I am officially obsessed with my ADR's. Here's what I want and what I am thinking....

1st off I want to make HDD ressies for our 1st night, I am on the DDP but I want Category 1 seating. So should I make those first without my confirmation number and pay for that separately - or can I save some time, still get that AND all my other ADRs in the same cart? I don't want to waste time as I understand seconds can count and I've got some lofty plans for my ADRS (Fantasmic, LeCellier...)

what do you think??

You can only get catagory 1 seating with the DDP for the 9:30 seating. For us, it wasn't that hard to get. We did call on the 180 day, but around 5 pm, and still got catagory 1. Maybe most people don't want the kids out that late?:confused3

Here's what I learned - I made ADRs this am for our May 1st trip. I put in my confirmation number and picked HDD along w/ my other ressies (10 total). You will have the option to pick any category seating you want and it states that if you pick cat 1 then it will not be part of the DP. At the end of putting everything in your cart, you will be asked once for a cc # to confirm your ADRs (needed for HDD, CRT CG, etc.).

So, to answer your question - put in your confirmation number and put everything in your cart (max 10). Also, don't worry about waking up at midnight like I did - the system changes exactly at 6 am. I was up and waiting.

I hope this helps. Good luck!!

That helps tons. So i can still get Category one for the 715 time at HDD? And put that in the cart along with the DDP ADRs but just give my cc, right?

Are you sure you want to pay out of pocket for HDDR?

We booked the 5pm show and had Tier 2, but I'm positive we got bumped to Tier 1 seating. We were in the centre stage back one or two tables. Really great seats.

I dunno. I did that for Spirit of Aloha and we got the BEST seats. I'm the kind that pays the extra since it's vacation to get the primo seating (like 1st row at La Nouba!)

I wish we could get a great Cat 2 but dont wanna risk it:confused3

It's totally up to you if you want to pay for it. I just know we got great seats with the DDP. We had to be upgraded to Tier 1, the table was in a great spot.

The show is great. How was Spirit of Aloha? I was thinking of doing that next year as my 2 credit meal. I do one 2 credit each year.

Yes, that's right.

And a comment on the debate between cat 1 and cat 2 seating - I did research and many people mentioned liking the cat 2 seating. In fact, I read no complaints about cat 2 seating.

Hope that's helpful. Good luck!

DS12 and I absolutely LOVED Spirit of Aloha. We were going to do it again next time but decided to do HDD instead.

The food was great; salad with mandarin oranges and a light, tangy vinaigrette dressing. And there is plenty of food. Ribs, chicken, polynesian rice...and the chocolate mousse dessert came out looking like a little volcano. Major YUM-O. Excellent service. we were in the very front and I don;t know if that's why it was excellent:)

The show was great. You will read a lot about the "corny" plot but it's entertaining, and the cast is excellent, I was in awe of the dancers. Especially the fire dancer!! Amazing. There is a spot in the show where they call up the smaller children and let them dance, then they call couples celebrating for a slow dance. There's something for everyone. I highly recommend it and we'll be doing it again on the next-next trip!
