Right, testing only for now. I thought I read in one of the many reports a start date but I can't recall for certain #1, that I saw that or #2, what it was. It shouldn't be long though, talking days not several weeks or months.

OK, so then they may be running from POP during my trip starting 8/9!? Do you know if they start early - like 6AM? I would use this for my one AK EMH day instead of chancing the buses to get " front of the pack" to FOP.

No, it does not start at 6 AM, it's a bit later than that. I suggest going to one of the Minnie Van threads here on the Transportation board and reading there. More details about it are found there. This thread is about the Express Transportation bus

Hours will be 6:30 a.m.-12:30 a.m..

Supposedly, if first Minnie van can not accommodate everything, a second vehicle will be provided, at no added cost.

Have you considered maybe doing rope drop for DHS, hit a few non-FP rides, then use the bus to get to AK for those FPs? We are planning something like this for one day. The drop off at AK is a big advantage with some of the big rides .

We are looking to do something similar..... Rope drop at DHS for early EMH and then express bus to AK for our breakfast ADR for ROL dining package at Tusker House. But it all depends on grabbing the first bus from DHS to AK.

What time is your ADR? That first bus isn't until 10:10.

Anyone have a sense of door-to-door time for DHS to Epcot? I know the buses are on the hour and half hour, just couldn't find how long we could expect this to take.

One day we will be in DHS in the afternoon/evening and then heading over to Epcot for the dessert party -- seems like this could be perfect.

The one trip I timed it, it was about 12 minutes. However, there is quite a bit of road construction, and some routes are slightly changed; so, it could be a little longer. It's certainly much faster than the FriendShip boat, though.

I read they will start at the end of this month. Not a date but it should be getting close.

ADR is 10:50a. In Spring I took the Express bus from AK to DHS and don't think it was that long a ride..... maybe less then 15 minutes?! So the other way can't be much different.

For the express transportation experts... what are your thoughts on taking the 10am bus from MK to AK and being able to make a 9:45-10:45 AM FOP fastpass? I figured 10:30 to arrive in AK at best... And with the grace period, we would be OK? Thoughts?

When I did my FPs, I made 8/27 a AK day. But I want to do EMM in MK (7:45-9) and then express to AK. The only FP I really care about are the FOP ones... Thanks!

Assuming a no more than 20 minute ride, I would say yes, since it drops you off in Africa, you can use the Pandora entrance by the Tusker House. And you have a 15 minute leeway after your fastpass expires.

I'm still a bit confused on the end of night issue. I read that they'll run one bus past closing time- so would that mean you can get an ET bus past closing time of the park you're in, but the only busses that will be available for you to take would ones going to parks that have not yet reached their own closing times? Also, regarding EMH- if AK closes at 9:30 and I'm going to the 8:45 RoL show, once that show is over, would there be no ET bus option to Epcot, since Epcot has EMH that night from 9 to 11? Thanks!

If we purchase the express for the week, is there a DVC discount? Oops, I see it is for hoppers. I just wanted express to parks LOL
