New AP Rates Are Out

Good thing I checked this thread! I didn't know AP rates were coming out today. We just booked AKL at $184/night. I was bummed they only had standard view left, but that was the best I could do. They didn't show anything available at WL, CR, Poly, BWI, or YC for our dates. The only other choices we had were SSR and CBR. Things booked up quickly!

What resort do you have, and what are your dates? Maybe we can help you figure it out.

If the DDP was discounted, that would be a whole different story.

FW Cabins

Usually rates are $299-$314 for that time frame. I am getting $203-$186.

That new quoted figure did not include insurance according to the CM - so any help you give me would be very much appreciated.

I'm on with a CM but she is making me very nervous.

My original reservation is room-only and I booked it online. She is making an entire new reservation and now has put me on hold to get guest services before she can tell me if there is a discount or not even. Is this normal?

OMG - it sounds like you are speaking with CM #1 (I talked to 3 today) she was getting me nervous also, she sounded kinda flakey.

Someone explain this one to me please? I just posted that it seemed like the prices are all over the board this morning depending on who you talk to. About 30 minutes ago I was quoted $630.54 for a standard room at AS Sports for seven nights May 3rd-10th. When I asked about dining the price for the same standard room at AS Sports went up to $941.97. So I was going to be charged $311.93 for the basic dining plan or $44.49/day? I asked the CM twice if maybe she had included trip insurance and she assured me she had not. I told her I would think about it and call back.

I just called and spoke to a very nice CM and again requested a price for a standard room at AS Sports and she quoted me $607.94 for the same seven nights May 3rd-10th. When I asked her about the DDP she quoted me a total of $873.87, so the DDP went down to $265.93 or $37.99/day.

With the second CM the room went down $22.60 and the DDP went down $45.50. What's up with the two different prices? Doesn't their computer just shoot out the price when the dates are entered? if so the prices should have been the same from both CMs.

I think it depends on the weekend rates. The CM told me it was $79 a night regardless of weekends. But now I look on Mousesavers and they are saying it should be $74 weekdays and $84 weekends. When I reprice my ressie at Pop I get the $22.50 difference on the room too calculating it both ways.

Looking at your time frame it looks like they are quoting you 2 nights at $84 and 5 nights at $74 plus 13% sales tax gives you $607.94

The other quote is 1 night at $84 and 6 nights at $79 plus 13% sales tax gives you $630.54

Was anyone able to get a campsite for an AP rate. It is listed on the AP website but when I called to apply the code to my existing ressie they said NOPE all GONE! That even if someone were to cancel their AP rate that the room/campsite would go back to the regular rate status. That once all the AP rates were used up then that was it!! Did any of you NOT get to use an AP rate on your ressie? Just curious?

Just adding to the list of rates.

We got FW Cabins for April 9-13 at $193 weekday and $208 weekend...this is about what I expected.

I also checked on the ALL Star Music for the same dates and they had the family suites for $195 weekdays and $225 weekends.

The CM I got was really good (which hasn't happened in a looong time). She didn't even mention adding on the dining plan but did ask if we needed any dining reservations.

Weird - FW Cabins

One week prior - I got quoted $203 (fri/sat) $186 (mon-thur)

Can someone help me out please:worship:
As of now were booked for april 30th till May 11th with the disney visa offer with ticket upgrade(not to happy since we don't plan on using the waterpark of DQ)at the all star sports our total with tax not including insurance is 2157.
I was looking at maybe getiing one AP to get the discount on room and add the dinning plan.Heres where the problem come in.My DH is not going to be there the entire time as me and the kids so I was going to book2 room ressies. One for me and my DD's with the dinning plan for 3 dayss and 1 for all of us for 9 nites without the dinning plan.I don't know what package to do.My DH doesn't care either way and doesn't want to do the dinning plan again. We have done if 3 yrs in a row.I'm so confused on what we should do.
Any advise?

I think the difference in our rates is because we have 3 adults and 1 child in our group...they charge for the extra adult.

We have 2 adults 5 kids (17,14,5,4,2)

But I thought the charge for an additional adult was more than $5-$8 a night. I still am trying to find out the details of the dining.

Man, they are really pushing the dining plan. The CM insisted that it was going to save me 40%.

I checked a few dates without dining and got the cabins for $188/weekday and $203/weekend. Music suites $195 and $215.

Has anyone checked to see if there is "more" availability with the dining plan?

I got POP for April 4 - 8 at 79.00 per night before tax. It was the same price for each night didn't matter weekend, or weeknight. I think something is off if everyone is getting something different. Doesn't seem very consistent. hmmm.

Has anyone asked if the DDP can be added later? I was told that if you take dining it's a package and have to pay 45 days in advance, which would be in 3 weeks. If I don't take it I pay the balance on check-in.
I don't think I'd be able to get the money together in 3 weeks so I was hoping to add the dining on later.

It must really depend on the CM, because I wasn't even offered the dining plan!

So the AP discounts on the FW Cabins aren't really discounts? I was happy that we got our dates today, but it sounds like that isn't as special a discount as others.

Thanks for this thread! I've been waiting for the new rates forever it seems!

I asked both the 1st CM (spoke to 4 today) I spoke with and Dreams Unlimited and both basically say it has to be added on 2-3 days before check-in.

I got ASMusic $74 weeknight/$84 weekend.

No the charge for an additional adult is only $5 extra - at least that is what it was at the Cabins in January (we had 2 extra adults so it was $10 more a night - I think it was $215 instead of $210)

I thought the discount for the cabins came out greater than some of the other deluxes. $111 off as opposed to $91 off at the CR and Poly. Am I missing something?

I just received my email confirmation and Pop actually ended up being $74 for weekday and $84 for weekend. Still works for me!

I just got Pop (after being told by the first CM I could only get Sports) for 4/16 to 4/23 and mine came up $22.50 higher than Mousesavers rates quoted, too. I must have the $79 a nite for 6 nites and one weekend nite for $84. Not much consistency, but I got what I wanted after being told I couldn't. Pays to call more than once.
