NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More.

New round of Citi SYW spend offers. Remember these vary dramatically by person and show up via email and/or snail mail. Today I got spend $800/month on Home Improvement, get 10% back up to $100 each month Feb/Mar/April. I need some DGCs and I have family who need a chunk so gift cards here I come!
My offer was only up to $20 per month 🤨

Check your BJs accounts. I have a one-day coupon - $15 off $150. It expires TODAY.
It does not seem to work on Disney GC, though I don't see GCs listed as an exclusion.
it just worked for mine! Maybe they changed it on the site? I did a 150 for 144.99+ a 25 for 24.49 + 15 off, so 175 in GC for 154.48 (~12% off) plus then paid with my PayPal CC which I believe is 3% back (not sure if they exclude GC).

A big THANK YOU for the BJ's information. We just did exactly as posted above and were able to grab the same deal. We have a vacation at WDW the first week of March and we are looking for any savings that we can get.

I got this offer in my snail mail two days ago and then in my email yesterday but it's for a minimum $750 monthly spend with a maximum of $800 with no categories.

But I also got an offer last month for 10% back on $1500 spend at grocery stores up to $150 statement credit and it is good for every month of 2025.

I want to take advantage of both but I know they won't stack. So I'm guessing that if I make online purchases totaling $800 first and then buy GCs at a grocery store meeting that minimum spend, I will get both?

All the chatter I’ve seen on DoC, SYW offers stack…

Last year I had an offer for spend $1000 / $2000 in grocery, gas, restaurants, get 150,000 / 250,000 points for the last 6 (I think) months of the year. Many of those months I also had an offer for $150 back wys $750 online. From tips on FF, I was able to stack them at walmart by using walmart pay. Those were great months!

This morning I spent some time on the phone with Allianz representatives and supervisors regarding the required documentation for travel expense payments - and specifically addressed gift cards in general. I now have specific confirmation of the steps that are needed IF ANY of the trip costs are paid by ANY gift card - Visa, MC, AMEX, or Disney Gift Card. They require a copy of the original receipt of purchase for the gift card, along with a copy of the gift card used. In addition, they require a copy of the source of payment for the gift card to verify the actual cost of the gift card (if a discount was used)...ie credit card statement. Even went as far as to give me information applicable to gift cards received as gifts. That was interesting. I kept a file for the call and the names etc of the individuals I spoke with. The website info for claim documents is fairly generic, but both individuals were able to give me specific examples of accepted proof of payment - particularly related to items they consider to be “cash”. In my opinion it's worth the call. YMMV
So if you have 4k in gift cards that have been consolidated into four 1k giftcards...but originally they were
all 100 dollars each they want FORTY receipts?

I would expect that so they see how they were purchased. I'm working on saving gc for an abd so I've started keeping each receipt and gc, for digital I have a folder on my email.

I will spend what I already had and don't have record of on a dlr trip in June which will help.

Part of doing this is to see how many cards it takes but also in case something gets locked, I don't want to have issues. I normally don't have as much as I will for abd.

The BJ's $15 off coupon worked for me now. I bought $850 in eDGC for $809.39 ans I used my SYW MasterCard to get an $80 statement credit. That's a little over 14% in savings over the face value. It helps when you've got DVC dues to pay.

On the negative side, my grocery store didn't have any DGCs today so I'm going to miss out on their 4X points for GC purchases this weekend since I don't have a need for other cards right now.

The digital online receipts are easy but for the physical cards you get in store?
I hate having paper clutter around plus I notice receipts can fade. I wonder if you take a picture of the receipt it will count? I will have to bring this up to ins agent.

Oh and our family got around 1800 from relatives from Christmas Birthdays etc. I guess those are a no
go for being covered? grr

I'm wrapping the card in the receipt and putting it in a container in our safe. There's plenty of room and really I shouldn't have any of my gc or sock drawered credit cards not in there so I got containers at target and will put them in the safe this afternoon.

I'm hoping we can go next year so I don't think receipts will be too bad for that amount of time. But I would expect pictures to be OK since they are for other proofs of ownership for ins.

I agree about receipts fading over time, definitely have seen this.

I don't think they want you to send them original receipts, they should take copies, possibly even digital copies. Worst case scenario you might have to print out the receipt photos and send to them.

I paid all of my DVC dues with gift cards.

Make sure you:

(1) Pay by Contract
(2) Apply Other Amount
(3) Enter in the value of your gift card
(4) Select Payment Method
(5) New Card
(6) Select "Disney Gift Card"
(7) Enter in Account Number and EAN
(8) Make sure there are no leading or following spaces
(9) Apply the card
(10) Submit Payment

Shhhh......Nobody's supposed to know this is the best credit card in existence and it's not even close. :). Not only do the offers stack and the points pile up quickly, the Citi travel portal is often far cheaper than Costco for rental cars and I've booked disney rooms with points. Last year I stacked offers and got a free Universal Ticket for about $500 in everyday spend.

Thanks. This morning when it did not work I was hoping it was a glitch and would work later. Was out all day and just tried again. It worked. :)

Are you set up for automatic monthly payments from your bank account? You have to take it off of autopay in order to use DGCs. And if you don’t pay it all off now, you have to put it back on autopay and leave it until you’re ready to pay it all off.

Uh-oh, looks like a bigger problem, possibly - see this thread on the DVC forum: Thread 'Issues paying dues with gift card.' https://www.disboards.com/threads/issues-paying-dues-with-gift-card.3961760/

Edited to correct typo.

haha - I've never looked at their travel portal. I didn't even know you could use it from the syw card. Definitely will have to check into that!
