We are doing the 7 day land/sea package next week, and so far we have thunderstorms on two of the four days. Our original plan was to do Disney, MGM, Animal Kingdom and typhoon lagoon- skipping epcot because our kids are 3 and 18 months. Are there any of the parks that are more "rain friendly"?

Also- how do I found out about the e nights?

First... don't worry about the rain.... they pretty much say there is a chance of rain every day from May - September. Yes, there is a chance but if it does happen, it will probably only last a very short time. Hmmm... more rain friendly?? I would pack the ponchos and not worry to much about it. All of those parks have many, many shops that you can duck into for a few minutes until the rain passes.

A rain plan??? I think it is called "put on a poncho and go"!;)

Seriously, we slogged thru Epcot and Mk on a cold, pouring day and managed to have fun. We found a lunch PS at GG to be our saving grace for the day. A chance to be in, out of the rain, get a hot meal and see characters was so helpful. And the good thing about the rain was it kept attendence down so we could walk on to everythink in the MK!

Good luck!

Simple. Duck under awning, pull out poncho and put it on, then come out from under awning.

Also, don't skip Epcot. Small children love the place, and everything in FW except TT is indoors.

Actually when we go we enjoy spending time at the waterparks and pools. If the day is going to be rainy, we'll go into the parks!!!

I agree with other posters, take your poncho and go ... only the outdoor rides will shut down in a monsoon -- you'll have a great selection of indoor attractions during the rain.

[Having said that -- EPCOT is my #1 rainy day park and the Studios my #2 choice]

Just a tip - they do close down the waterparks at the sight of lightning and will not allow anyone into the water until 15 minutes later. If you see thunderstorms when you are on your way there, I would advise doing something different since it is not very fun to sit in the waterparks looking at the water that you know you can't go into.

MGM is a pretty rain-friendly park since almost all of the rides and shows are inside. One ride to avoid in the rain is the backlot tour, especially if you end up getting the end of the last car. Even with a poncho you can't stay dry!

Well, we don't have kids, so it makes it pretty simple. We go, we have ponchos, we wear ponchos when needed, and finally we carry extra socks and shirts. We were there in September, 2002, and there was a hurricane in the Gulf that made for rainy days every day, except the last. We made it through just fine. A bit soggy at times, but at least we were prepared to deal with it. It's all the the attitude. Mickey

Wear sandals or Tevas on the rain days and keep your sneakers for the sunny days. Bring at least two pairs of shoes.
