My little pirate wench!

NJFabFour - hope you have the same luck we did! I had requested bunks in one of our 2 rooms, but connecting rooms was more of a priority since kids 13 & under were in one room and DH and I in the other. When I registered, I asked if we had bunks, and CM said no, but looked to see if we could switch rooms after a day or so. (which I would not bother with just to get bunks, but it was nice of her to check.) Then she showed me where our rooms were, and once I realized we had gotten an upgrade, I said no bunks was just fine!

In Roaring Forks, you have to ask the cashier for the hot chocolate- they keep the packets of mix by the register. They usually gave my kids 2 packets since the mugs hold 16 ounces.

I thought the coffee there was very good. Their individual pizzas were good too.

Have fun!! :)

Florida weather is a guessing game. I have fixed Christmas dinner out on the patio in shorts and in the house wearing a sweater. Nothing like what you have up there. Medium jacket during the day at most and a little more in the eveinings. It could be low 40's in the morning and be up the 60's by 10:00 AM. We are poor judges on what is cold as when we think it is cold our Northern friends are raving how nice it is, so go figure

Send me more info on the kids so I can watch for them during the Parade.

Where is AspiringCindy, have not "seen" much of her lately

...the omelettes! YUMMY!!! Lora, what a CUTIE!

FloridaCat: they just returned from Ohio (Cedar Point), so she'll probably post today....:D

Your picture from your room makes me so homesick. A better looking Pirate I have never seen, what a joy.

Corky, 10-4 on the rain. That is why we pray September goes by fast, out of the rainey season and past the Hurricane peaks. Chasing the lawnmower around the yard every four or so days gets old. Oh well, where is it perfect? At least we have a bunch of great people come down to share our "home". FL just released the Tourist numbers. 18 mil so far this year and up 1% over last year.

shelley_s

I don't know whose little one is more picky, mine our your :)

The extent of mines menu for lunch/dinner is PB&J, Grilled Cheese, American Cheese Slices (has to be Kraft). If any 3 of these things aren't perfect she will just not eat.

We willl probably be doint the cooler thing also :D

I'M BACK!
I posted tidbits on the Community Board called "Cleveland Rocks!" for anyone who is interested. I hear that AP rates are still not available for the fall. What gives?

Tardin-
Hmmm, your little one might take the Picky Eater Prize! DS has no problem carbo-loading with cheese crackers, Combos, chips etc, so we took those along to snack on, but most of his "staples" (string cheese, yogurt, fruit) are hard to carry along to the park. We tried to load him up whenever we were in the room. He will sometimes eat cheese pizza, but did not like the way any of it looked. He only likes 2 brands of yogurt or Gogurt. When he was 2, I never in my wildest nightmare though he would still be like this at age 7! (yesterday was his birthday!)

I try to be sympathetic, but sometimes we say, "Tough luck, just sit there while we eat if you don't like anything. We'll get you something later!"

I did see grilled cheese and PB &J on some of the kid's menus.

Good luck, and take lots of her favorites to your room!

Tig-girl – Great picture – I’m glad you finally figured it out

NJFabFour – Have a great trip – can’t wait to hear about it.

JBurke and shelly_s – I’m so glad to hear you guys had a wonderful time at the lodge – it sure is making me anxious to experience it

FloridaCat – Thanks for the tips on the weather and things to pack “just in case” – I would have never thought of the zip lock bags – great tip

Kimmar067 – I hope your trip works out – sending pixie dust

To all of you who have picky eaters – I have a picky eater only quite the opposite. DS (8 years old) will not eat any of the typical kids items. No hot dogs, grilled cheese, pizza, and nothing fried. He only wants rice, any type of vegetables, grilled chicken, and spaghetti. Try finding places that serve those. Of course, according to him, his diet could consist of chips, ice cream, and soda. We typically end up eating at Epcot every day. The Japanese Yakitori House has a skewer of chicken over rice and the Land has spaghetti. Haven’t found where I can just get vegetables.

Have a great Friday everyone :)

...thanks for the PD, but I still haven't decided whether we are going or not. I dunno, but Puerto Rico is MUCH warmer that time of year....:teeth: !

I was in Puerto Rico a few years ago in December for my 40th birthday. I enjoyed it and the weather was great... but I think the parade and Disney at Christmas/New Year's would be my vote even if it were cooler.

Read them and great job. Sure enjoyed your style, felt like I was walking along with you. How is ever thing in my home state. Lot of my nervous Cub Buddies keep e=mailing me. I say relax, in the bag this year. I am waiting for the Bear season to start. WOO HOO

Janice,

Thanks for the great trip reports, can't wait to read more. Still waiting for my first trip to the WL and all of these great reports make the waiting a bit more tolerable. Love that you got an upgrade! We love Breakfastausaurus, also.

Wow! Everybody has been busy since I was reading last night!
Just popping in to say hello. There is a whole lot to read, but I have noticed that everyone's countdown timers are getting smaller and smaller. NOT MINE! But I do know that it will be quick once we are past Christmas, it'll be right around the corner. I'm going to read what I missed now.........................................

While it would be nice to spend New Year's Eve at WDW, the prearranged itinerary has our group whoopin' it up at IOA for New Year's Eve! (not that THAT is such a bad thing either!)
