Hi,
My DD and new DSIL are joining us in WDW. They are stationed in Germany. They have iPhones. What is the most reasonable way for them to have service here? They will be in the US for a month.
I have T Mobile if that helps. They have TKS(?)

I just know my fellow DISers can help with a solution.

I used to have a T-Mobile SIM card that i would always put on a military hold. That way I always had a phone number when visiting the US and it was always the same number. I would just contact T-Mobile a day or two before I flew and have them take the line off of the hold and call them from the airport when I was flying back to place the hold back on. It was a month to month contract and I only paid for the time it was on. Not sure if they still have something like that but might be worth looking into.

That would be fabulous. All carriers should have something like that for active military personnel.

They need to check with their cell carrier.

Ds studied abroad for 5 weeks a few years ago. We got him an international service added to our current service for only $10.

It worked fine for him.

My DD mentioned bringing another older phone. I am thinking switching SIMs is easier.

If they do plan to switch sims, they need to make sure their phone is unlocked. I find it the easiest way to go, since i still have access to everything on the phone (apps, info, contact list, etc). I've done the two phone thing before and do not recommend it; a real pain since "stuff" is on one but not the other, etc.
