booked. can't wait to read the trip reports!!!

For FE I planned on doing one gift/bag of goodies for each child, and one bag of goodies for the adults/family. I have enough for something each day, but figured it would be easier to just do one drop-off. Even with only 6 of us signed up so far the stuff is getting kind of heavy, not sure how I am going to pack it. If we get more signed up I might have to have 1 suitcase for FE stuff. It has been so much fun getting stuff together and making some stuff.

So it sounds like most people are good for a 3pm meet time, but I have never been on a Disney cruise, or any cruise for that matter, so I don't know anything about the ships. We could just choose one of the clubs to meet in? Anyone that has been on the Magic have an idea?

And it looks like some people don't want to do a meet shirt, so that is ok. I will probably do the pirate one for pirate night but might still do the other one. I will have to see how much will fit in the suitcases and how much they weigh.

I can't PM yet as I am too new to disboards and when I have tried they block me and tell me I haven't created enough posts yet. I also tried to PM Shoopdeedoda because I saw they signed up to participate in the FE on the thread, but not the google doc.

How do you ship the items to the ship? Have you ever done that and the items not arrive? That would make it so easy and I would love to learn how!!
