National Lampoon's Fun w/Dis Friends 2010!! ~ DAY 7-Final :( 6/27

we NEED to see a picture of you recreating the belly bump!!!!

my DH had found out Drew Brees was going to be at MK and he asked my Brother if he wanted to go since my brother is a Purdue Alum but we ultimaly decided it was going to be too crowded with the two small kids. We went to AK instead!

The crowd really was only for the parade. That's why we got there early.....but you know how that goes. Grab a spot 2 hours early then have someone try to take it away 2 minutes before the parade. Yeah, it was not nice. I'll explain that one later.

Finally all caught up and joining in!

I think it's wonderful how happy everyone was after the Saints one. It's just such an inspiration! After all that New Orleans has been through, that victory just feels SOO GOOOD for EVERYONE watching, whether they were a fan or not.

It really was a great night. But also a great season! We were all high on life for pretty much the entire season this year. :goodvibes

I absolutely loved when Drew Brees held his baby at the end! So glad your Saints won (I hate Peyton Manning!) What a great night you all had.

I thought that was so precious too!
Actually, the Mannings are from New Orleans! There is no ill will toward Peyton here, we just wanted to beat him. :thumbsup2
It was a super night!

Nice update. i would've loved to see a picture of you belly bumping.

As much as I love Peyton Manning, I really do love Drew Brees even more. So I was happy that they won. He showed such grace and humility in winning--great statement of character.

It was fun to watch!!!!!!

Sorry for the continued issues with eating. :sad2:

It was a great night and a great game. I agree about Drew Brees. I really like him.

Great update

Glad you got DS on Maelstrom.

Trent loves the Caballero ride as do I. FOr some reason though, he did not want to go on it more than once this trip :confused3

Sounds like you had a blast watching game :thumbsup2

Thanks!
DS did that with some other rides this year too. :confused3

Great update!

I was so happy the Saints won, but I can't imagine what it was like for a lifetime fan!! You must have been over the moon!! Twizzlers - I'll have to remember that - great idea for when you are watching a nail-biter game!:thumbsup2

Where are the "hats and heels" pics?

We WERE over the moon!! It was awesome.
Twizzlers really work! ;)

:rotfl2: You know, we didn't take any pictures until the end of the night. Most all the hats were off by that point and the picture only shows one girls shoes! :confused3 Usually there are many pictures. Not sure what happened this time. I have zero pictures of my hat or my heels! :sad2:

so glad it was all kinds of fantastic that night for you!!!!
Thanks! It was great.

we NEED to see a picture of you recreating the belly bump!!!!

:rotfl2: If that were an easy task, we'd have one of the original.

Great update! We were rooting for the Saints and were happy it was a good game. I can't believe your son slept through it, but I guess he's got his priorities straight -- prep. for EMH's!

Great update! Glad you were able to enjoy the Superbowl and take in a little Epcot magic at the same time.

Great update. Those are 2 rides on our list for this trip. Yay for the Saints!

Jordan said everything I wanted to say :rotfl:. I was happy the Saints won. It was a great game. I melted when Drew was holding his baby afterwards too cute!!

Great installment, I love how you use Twizzlers as a stress reliever :thumbsup2.

I use the DIS as a stress reliever.

I can't believe he slept through it either! I'm pretty sure we must have woken him up a couple/few times. When we went into the bedroom to wake him up, we whispered "Baby, the Saints won the superbowl". He jumped straight up and started jumping on the bed! :rotfl2: So I know he wasn't sleeping the entire time. But he tried and I think that's so cute! He was refreshed and ready for EMH. :thumbsup2

Great update! Glad you were able to enjoy the Superbowl and take in a little Epcot magic at the same time.

Thanks! It was pretty cool.

Thanks! Those 2 rides are really neat in my book. I think sometimes they get overlooked.

I was so happy that the Saints won but I did think of you and Sooze!! But the Colts are a good team and I'm sure they will be back next year. :thumbsup2

Twizzlers ROCK!!! :)

I use the DIS as a stress reliever.

Ah yes, but do you Twizzle while you DIS?? Sometimes I need both. Good thing I'm a great multi-tasker. :thumbsup2

Joining in on your trip report. My oldest son is also allergic to peanuts and peas! We are going to disney in August and I am making a mental note of what your son was not able to eat, which I guess is a lot of bread! We went 2 years ago, but only at a couple of table service dinners. This time we are on the meal plan so I will have to deal with the "big binder" at the cs restaurants. Looking forward to the rest of your report!!:)

I eat and DIS.:thumbsup2

Hi there and welcome!!!
Well, Disney tries to make it as painless as possible but that is not always the case. I will go ahead and tell you something now that comes up later in my report...... watch out for the pasta too!! We thought the kids dinner "pasta marinara w/ grilled chicken" would be okay. It even got the chef's approval. It WAS clear of peanuts but it was NOT CLEAR of pea's! There was actually chick pea flower used in making the elbow macaroni that they used. He did have a reaction but luckily he only ate about 3 bites and I caught it early, gave him benadryl, watched him closely, and had myself a heart attack. It just goes to show that you can never be too careful. Even a chef can miss some things. Most of them were fantastic but it only takes one time. I am very nervous about going back and eating in restaurants. Our next trip we have cancelled the dining plan and I will be cooking dinners in the villa....or cooking at home and freezing them and bringing them along.

Oh Cherie !!This such a stresser for you with the food !! I think cooking yourself will be much better !!

Hi Cherie, I love twizzlers during a suspenseful movie!
So sorry again for the food troubles-it seems like such a simple thing, but it is quite an ordeal to get the right info that you needed. Cooking in might be your safest bet. Why was all the bread and dough risky? I might have missed that if you already mentioned it.
Exciting night with the Superbowl win-it seems funny talking about it now that it is so warm and trees are blooming!

I was behind but now I am all caught up. So happy to hear the Superbowl story from someone who is a true Saints fan. I lived in San Diego when the Chargers went to the Superbowl and there is nothing like watching your team make it to that moment. Unfortunately, my team lost. :sad2: Happy for your Saints & happy for Drew Brees (who USED to be a Charger). I love the picture of him holding his child too. So sweet.

Loved how the Saints won, it was an amazing game! :cool1: Cherie~ ain't nothing wrong with wine and Twizzlers AKA Breakfast of Champions ;) Totally love Wicked!

. I did like watching while at Disney but at the same time you do miss the folks back home. Thanks to whoever invented Facebook. It was refreshing so fast it almost looked like a chat room. There were reports from all over that there were fireworks going off in the streets....even inside the city limits which is a huge "no-no". I do believe that someone even wrote that they saw POLICE doing it too. :lmao: So much for the "rules"!!! So, part of me would have liked to be a part of that. But the other part of me realized with ONE question and ONE answer on that TV, that it was SUPER COOL that we were at WDW at that moment in time........

"Drew Brees, you and the New Orleans Saints are celebrating your first superbowl victory! What are you going to do next???"

"I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!"

And so he DID!!!

Louisiana was ALIVE Superbowl night. The fireworks, blow horns, screaming were amazing. It's so awesome what this past football season has done to Louisiana. Even with 4 brothers I never cared much for football. But, I watched the last few Saints games, and I will be excited as everyone for the first game this next season!

Being a Disneyworld fan, it's very cool that you got to see Drew Brees, AT Disneyworld, day after the Superbowl!

Thanks for helping me relive that wonderful night!:cloud9: It was the Superbowl to end all superbowls for Saints fans. We started the night on Bourbon Street but ended it at home celebrating the win with family and listening to all the fireworks going off.

Again I'm so sorry you had such a hard time with the food. It will get easier I'm sure in the future. Wouldn't it be great if he could outgrow his allergy? I know some people do as well as some people growing into allergies.

Wonderful Epcot pictures!

Hey Cherie!!!

I just couldn't wait to read your update about the superbowl...I knew it was gonna be awesome! :goodvibes

LOL! I have to have that bumper sticker......I love Wicked and I love to call my sister a witch! :lmao:
