Ozziewags ... I have prayed for and thought about you and your DH and family ... but I neglected to mention it here ... so I wanted to send those good vibes :goodvibes to you through this thread! Glad to hear DH is feeling better ... hope he's well on his way to good health!

Good morning all -

Mouseteacher and DF -- I laughed when I saw your plans to join the potato head club. Remember, the store in downtown disney has a much better selection of pieces than the store in the Animal Kingdom. Have fun and make my DS and I proud. We expect to see bulging boxes with no "air space" in there. Just remember - there is always more room for another set of eyes, an earing or a pair of glasses folded carefully and slipped in along the side. Get as much in the actual potato as you can before going on to fill the box.

I was at our local lego store where they now have a thing where you can fill a container with as many legos as fit in there for a set price. As I stuffed those pieces of plastic in the container, I felt as though I was reliving our potato head moment.

By the way, mentioned to Potato Head that you all were gathering in July for a quick meet and that got her attention. She said "we have to go" -- she asked if you all were bringing your kids and I honestly did not know. So, are you all going solo or bringing munchins along?

Disbug -

Thinking of you and your little munchkin. Hoping she is better soon.

Have a great day everyone.

Lauren

OOPS

Change that last post -- I meant Hockeymom, not Mouseteacher --

Why do I always mix the two of you up?

Sorry about that.

Lauren

A big hello and good morning to all.....

I haven't posted much lately...still trying to recover from my 2 weeks in paradise...

Ozzie I hope your dh is doing much better....

Disbug hoping that your dd is fully recovered soon...

We qualified for our shelter puppy....we get to go pick it out tomorrow.....can't wait...the entire family is really excited..we won't be able to bring her home until after Jan 27th but that works really well for my schedule...

My dad has prostate surgery scheduled for Jan 29th...mind you he is still trying to recover from the biopsy when the nicked him and he bleed for 5 days....he is still 2 pints low...I wonder how they can start surgery for such a high risk person if he hasn't recovered fully from the last surgery....but I guess time will tell...So, I'll be headed to NC on Jan 28th

DH loved the dolphin so much that for our trip in Dec he said we should stay in the 2bdrm exec suite again instead of borrowing points from our 2005 use year to stay at the BWV the entire trip....YIPPEEE!!!! May be next time I can get a great view....

ZW and Muffy, can I ask how much that 2 bdrm exec suite costs? Did you use Starwood points for it?

Thanks.

Lauren

DD2 is going to have to have a feed tube put in...:( I guess it's for the best, but still.... it's just one more thing for little miss to deal with.

Dismeet, to solo or not to solo? Hmmm, interesting, Lauren. I am probably dragging my family along! Unless DH talks me out of it, then I will be there with no more than 1 DD. My middle child, still LOVES WDW and craves to go as much as I. The other child DD15 has reached the "my family is SO embarassing" stage and begs to NOT go! (Yes, she is mine... but she must have her Dad's genes on this one!)

More later... happy day all, the SUN is back out in Florida!:sunny:

Lauren that was a great question. I might end up solo, but my DD6 would love to come. I want my DD14 to come, but she has the same thinking as your DD15, Disbug. Or I guess it is more that she sould rather stay home to be with her friends when she is on vacation from school. I don't blame her.;)

You know, the other day Disbug mentioned that we need a Sorority song and also warned everyone that I might chime in. I had an idea at the time but I decided to behave for a change.

Then Lauren mentioned Munchkins and I felt that was a sign that my original thought was correct. Soooooooo.....

The Sigma Delta Sorority Theme Song

I'm not just a picture guy I'm a multimedia guy!

:wave2:

Loubon......If I had a clapping smilie I'd use it.....Love the song...

Joshua4 I used points for my 3 night stay and it was 20,000 pts per night....when I had one night on cash it was AAA and I think it was 720 per night....could be wrong on that one...

Here is a link to the trip reports that Zurgie is writing from our trip..

hope everybody can access it...

On going solo or with munchins (although mine are not so munchkins)- it would be cost effective for just me or 2 of us to go. I am sure DSthen21 will not want to go - so we'll see if it will be 1 or 2 or 3 of us! ;)

Hi all,

Hey Muffy...so good to hear from you. I can't believe you get so much time down there. You are so lucky. We love hearing your reports. So what room are you in now? An Exec suite on the west side of Dolphin? Is that right? I may be mixing you up with someone else! Have you seen Thabo or Mama T at all?

Ozzie, Yes, we are here at the Dolphin for 15 nights in a renovated Executive suite on the west wing, 3rd floor. We were upgraded to an exec suite because they were fully booked. We are Platinum (like you ;) ) Yes, I have seen Thabo many times at CL. He visited with us while we had breakfest just the other day. I have never met Mama T. I think she is at the Swan.

KelliR We did eat at the Blue Zoo for the second time last night. Last week we all tried the crispy fried cantonese lobster. It was GREAT. Last night we had rotisserie market fish and rotisserie chicken. Both GREAT entrees. We were there around 6:00pm and only one other family was there. I noticed a large group there around 8:00. It is located at the bottom of the escalator at the Dolphin.

ZW~ Love Z's trip reports!

Disbug~ great start on your trip report! Keep'em coming.

Muffy~ Thanks for the reviews of Blue Zoo. I can't imagine how wonderful it would be to stay in Disney for 15 nights! The longest I have stayed is 8 nights and I considered that still too short! The exec suite sounds divine, too. How are th crowds now? I'm guessing the parks are relatively quiet.

Muffy>> I am getting so hungry reading your reviews.... yet we're having mac and cheese for dinner tonight! I will have to be more creative tomorrow. The Blue Zoo sounds fabulous! How dressed would DS have to be if we decided to have a dinner there? Would dockers/ polo be dressed enough for a ten year old boy?

ZW>> Love the DH's trip reports! P and PD to your father!

Lou>> The song works! I even managed to hit "mute" quick enough so the entire school didn't hear it! I had to sneak into the boards when my kids were in gym today.

Lauren>> I need potato head hints! please!

DF>>I have to share with you that this entire area was scared when we traded for Chelie.... Chelios was so hated in this area! I have to say though, within two games I think the hate turned into instant love for our newest wing! Its almost like he was never a 'hawk!

Disbug>> I hope your youngest is doing better now. I feel so bad for her being sick like that!

On the "sorority trip" I don't know if I'll be solo, with everyone, or just one or two. I have no idea! Hockey camps aren't out yet! College schedules aren't made, let alone deciding on a college! ever get, EVER again! DH is worried about me turning into a CM....:)

Ozzie>> Thank you for giving us an update on your DH! I pray he stays in good health!

*wave to Kelli and Jgates and everyone else*
Happy Friday! We made it!
Debbie

Btw, to Lauren - I am flattered to be confused with #1Hockeymom! We're both educators - maybe that's what is causing the mix up! :D

Finally a few pictures! Fingers crossed....

Muffy

I apologize for the size of the pictures but at least they posted.

Is it just me or does it seem like Muffy has been down there since August??? :teeth:

I think we just found a place to hold our top secret EXECUTIVE sorority meetings!

I think maybe DF has the room during the summer, and Muffy takes it for the winter! I bet we could sqeeze a meeting or two in there! LOL or should we hold out for the piano suite? :)

Thanks for posting, Muffy! I wish our times were overlapping!

Debbie

Aw Disbug, your poor DD - hope this is done with quickly. At least Ozziewags DH is doing better!

Loubon - that song is now driving me nuts! :hyper: :hyper:

As far as y'uns go on this meet this summer - my DD 11 will be with me. DH does not travel with us - hates Disney (don't hold that against me please) - he likes the peace and quiet at home. DS will hopefully be working road construction making $$$$. My aunt is flying in to spend 4 days with us. So all in all - I will have one urchin with me.
