NEW Just got home! Feb 11-16 DDP with PICTURES.

Great pics! But now I'm hungry. :)

Keep the pics coming, please!

Thanks for the reviews so far! The verdict is still out on which Epcot places we want to try on our trip in August so I'm always looking for reviews of them. Right now, I think the front runners are Teppan Edo, Les Chefs and Le Cellier, but that could change.;)

Great reviews!! Can't wait to read your review on Narcoossee's as DH and I have an ADR for there in April.

Day 3 we headed to MGM...oh oh OH sorry i meant "Disney's Hollywood Studios". lol. Anyway, it was a nice day, though a bit chilly. I think people may have stayed away from the parks, expecting another downpour like the day before. There weren't really any lines. We walked right up to the counter at Toy Story Pizza Planet and ordered.

ME:

Buzz's Meal Deal - Individual cheese pizza served with a garden salad.
Mickey's Crisped Rice Treat - Mickey's Crisped Rice Treat
Dasani Bottled Water

I don't think i can fully express my love for the Mickey's Crisped Rice Treat. It is so soft and marshmellow-y. The pizza was what you would expect, crust-sauce-cheese. The only disappointing thing was the salad. It was pretty pathetic. A pile of little white and yellow wilted leaves, and 2 tiny tomatos. With the pizza being the size it was, and the plan including dessert, I didn't find that the salad was even necessary. PS. Sorry, i started eating before i remembered the pic, lol.

DF:

Junkyard Meal Deal - Individual veggie pizza (mushroom, pepper, onion, and tomato) served with a garden salad.
Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies - Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies
Sprite

DF's pizza was good as well. Her only complaint was that the veggies on the pizza seemed to be cooked seperately and kept falling of since they weren't baked into the cheese. I actually looked over and thought she was picking them all off! The cookie was soft and chewy. Definately tasted homemade.

Because of the lack of lines, we got through MGM pretty quickly. Instead of heading home, we decided to jetset around the Magic Kingdom resorts on the monorail in anticipation of our 2 cred dinner at Narcoosee's. We headed first to the Contemporary to score a drink at the California Grill. I though DF might like to see the amazing view from the "top of the world". Unfortunately, the bar was full to capacity so we moved on. Instead, we stopped for drinks at Tambu Lounge at the Polynesian.

Here's what we had:

Crisp Breads & Dips - 3 breads (wonton, cracker, french stick), 3 dips (crab, marinara, red pepper)
Sunken Treasure (Green) DF's.
Raspberry Champagne (Pink) Mine.

This was a great ap. DF's fave was the red pepper dip, which had a texture kind of like a hummus. My fave was the crab. There was a great selection of breads. I especially liked the wontons. The atmosphere is very busy and loud. Being that this is the bar where people wait to be seated at Ohana, there's always a crowd. Do not expect a dark quiet drinking spot. DF's Sunken Treasure was sweet, and POWERFUL. You could definately taste the alcohol. My raspberry champagne was smooth and bubbly. The bartender was pretty frazzled with the crowd and didn't really have much chance to be attentive. For a quick snack on a monorail shopping tour, this is the place.

Next we booked it to Narcoosee's. We made it just in time to watch the Lagoon Light Parade while we waited for our table. The staff was very friendly, and very efficient. We only waited about 10 minutes after check in to be seated. When we got to our table, our server Rita was great. She was very friendly and very attentive.

You're going to hate me, but even though there were many tempting things on the menu, DF and i had the same thing. Again. You just can't mess with Canadian girls and their Surf N Turf...

ME:

Narcoossee's Chowder - A hearty soup with seafood, potatoes, and cream.
Surf and Turf - Grilled Filet Mignon and Butter-poached lobster tail, with potato gratin and a green peppercorn-brandy sauce.
Key Lime Creme Brulee - Key Lime Creme Brulee.

I never thought soup could get better than the Bisque at Chefs De France. I was wrong. So very, very wrong. This was amazing. Every bite was incredibly creamy, and laced with chunks of pure crab meat. The only problem? The bowl was too small!

After seeing this, can you really blame us both for wanting it? The meat was cooked perfectly, the potatoes delicious, the lobster tail fresh! And oh, the drawn butter....After having this meal, i tried to convince my parents to switch their reservations from Citrico's to Narccoosee's. When we went to Citrico's to look at their menu, i started talking to the hostess. After mentioning the Surf N Turf at Narccoosee's and telling her what a fan my mother is of lobster she recommended they go to Narccoosee's too! It's that good. Unfortunately for my parents, it was full for the rest of the week. Make sure you make reservations!

I don't know if you had picked up on this yet or not, but DF and i have a thing for Creme Brulee. This one was also excellent. The key lime was an interesting change from the sweeter flavors usually chosen for the dessert. The tangy bite was great even though i just couldn't finish all that food.

DF:

Buttermilk Fried Shrimp - With celery rootslaw and horseradish cream sauce.
Surf and Turf - Grilled Filet Mignon and Butter-poached lobster tail, with potato gratin and a green peppercorn-brandy sauce.
Key Lime Creme Brulee - Key Lime Creme Brulee.

Appetizers are the only thing that DF and ordered differently. She said that the shrimp was excellent. The batter was light and not too greasy, and the combination of the sweetness and spicy of the slaw and horseradish was excellent.

Originally we weren't going to go to Narcoosee's. I had been years ago and wasn't very impressed. I can honestly say, without a doubt, that it turned out to be our best meal of the trip! Do not miss it!

This looks amazing! We will actually be staying at the Poly for the first few days of our trip in April. But we have two young children. Do you know if kids are around at the lounge? And if not can we get these things to go and enjoy them in our room?

I still call the Studios MGM too. I think it's going to take a really long time to call it anything else. I love Tambu Lounge, and that raspberry cocktail looks wonderful.

The Mexican was just at the Quick Service counter service, not the actual sit down restaurant yet. We got one Churro each, but it was massive. It was probably about a foot and a half long. With all the food we got in the combo, it was all we needed for dessert. They also offered Bunuelos which are round fritters rolled in cinnamon sugar. At the San Angel Inn, which is the sit down restaurant in the actual pavillion, they have desserts like Flan, Bread Pudding and Vanilla ice cream.

They sound good and might have to add this to our stop. Thanks again

Kids are absolutely around the lounge. It opens right up on the lobby. Everybody who is there is usually waiting to get in to Ohana. There shouldn't be any problem with pullin up with kids in tow.

PS. Jump back down to the last review, i have since finished the Narcoosee's section. :)

Great reviews, thanks for sharing. That Mexican food looks gorgeous, I am wondering why we have never been there!

Oh thank you for sending back to your post. The food looks amazing at Narcoossee's and I totally agree with you on us Canadian girls and our surf and turf. I have actually made adr's for Narcoossee's on our next trip. My DH and I usually put in one signature restaurant per trip and last time it was Cali Grill. That too was wonderful! Next on my list is the Flying Fish which I have been wanting to try since our honeymoon in 2001. We just could not afford it back then.:sad2:

Thanks so much for your amazing reviews! I will keep reading! :cheer2:
