New England Meet Thread for Disney Lovers

Hey haven't talked to you in forever how are you? How long will you be in Boston? and RI maybe we can get a couple of meets planned I'd love to meet you in Boston if I can.

I am going up to Boston in June. And will be in RI in August.

Oh, and at DW in May.......

I'm good busy lately but very good I miss chatting with everyone but things are great here maybe we can schedule a meet when you're around. I am looking at planning a trip to Disney in late July early August

Welcome timmac I have a good friend that is a Disney nut like me who lives in Haverhill.

What kind of place would you be interested in meeting at?

We would be up for some sort of meet as well. There is a dis meet section so maybe he mods can move this thread? It may get more hits there.

My suggestions would be to possibly wait till the new yak and yeti restaurant opens up in Somerville, ma. I think it would be neat to get a bunch of people together there as it will be a little piece of Disney here in new England.

PS. I do realize its not a Disney resturant nor is it associated with them at all but I figured we all could see the connection. This new restaurant is the same chain as the Disney one for what its worth.

I met my DGF RoseAnne (moremickey4me) here on the boards as well as several other good friends from this area.

I don't check the boards as often as I used to, but lots of us are still around and love to get together with other fun Disneyphiles.

Look forward to seeing more local traffic on the thread and planning another get-together for this area.

Are we doing singles only, or are we including people who travel solo, too? I'm in Plymouth, if you don't mind a curmudgeonly woman who loves to travel sans family.

I was involved in the New England meet last year and it went really well.
We actually started off with a few polls: where and when.
The choices we had were for skiing in VT or Foxwoods Casino in CT. We ended up in the casino. We met for dinner, drinks, gaming, etc. I met some great people who I now consider my friends. Also give some dates and see who is interested.
I would be open to attending another meet. I am sure Tom would be joining as well.

Jenn, good to talk to you again - I haven't been on the boards much (too much work and life getting in the way!!) I miss the chats too - esp on Joe's site. Hope you're well!

I love the idea of a get-together in NE (I'm another central MA/Blackstone valley person..) I'd vote for some place festive for a meet-up - Rainforest is great (I've been there a lot with my nieces and nephew) or a casino would be cool too. I have a friend/co-worker who's also a Disney freak - maybe she'd come with me (she's married, but who cares??)

I'm trying to save $$$ this year, but I am getting in one short trip in August with my family - cannot wait!
