New, better code anyone can use - good in CRO - also package codes - 4/27-7/3

mg2,

I was just using the words that the CM did "parking lot view". Maybe she did mean garden view.

They may not assign your room till check-in, but they do assign your room type, especially when using a code.

I'm assuming they only had garden - parking lot views avail using the code. Plus I didn't want to take a chance on getting stuck in Trin South. It sounds packed in May and faxing room requests might not work.

We stayed there once and had water view, so I'm not sure what the garden view would be.

I stuck with Movies - never stayed there, but it looked better than Sports. I just hope I can use AP discount at Movies. It seems to never be avail - just like this code wasn't.

We've had both types of rooms at the CBR and would chose garden view every time. Our waterview was of the last tip of the lake and you couldn't see the water unless you stood on a chair and could look over the high watergrass! We had two rooms which we paid waterview for and I saw more water coming out of a busted pipe near the sidewalk! I would never pay extra to get waterview at the CBR again. It just isn't worth it, IMO. The gardenviews have been beautiful! Even though we were facing the parking lot we couldn't see anything but foliage and pretty flowers. The view was 100% better then the waterview. If the CBR is what you want then I would go with gardenview and don't think you will be disappointed at all.

It is the greatest deal for me and to most of us! :) I am not an AP holder nor DC member...so this is da deal of the year for me!

As soon as I heard about it, I called. I got the rate that I wanted the resort I want to stay at (yaaay! good for me!). I am very quite sure that the chances can't be that slip at resort you want to stay at (BC), the code JUST came out. Try and call... Good luck!

BTW...like skiwee1 said...it is good for anyone who wants to use it. It is for general public. So this is not only intended Visa cardholder...It is meant for all of us here.

I called this afternoon seeking reservations in May at AKL with the new code (CZF) and the person answering the phone must have been the travel company cause she said that to use that code I'd have to speak with the CRO and she transferred me. I then got a CRO person who was great. He asked about the new Disney credit card - as if that is where I should have gotten the code - on the website for the credit card - and I said that I had applied for the card. He booked my ressie for $139 (w/o tax) standard room. Ironically we DID get our Disney credit card today (just my husband's - no spouse card with it yet).

Not 100% sure we can go in early May but thinking hard about it!

When I called last night a CM answered WDTC. I asked her for CRO and she said Oh I am that too. So she put on her CRO hat and helped me out!

Well there was one post that said it was originally for Disney Visa cardholders but because CRO was already allowing others to book it, they went ahead and opened it to the public.

From Vermin:
The CM who I originally dealt with that claimed the Visa must be used, just called me back again! This is now 4 hours later, after I talked to a different CM and was able to use the code.

Anyway, she calls back to tell me that the head honcho's had just gotten out of a meeting and decided to allow the code to be used by anyone Disney Visa or not. Well, DUHHH!!! It's only been happening all day!!!

She said that the honcho's decided that since so many of the CM's had already allowed the code to be incorrectly, that they were forced into cancelling the Disney Visa requirement.

This is what I am talking about. Sounds like CRO messed up.

 Where is this Disney Visa site I hear everyone talking about ? I go to the Disney website and I look everywhere but can't find it! HELP:D

I just called about 15 minutes ago, got a CM, told her of my current reservation for Woodsview using AXA and was wondering of CZF could be used to save me more money. YES, it can!!
Went from 1280.00 for 7 nights to 1202.00.

CM didn't say a word about the Disney visa.

Thanks Mary!

I called CRO and had the new code applied to our Beach Club reservation in May. Our savings are now $101 a night with both codes. The CM did ask if I got the code from Disney Visa. I just agreed.

Thanks crazy4wdw for the website. I have applied for the new Disney Visa but have not recieved it yet, as soon as it arrives I will join the site.;)

I tried again with CZF at Movies because my friends just booked using that code at Movies. No availability. Not only that, the CM wanted to charge me more at Sports because she saw I would have 3 adults in 1 of my 2 room ressie.

So I could switch hotels and play more if I wanted to. lol

Guess I'll wait for AP or pay $88 per night with tax.

I called today (Saturday the 15th, 2:00 ish) and lowered my bill on a woods-view room at Wilderness Lodge by about $80 -- hey, it might not be much, but I'll take it! No one said a word about the Disney credit card.

Whoo Hoo! Got the Animal Kingdom Lodge standard (9 nights) @ $139.00.
:teeth: Thanks Mary @ Mousesavers. You're the best!

I just saved an additional $10/night b4 taxes over the AXA code on AKL Concierge. yippee

more souvenir money

I booked last week using AXA, called yesterday and changed the code hassle-free using CZF. I saved $67 at POR for 6 nights in May!!!!

Thanks Mary!!! I always check you website as soon as I log on, it has paid off on several occassions!

I had a reservation for 14 nights at CB under the AXA code for May 31 through June 13. I called and they changed my reservation to the CZF code and saved me $144. I had already paid in full, so they are giving me a credit back on my card. Yeah!

okay I guess it's just me, but seeing how availability seems so slim, I really do think this WAS just intended for us new Disney Visa cardholders. It kinda burns me since this card doesn't offer the greatest deal up front but is supposed to give us access to other offers. Well in this case, that has been negated right from the beginning. I hope CRO can get its act together so that those for who the code was meant for can actually use it.

Congrats to all who are saving on their trips. It really doesn't matter to me since I am staying at the BC in June and it appears those rates are the same.

This code might have been marketed to the Disney visa market, but CRO did not set up any restrictions on using it, therefore it's fair game to all. I would suggest if you are upset by this you complain to Disney.

Just as with the code listed in the Spanish People magazine.

Again, :o

I don't care because I am both a Florida Resident and AP holder. But if the Disney Visa is supposed to be something special Disney is hurting it right from the start.

They told me no availibility left with that code for std. WL only woods view (more exspensive) so we booked the POFQ then Royal Pacific for beginning of May.

No YC or BC STD beginning of May with code left - only WV etc.

I called today and used the newest code and applied it the my AS Music and CBR stay. I was wondering if it will work on the Contemporary Resort? I wasn't told anything about having to use the dis visa either.
