National Lampoon's Fun w/Dis Friends 2010!! ~ DAY 7-Final :( 6/27

It's "bunco" night. Everyone brings their own bottle of wine. In the end it ends up being more like "drunco" night. :lmao: Hopefully, I win the money!! Stay tuned! popcorn::

My point was that yes, i'm sure there will be no shortage of pictures. There usually is. I'm still not sure why. :confused3 Everyone incriminates themselves. It's odd, really. :3dglasses

It was FREEEEZING!!!.......at least by southern standards.

It was freezing by northern standards too! Course we were looking for warm weather coming from cold weather! Didn't get that but it was better than the 13 inches of snow my area got while we were gone!

True for you! I didn't see any but then again we were only there for like 5 minutes before we all bombarded Rosie's room! :rotfl: It was just TOO COLD to sit out there that night. YIKES!!!

Yes my room was the closest and we needed close due to the icicles appearing on us !!!:rotfl2:

I bet it WAS better than being in the snow!!:scared1:

thanks for opening up your room to us!

Yes, thank you Rosie!!! That was a fun evening even though it was a little short. We had to get DS to bed!

I'd say what's mine is yours but you might return it and I don't want your "POOFS":rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

:rotfl2:

Bunco was a success? Did you bring home any money?
I brought home a successful hangover. Does that count?? :confused3 I"m thinking NO!! :rotfl2: Seriously, it wasn't that bad. I had a good time but in the end I was part of a 3 way tie for the most "wins". That means we had to do a roll off. On my roll I got a 1. Needless to say I didn't win the pot.

Morning Blue !!!

Morning Rosie!

In my last update we were making our way around WS. We left the drunks in Germany and apparently I did not take another picture until Mexico!!! I know we stopped at the African outpost and watched the guy carve the wood animals. DS thought that was so cool. DH and I thought it was so cool that he is getting to that age where he would like to stop and watch things like that sometimes. :)

We headed on to China where DS did his last mission for this trip. We decided to stop the missions here since he had already done the one in Norway and Mexico last trip. The one in China was really cool. He liked the end. That's all I will say as to not spoil it for those who haven't done it yet.

We went to Norway next and talked DS into riding Maelstrom. He has never wanted to ride in the past because he was affraid of the trolls. I talked to him a bit about the ride and whatever questions he asked, I answered honestly. This seems to work for him. If I try to "sugar coat" it and then he gets on and see's that I "semi-lied" to him, that doesn't work so well with getting him to do it again. What can I say......we as parents are learning every day. :thumbsup2 So we ride and the boat stops by the polar bears while going backwards. He didn't really get the full effect of the "fun" of the ride. So, basically this time around he saw that it really wasn't as scary as he thought it would be.....and that's pretty much it. There was something wrong with the ride so the part where you go back a little fast, didn't really happen. But I will say this...... He rode it again later on in our trip! That time it worked properly and he thought it was fun.

On to Mexico!!! DS LOVES the 3 Caballeros. We hit the restroom really quick then headed over to the little boat ride. I must say that I really like this ride too. It's just so cute and they put some nice details into it. We got front row in the boat so I tried to snap some pictures, but you know how that goes with no flash!! Here are some of the better ones....

ADIOS AMIGOS!!!

After this we made our way out of Epcot. We had originally booked dinner at the Hibachi in Japan but it was for 5:45 and I think the Superbowl kickoff was at 6 or 6:30. We cancelled that ADR and made one for Olivia's at 5pm at OKW. We had decided we would watch the game from our room.....even if we were to get a little loud. Then we would meet up with Jordan, Rosie, Winkers, & DJay at MK for EMH!! It was staying open until 1am that night.

As we made our way out of Epcot, I snapped these few pictures. (if i already posted these, sorry!! They are a little out of order)

On our way through the parking lot to find our car we saw this.....

If you knew my sister, you would get a chuckle out of it too. Here's a tip...Just call ME Glenda! :thumbsup2

I also love the saying on the other one. It has always made me laugh.

We had a nice meal at Olivia's, everyone is always very nice but I have to admit that the food is just "so-so". We've never had breakfast there. Maybe we should try that instead. As for DS, we ran into problems AGAIN. The chef came out and he was super nice. DS wanted the cheese pizza but the Chef said no because of the crust (bread!). I was going to choose something else for him but the Chef said that he could use a different kind of crust that they have. I can't remember what it was called but it was NOT GOOD. DS didn't eat it at all. I tried it and DH tried it and I will tell you it was bland and had a weird orange-ish color to it. It made the entire pizza taste....ODD. It's hard to describe. He said he would make him something else, but by this time it was about 10 minutes to 6. We just let him have desert and headed up to the room where we had some food that I knew he would eat. Since we usually stay in a villa, we have a full kitchen so I usually place us a Garden Grocer order pre-trip. We have cold drinks & snacks, cereal, etc in the room at all times and it is nice!! Luckily this time I had some mac & cheese!!

After DS ate and played for a little while he decided he would like to take that "nap" we talked about earlier. :thumbsup2 We told him that we would watch the game but that MK was staying open really late. So if he wanted to take a nap during the superbowl, we would wake him afterwards and go do the EMH at MK. He liked that idea so off he went to sleep in our bed! DH and I watched the Superbowl from the living room.

Let me tell you a secret of mine about being a Saints fan all my life. At some point of my adult life, I realized I needed some sort of "outlet" for the stress of watching this team play. That's when I re-discovered Twizzlers. When I watch the Saints I usually have the regular "football snacks" around....chips, dips, etc. but I also have to have a HUGE bag of Twizzlers to knaw on during the stressful times. Otherwise I find myself grinding my teeth and end up with a huge headache. :rolleyes1 Anyhoo....so DH cracked open a beer, and I opened that bottle of wine that I purchased in France earlier. Yes, i know..... "beer, wine, & twizzlers" what a winning combination.

For this game......WE NEEDED THAT 1 POUND BAG OF TWIZZLERS!!! By the time the game was over, the bag was about 4 twizzlers shy of empty. There were so many ups and downs with emotions during the entire game. It was so nerve wracking but so surreal all at the same time. Our beloved Saints are in the Superbowl!! I really don't have pictures from this time. I had my laptop set up on the dining table where I could see the game, and type to friends on Facebook back home. I think I did an update on my PTR during that time that said.....

"Someone tell me what is better than watching your favorite team in the Superbowl while also watching the fireworks from EPCOT off your balcony????

THIS NIGHT ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!! "

I also exchanged a few texts with Jordan who was watching with Winkers & DJay in Derek & Wendy's room at BLT. He was super happy for us too! They all told us Congrats when we saw them later.

All in all....DH and I had a blast. We did get loud quite a few times. We jumped up and high fived and I'm not sure but I think one time we may have belly bumped in the air. I know there was the last touch down when we jumped up and started screaming and he picked me up and threw me in the air. :rotfl2:

All of this and a few tears, and no we did not get kicked out of our hotel. I did like watching while at Disney but at the same time you do miss the folks back home. Thanks to whoever invented Facebook. It was refreshing so fast it almost looked like a chat room. There were reports from all over that there were fireworks going off in the streets....even inside the city limits which is a huge "no-no". I do believe that someone even wrote that they saw POLICE doing it too. :lmao: So much for the "rules"!!! So, part of me would have liked to be a part of that. But the other part of me realized with ONE question and ONE answer on that TV, that it was SUPER COOL that we were at WDW at that moment in time........

"Drew Brees, you and the New Orleans Saints are celebrating your first superbowl victory! What are you going to do next???"

"I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!"

And so he DID!!!

Up next, EMH at MK and an early Monday morning on a freezing cold bench for 2 hours to catch a VERY SPECIAL parade!!!

Here are a few pictures from the Super bowl & celebrations....

my DH had found out Drew Brees was going to be at MK and he asked my Brother if he wanted to go since my brother is a Purdue Alum but we ultimaly decided it was going to be too crowded with the two small kids. We went to AK instead!

Finally all caught up and joining in!

I think it's wonderful how happy everyone was after the Saints one. It's just such an inspiration! After all that New Orleans has been through, that victory just feels SOO GOOOD for EVERYONE watching, whether they were a fan or not.

I absolutely loved when Drew Brees held his baby at the end! So glad your Saints won (I hate Peyton Manning!) What a great night you all had.

Nice update. i would've loved to see a picture of you belly bumping.

As much as I love Peyton Manning, I really do love Drew Brees even more. So I was happy that they won. He showed such grace and humility in winning--great statement of character.

It was fun to watch!!!!!!

Sorry for the continued issues with eating. :sad2:

Great update

Glad you got DS on Maelstrom.

Trent loves the Caballero ride as do I. FOr some reason though, he did not want to go on it more than once this trip :confused3

Sounds like you had a blast watching game :thumbsup2

Great update!

I was so happy the Saints won, but I can't imagine what it was like for a lifetime fan!! You must have been over the moon!! Twizzlers - I'll have to remember that - great idea for when you are watching a nail-biter game!:thumbsup2

Where are the "hats and heels" pics?

so glad it was all kinds of fantastic that night for you!!!!
