I am way up here, just north of Bangor, ME, but would love to come to a DIS meet at RFC if I can swing the timing with work. I know there are quite a few Mainers on the Boards- it actually kind of surprises me! Living in Maine, I am not afraid of driving long distances, that's for sure... but if there's anyplace closer than burlington, that'd be great! I grew up in MA (Peabody) and lived in the area for about 30 years, so I know where you are talking about and how long it takes to get there. I'll check back occasionally and see what's up!

Jumping in from Norwood, Ma. Would love to do a meet. My next trip to Disney isn't until Sept.

airhead - Love the name!! Wish I'd thought of it!! :rotfl:

Improvgal - Love the visual about Disney's shrinking food sizes (they better not mess with the Mickey Bar!!)

Linda

LOL I was an airbrush artist for many years

Got it! Cute!! ;) ;)

Hey Jenn - weekends are good for me. For some reason for the next few months I've got some Saturdays tied up but most of my Sundays are good. Should we throw out a few potential dates??

Linda

South shore gal here ... I'd love to attend a DIS meet and put some faces to the names here! If I were able to make it RFC seems to be the best option. However, I'm not voting as I doubt I can go since DS is keeping me running most weekends with baseball. Time will tell ;)

RFC
Pros:
Easy to find (Burlington Mall, right off of 128)
Traffic is usually decent except for rush hours.
Similar in setup and menu to RFCs in FL

Cons:
You're not in Disney when you come out :rotfl:

I will be traveling to Manchester sometime next month for work. Maybe I can make it into a long weekend. Will also be going to Boston the weekend of the 19th so I can ride my bike to Windsor VT. Will be staying with a friend who lives in Bedford.

Guess we need a bump!! Oh, and Disneydonnam, meant to tell you - grew up in Norwood (a hundred years ago!! ;) )

Linda

Wow you got out of Norwood. I grew up on Railroad Ave and after got married we moved two whole streets away to rock St. We keep looking at other towns but we are still here.

Yeah, I left around '73 (I told you it was a long time ago!!! :lmao: ) I was closer to Boston for a while (Quincy, Medford) but I've been in the Milford/Hopedale area for almost 20 years now - not TOO far away...

Linda

We're in Littleton and would love to come! Just came back from a Disney Give A Day Meet with some people in Ayer.

Either Yak and Yeti or RFC would be fine with us. Let us know a date!

DH is doconeill on the boards.

Hi,
I am in Woburn and would love to join everyone at the Rainforest Cafe in Burlington! What do you all do when you meet up? I don't really know anyone individually on the Boards but have been here since 2007/2008-ish. Will everybody know everyone else?
Love this Board a lot it really helped me plan my trip. Am planning another for 2011, this time to see Harry Potter too.
Nice to meet everyone!

ok looks like RFC is the winner for now. that doesn't mean we can't do a casino trip later.

What weekends look good for everyone and should it be a lunch or dinner thing

Give me a few dates then we can set up another poll

Saturday evenings work best for us. Or even a Friday night! Best times for us to be able to get a sitter for our girls!!!

Just stumbled on this thread! It would be wonderful to meet with other people who understand my "little" Disney and DISboards obcession! :surfweb:

I live in in the dead-center of the state, Rutland, not too far from Worcester. Rutland is so small that we don't have any traffic lights... but of course we have two Dunkin' Donuts! :rotfl2:

This weekend I was at a family party and a few people were talking about an ice cream shop that is awesome in Sterling. I said "oh, that is my favorite place!" They just looked at me confused and said "I thought Disney World was your favorite place?" OK, I guess I should have said "that is my favorite place to get ice cream" (assuming we are talking about places were Dole Whips are not available, of course!) :rotfl:

Darn, now I am in the mood for a Dole Whip! :headache:

Friday nights and Saturdays are usually good for me. These dates are good:

4/30, 5/7, 5/8, 5/14, 5/15, 5/21, 5/28, 5/29, 6/4, 6/5 (evening), 6/11, 6/19, 6/25, 6/26

That's a start!! Also, I have one of those RFC Safari Club cards - don't know if that would be helpful in making a reservation??
