New round of Citi SYW spend offers. Remember these vary dramatically by person and show up via email and/or snail mail. Today I got spend $800/month on Home Improvement, get 10% back up to $100 each month Feb/Mar/April. I need some DGCs and I have family who need a chunk so gift cards here I come!

I thought you were originally talking about the Sears card which I noticed is a "well kept secret" of a card but this is Shop Your Way...interesting...it seems you and everyone else would recommend this card? Points add up fast? As a churner I'm always looking for the big SUBs and these smaller gems are flying under the card radar perhaps.

Do you have to shop through their portal? I use Rak and RMN and TCB when they have huge cashback promos. Does this negate those bigger cashback days? Do you get those special kinds of offers often? It seems a worthy 5/24 slot card with no AF.

It’s the SYW card which used to be the sears card or something. Definitely nothing secret about it, DoC posts every time new spend bonuses go out. I don’t recommend it for every one as it’s not worth a 5/24 slot if you care about that as 1) it’s a gamble if you get the offers and 2) it takes spend you could be putting on new credit cards. Cleaner churners will make more racking up Chase and Amex bonuses. I, however, have hit the game for some time now and don’t get along with Chase any more so I am solidly lol/24. Therefore, I snagged it last year. It’s a complete gamble for sure, for some people extra bonuses never seem to pop and it’s actually a very frustrating card for them. I’ve been happy, I’m in a middle ground where I get some bonuses but not all the good stuff. I am now mentioning when something shows for me. It is NOT to strike FOMO in hearts but to remind others with the card to be careful that day to check their emails and snail mail. Can’t get the offers any other way and so much gets dismissed as junk these days.

Are you set up for automatic monthly payments from your bank account? You have to take it off of autopay in order to use DGCs. And if you don’t pay it all off now, you have to out it back on autopay and leave it until you’re ready to pay it all off.

I hope this is a glitch. I was worried about them taking away the ability to pay with GCs after the last change. I have already paid my 2025 dues, but have started collecting for 2026.

GC glitches have been seen before elsewhere in Disney’s payment system so I wouldn’t worry too much yet. We’ve seen it go down for at least a few days for hotel bookings & DCL payments on a couple occasions.

Has anyone had issues paying their DVC dues with gift cards today? The system keeps telling me my card is expired (didn’t know that was a thing with gift cards), but when I enter the gift card number it recognizes it and the balance pops up … I was able to successfully apply a small Disney rewards redemption to one of the contracts, but the gift card will not go through. I tried transferring my balance, reloading the page, nothing helps. ???

Can you call to pay? If so I’d try that. If that doesn’t work I’d give it a few days to a week to see if it a glitch that sorts out.

Tried today and have gotten the same error as you. Gonna call tomorrow and see if they will take GC payment over the phone and clear up the 2025 dues.

Can you call to pay? If so I’d try that. If that doesn’t work I’d give it a few days to a week to see if it a glitch that sorts out.

The issue here is that after February 15 DVC dues are considered late, and penalties are assessed, so I don’t think anyone wants to wait very long to straighten this out!

This is an awesome deal especially if you combine it with the fuel rewards. You can get $1 off a gallon of gas up to 30 gallons for 10,000 points (my husband fills up and takes extra cans to make sure we get the 30 gallons or fill up 2 cars at once). If you're able to take advantage of the fuel rewards it can equal $150 off gas for a $500 gift card purchase. I'm not sure if the $1 off fuel for 10,000 is always there. I have an earned one right now and it's not showing the option at the moment to claim another one. I can get a 50 cent off per gallon for 5,000 points though.

Make sure that you connect to Member Accounting and not Member Services to pay your dues. You might already know this but I wanted to give you a heads up in case you didn't.

Target has a deal on the One4All Ultimate gift card that if you purchase a $50 gift card, you get a free $5 Target gift card. This is the first time they have included the Ultimate one in the deal, in the past it was only the One4All's that could only be redeemed for 4 or 5 merchants.

Yes it is always there when I have looked but I think they only all you to have one on your account at a time so once you have used it you can trade more points for another $1 off.

The gas is the biggest bang for your buck but we just use the mperks for groceries.

The Meijer Mperks on gas also beats the savings that you can get from Kroger. However since Kroger routinely offers 4x on gift cards, it is very easy to get a $1 off there where you can use up to 35 gallons that is where we go. Kroger started letting you use your points for groceries but it is terrible trade.

Don't forget to use a card that earns towards gas when pumping to get even more savings

You could buy a One4All Ultimate gift card on sale at Target and then redeem it for PetSmart or Chewy (we don't own a pet, but I assume those places sell pet supplies?)

We use mperks for fuel all the time. We fill up two cars at once and get about 26-27 gallons per fill. You can only have one $1 off/gal at a time, so make sure you have a plan for how many points you want to earn at a time before they expire. Once you use up your $1 off reward, another one should show up to redeem. We only fill up about every two weeks so I only get $200 in DGC when they have this deal at a time.

My sister and I get gas at the same time to utilize the $1 off 30 gallons, pretty much the best savings I can find on GCs, $150 off $500.
