New AP Rates Are Out

No luck with CM#2, trying again! #2, Ted, said I could get lucky later since a lot of people upgrade their standard views so some of thsoe might open up.

I gave my CM the FJC code and she said "so you're not interested in dining" and when I said "nope" she gave up easily. She did ask but didn't try to push, guess it depends on the CM.

Third CM and I'm out? :( This lady wasn't very nice (first time for me) - she told me "you're kind of spinning your wheels calling so many times in one day." I told her "my friend" called three times this mornign and only got lucky on the thid try so I didn't mind trying again. I'm still hoping for a nice WL standard/woods view or CR room if I could get it cheaper than what I have.

I don't know if this was posted, I am only through page 2 but I was offered an add on for the dining package without having to buy a ticket with my AP room discount.

I am currently on hold and she is getting prices for me so I will let everyone know.

How did they know you called three times today?

Yippee!!! We're doing a split stay. Got the CR Tower MK view for April 26-30 at $374 and added the Deluxe dining. Got the Beach Club standard room April 30 to May 4 at $259 a night. Saved $553 over our AAA rate!

Talk about weird. I can get sports for 84/night for May 2nd - 4th, but that deep discount for Music isn't avail. She said Std room for Music is 94/night. Isn't that odd??

Then as she went to book it, it is giving her Music AP std room for $106 per night

I told her there is no way I have an AAA rate for cheaper than that.

Because when they put in your info it tracks it LOL!

(And we wonder why some CMs get frustrated with us LOL!)

Arrugh! Big time Bummer! Looks like there's NO Annual Pass Rate for the week that we are going March 16th thru March 23rd due to it being Spring Break and Easter.
We normally go the week before this ... but this year did have to move it out because my son is in his first year of college and we needed to wait for him.
*SIGH!*

At least we have AAA rate so a Garden at the Poly for this week will be $519lso ... does anyone know if you can add on a dining plan if you have AAA rate?

Yes the week before and week after Easter have been blacked out for the pass 3 years now. No surprise here. At least you got the AAA discount, with holiday rates you need to save whatever you can.

Not a good comparison. Rates coming out now are for regular season, you are waiting for value season. I had a value season AP rate for January and for Pop it was $49 Sun-Thur and $69 for Friday and Saturday. I would guess somewhere around there. I was also offered $99 a night at any moderate and the rate was the same throughout the week. So try not to compare your August trip to these rates.

Oh, I know the seasons are different.:) Value season earlier this year was $50 off Deluxes. I was wanting to see what was up with the DDP add-on, because we don't want it. By the time we pay $70 per person per day for DxDDP AND pay tips on top of it we would be looking at $235ish (or more, depending on the restaurants) per day. Might as well just bring $235 per day and keep whatever we don't spend! :rotfl2: DS12 doesn't eat $70 per day - he still orders off the kid's menu and doesn't even finish his meals.

Gotta love the rates.

I wasn't on hold for very long (less than 15 minutes) and was able to get the code applied very quickly.

FW Cabins - originally booked using the BounceBack offer in January - for a total of $1919. (8 nights) So savings are better than the bounceback for us.

Code applied this morning to bring our total down to $1742.

Savings - $177

Price $203 (Fri/Sat) $186 (Mon-Thur)

I was told the only discount you can add AP dining to was an AP discount.
With a AAA discount you can only add DDP if you book through a AAA travel agent, and then you will have to buy at least a one day park pass for everyone in your party.

Ok, someone is screwy. I am getting 94 a night for a std at Music May 2-4. (Weekend).

I called back because I thought I might save teh $20 and go with Sports. Well I was told that the regular rate for the rooms is 121 a night? Um isn't that preferred rooms on weekends? I was told no. I thought a std room at Value resort was 109 a night for weekends? What is this 121 crap.

Well I was told that Sports also had std rooms avail for 94 a night and not the 84.

I hate to call back a 3rd time but something doesn't seem right.

Somthing is wrong here. I looked too and for regular season the rates are $99 for weekdays and $109 for weekends. Folks who have gotten a value are posting that the rate is $79 a night (weekdays). ($111 and $121 are preferred rooms). This must be very frustrating.

I think there is something going on with this new weekday/weekend system. I know when I've just been on the AP website, it will sometimes pull a totally incorrect price up for the weekend dates (non-discounted), but then you can refresh or check again, and it has it correct.

It seemed the same thing happened with the CM I worked with this morning. She first quoted me $164/night for weekdays, and then $214/night for the weekends. I told her I didn't see why there was a difference in the rates, since the rack rate doesn't fluctuate on the weekends in regular season with the deluxes.

We then switched gears and checked an existing reservation, and then we went back to the AKL, because I decided those rates were a much better deal. Lo and behold, when she pulled my dates up a second time, all the nights were at the $164/night rate. Weird. Went from a total of $850.50 with the original discounts she quoted me for 4 nights to $738.

There also HAS to be some sort of discount on the dining portion of the package too.

I got a quote for adding the dining for our party of 7 (but one child wouldn't be on it due to his age (2)

4 Disney adults 38 = $152
2 Disney children 10 = $20
Total daily: $172 (without taxes)

Quote given $2901 for 8 nights including dining
Quote without dining $1742.

So only an additional $1159 for 8 days of dining? I just don't get where that adds up or is discounted. Would I get the kids for free - if so the discount is larger than that anyways. It seems as though the dining portion was discounted about 15% off of the rates.

Where am I going wrong?

Is this discount available online anywhere? I really need to be able to play around with the resorts to see what the best deal is. Dose anyone know when we can book online? If someone has been able to book online, will you tell me how you did it:confused3

It would be nice to know the dollar amount off for the rooms so we can do the math ourselves.

Seems as if there are a LOT of conflicting reports.

I can get a value during regular season during the weekdays for 74 a night she is telling me. That means the weekend rate is 20 higher when for rack rate it is only 10 more.
That is nuts.

My dates are 4/30 - 5/3 at the Poly. I called and she said the AP rate is not available at that time. Has anyone been able to get it at the Poly?
