New, better code anyone can use - good in CRO - also package codes - 4/27-7/3

I called twice trying to see if the pirce for the YC under the new code of ZXEF or CZE was better than ZXWB (package code), but there were no standard rooms available under either code for my dates, only water view. She even tried to see if "room only" was available under ZXEI or CZF, but no luck. They also priced it out for me as if it was available under the Dream Maker package code CZE and the savings was $30 over the ZXWB package for 2 standard YC rooms I already have booked. She also priced out the water view room at YC for 5 nights in May under the CZE code (Dream Maker package) came to $4,386 for two water view rooms. This was an increase of $649 for 2 water view rooms verse the 2 standard view rooms, 5 nights.

Anyone had any luck booking with package codes? 2 different CM's and both say they don't exist.

Ive found the CZF code to be better than older codes for the AKL. It was the same, however, when I checked a few other Deluxes like the Poly and YC/BC.

FYI if you previously booked with the AFK code w/0 a PIN your request was probably kicked out last night & the promo code removed. I called just now & found this out & put the CZF one.

I got my existing CBR reservation changed to use the CZF code and saved about $11 per night over the AXA code rate that I had previously. Now, instead of $115.96 per night (tax inc.) I will be paying $104.81.
Every little bit helps. Thanks, Mary!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I had also asked them about CZH and if there were any simliar for the gold plan.-Both CM's told me they didn't exist.

mom_rules

There are regular discount codes out for room only and dream maker and dream maker silver plans

There are DC codes out for all the above plus the Gold Plan

There is no regular code out for the gold plan

Are you a DC member?

Keep calling back until you get someone who knows what they are talking about.

What plan are you trying to book or are you trying to book room only?

Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU, Mary!! I just booked our honeymoon trip with the new code at the Polynesian, and I'm really excited now. You've made our day. :) :)

I just used CZF and saved $100 at the Polynesian. It was about the same savings if I would have booked using the ZXEI code but then I would have to book through WDTC . The person I talked to said that they will be doing away with Central Reservations Office very soon! She did not say why. She said many rather prefer to book through Walt Disney Travel Company anyway and that the ZXEI code has been out for awhile. She also said that you get more for your dollar with the ZXEI( something about miniature golf). She said most people like to book with WDTC because you get good deals on airfare and transportation to a from the airport.(I had thought that you do better with CRO and booking the rest yourself!) I remember last year I did much better through CRO since I booked my own airfare. WDTC wanted way too much for airfare. Also I don't like WDTC cancellation policy. I wonder if they do away with CRO , if WDTC will change their cancellation policy ? I hope I am making sense!:bounce:

Frankiemom,

I also think you do better through CRO. Anybody who does their research knows how to find the deals. I also don't like WDTC's cancellation policy.

I was also told by a CM that CRO and WDTC are merging by the end of the year.

As far as "more bang for your buck". A round of mini golf is hardly worth the extra cancellation policy hassles and I don't consider it anything special. Most people could easly just pay cash for it without a problem.

It sounds like you also like CRO. I hope things don't change too much. Can you imagine if all reservations booked at Disney had the 21 or 45 day pre-payment schedule? I think there would be a lot of unhappy people.

Thanks for the info.

vbfamily: I agree with you especially about the golf!!!!! Like you said when they do merge I hope all reservations don't have that 21 or 45 day pre-pay. Oh by the way I was also told that May hours should be out any day now. I am waiting for them like I am waiting for AP rates!!!! I do have to say--planning this vacation is part of the fun!!!!!!!!:)

For those who read my earlier posts about only being able to use the code with the new Disney Visa, the story just took another unexpected twist:rolleyes:

The CM who I originally dealt with that claimed the Visa must be used, just called me back again! This is now 4 hours later, after I talked to a different CM and was able to use the code.

Anyway, she calls back to tell me that the head honcho's had just gotten out of a meeting and decided to allow the code to be used by anyone Disney Visa or not. Well, DUHHH!!! It's only been happening all day!!!

She said that the honcho's decided that since so many of the CM's had already allowed the code to be incorrectly, that they were forced into cancelling the Disney Visa requirement.

Apparantly, she felt so bad for not allowing me to use the code that as soon as she heard, she called me to tell me the good news! When I told her that I had already called back and gotten the code applied, she sounded somewhat hurt (that I didn't trust her the 1st time, I guess??) but very relieved that I got what I wanted.

So many mixed feelings here. Are they really that screwed up at CRO? Very frustrating. On the other hand, I was truly amazed by the integrity and compassion exhibited by the CM - she really did care and did her best to apply the policy fair, then went to extra measures to ensure my satisfaction.:D

Vermin,

I'm totally impressed that she even called you back 4 hours later!

I called a few hours ago and they were able to apply the new CZF code to my ASMu reservation for 5/29-6-5. Saved about $80 or so dollars over the AXA or AXB code. Any little bit helps!

Thanks, Mary, for providing us with this great info!

I think maybe part of the reason that CRO appears to be "screwed up" is because the code is brand new, and is marketed toward Disney Visa card holders. The ad on the Disney Visa website was probably just posted today around when the code was released into CRO's system. So it was probably expected that most folks would be calling in to make the ressie with their Disney Visa anyway. Well, here are hundreds of "code freaks" (myself included) on this board constantly waiting on pins & needles for anything that has three capitalized letters in a row and then jumping all over CRO as soon as we get it. I think we should have a little patience with CRO since this just went into their system today and they got a bunch of non-Disney Visa cardholders suddenly trying to make ressies which could have caused some confusion.

When I called to use CZF the woman told me that I was her second person to use it and she asked me where I heard about it. She was not familiar with the code at all-I had to repeat it to her a few times. I agree with the fact that it was new so that may have caused some confusion.
