I am looking for a nice off-site resort/hotel for the night before we move into BCV for the week this August. I may be dreaming but can I get a nice resort with queen beds that sleep 5 for $150-$200. (Quee beds will be the deal breaker.) I am hoping for a nice pool and some food options and close to WDW. Our flight gets in around 1 PM so it will be a down day to relax and enjoy the Florida sunshine (hopefully). I know just about everything on the WDW resorts but nothing for off-site. We have Marriott rewards so that may also be an option. Any thoughts are really appreciated! TIA!

We have stayed at the Doubletree (may have changed names) right outside of DTD. Very clean and very convenient. It is immediately left of DTD if you are heading towards Uno's or Chili's.:) I'm not sure of the ages of your travel party but if any are kids they have kid suites that have a full size bed and a bunk bed in a room within the main room. http://www.orlandovistahotel.com/accommodations.html

We never used the pool but if you are only going to be there one night is a nice pool a must-have?

Good luck finding what you want/need.

I would look int o the hotels at DTD Try www.downtownhotels.com. I thought the Best Western had queens it does not say on their web site but just call & ask.

The Reisdence Inn LBV has queen beds.

herc.

Try Sheraton Vistana Resort. The two bedroom has 1 King bedroom, the other bedroom has two doubles. The pool areas are very nice. The AllEarsNet.com website has more information.

If might also consider the Rosen Shingle Creek resort. I just read a post from someone who recently stayed and said it was lovely and they have 2 queen beds.

Good Luck!

We just got back from the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort and it is a beautiful resort. Queen beds and they brought in a rollaway (regular mattress not cot). I do think it is $25 a night for that, but the rooms are available for all different rates right now (new resort) depending on who you book from. I think online direct with hotel, AAA was $127. Luxury resort so extras are for a fee, like parking was $8 a day. Three pools, kids pool and hot tub. Beautiful resort ! Food prices are in line with luxury or Disney resorts. But if you have a car you are minutes to everything.

Going to post photos later on another thread http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1424489.

I just booked the Sheraton Safari for 1 nt. prior to our timeshare week. For Nov. 3 it was only $78 including all taxes thru www.alpharooms.com. (recommended by a Diser from UK) I found out later that I could have called Sheraton and got another 10% off thru their Best Price Guarantee.
It's very close to DTD and has a big slide in the pool too. Never stayed there but we're looking forward to it.
