National Lampoon's Fun w/Dis Friends 2010!! ~ DAY 7-Final :( 6/27

Oh Cherie !!This such a stresser for you with the food !! I think cooking yourself will be much better !!

I think it will be much better if I just cook too!

Hi Cherie, I love twizzlers during a suspenseful movie!
So sorry again for the food troubles-it seems like such a simple thing, but it is quite an ordeal to get the right info that you needed. Cooking in might be your safest bet. Why was all the bread and dough risky? I might have missed that if you already mentioned it.
Exciting night with the Superbowl win-it seems funny talking about it now that it is so warm and trees are blooming!

Twizzlers rock!
The whole bread thing is because they use a lot of different grains and nuts, etc in the breads there. But also because many kitchens do not have a designated baking area where there are no nuts. So the dough could come in contact with peanut remains or residue. They say it's just better not to risk it. Which is nice that they are that much on top of it all. This is also the reason why he can not have MOST of the deserts that are made at WDW. He could only have yogurt, or fresh fruit, or pre-packaged items like jello, etc.

I was behind but now I am all caught up. So happy to hear the Superbowl story from someone who is a true Saints fan. I lived in San Diego when the Chargers went to the Superbowl and there is nothing like watching your team make it to that moment. Unfortunately, my team lost. :sad2: Happy for your Saints & happy for Drew Brees (who USED to be a Charger). I love the picture of him holding his child too. So sweet.

Saints in the Superbowl was the best moment!!! :goodvibes
Drew Brees seems like such a great guy. A true positive force. We really like him.

Loved how the Saints won, it was an amazing game! :cool1: Cherie~ ain't nothing wrong with wine and Twizzlers AKA Breakfast of Champions ;) Totally love Wicked!

The game was AWESOME!!!
:rotfl2: Breakfast of Champions..... I like it!

Louisiana was ALIVE Superbowl night. The fireworks, blow horns, screaming were amazing. It's so awesome what this past football season has done to Louisiana. Even with 4 brothers I never cared much for football. But, I watched the last few Saints games, and I will be excited as everyone for the first game this next season!

Being a Disneyworld fan, it's very cool that you got to see Drew Brees, AT Disneyworld, day after the Superbowl!

I have watched the Saints for most of my life. First with my dad as far back as I can remember, and then with my hubby. I can't imagine what it was like here during and after the superbowl. It would have been nice to see. But WDW was good too. ;)

Thanks for helping me relive that wonderful night!:cloud9: It was the Superbowl to end all superbowls for Saints fans. We started the night on Bourbon Street but ended it at home celebrating the win with family and listening to all the fireworks going off.

Again I'm so sorry you had such a hard time with the food. It will get easier I'm sure in the future. Wouldn't it be great if he could outgrow his allergy? I know some people do as well as some people growing into allergies.

Wonderful Epcot pictures!

Wasn't it the best night ever??!!!!

I am hoping and wishing that he will outgrow it. The allergist said no. But I'll be honest....I don't really like her anyway. :rotfl2: It's not that I think she is wrong. I mean it's obvious he is allergic because he has reactions to it. But, she was just soooo cut & dry. She had the attitude like there was "no hope". I hate people like that. Just give me SOMETHING to hold on to, ya know?? Even if it's the tiniest thing and even if it never happens. Just say SOMETHING positive. Seriously, my head was spinning that day. She's throwing epi-pens at me and saying all this stuff. Not trying to be a baby, but I just don't like her. :confused3

Hey Cherie!!!

I just couldn't wait to read your update about the superbowl...I knew it was gonna be awesome! :goodvibes

LOL! I have to have that bumper sticker......I love Wicked and I love to call my sister a witch! :lmao:

Superbowl WAS awesome!!! :)

:rotfl2: Same here!!

Heather~ I love Wicked and my sisters love to call ME a witch! :lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Same here!!!!

Morning Blue !!!!

Morning Rosie!!

In my last update, we were heading out of our hotel to go to MK for EMH. I had been texting Jordan during the game, and I knew they (jordan, winkers, djay, and rosie) were on their way to MK from BLT. When we arrived on Main Street. I got a call from Rosie! They would meet us by Casey's. Off we went!! When we met up with them we got a lot of "CONGRAT'S" from all of them. We were still on a major "high" from the game. It felt AWESOME to go from that to the MK. At one point I looked over and saw something very strange!! It was super cold AGAIN that night but nothing a jacket couldn't take care of. This is what I saw strolling down Main Street at around 11pm....

Yes, 2 women in their Snuggies!! You never know what you will see at Disney.

Pic of castle at night...

The group had decided that they would let DS pick what we would ride. DH and I thought that was super sweet of them! 1st up.....what else....Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin!! Off we go....

Everyone doubled up and DS rode with DH so that left me being a loner. That happened a lot on this trip. When we first started going to WDW DS loved to ride with me. Now that he's getting older, I'm chopped liver when it comes to rides, I guess. He now chooses to ride with daddy. It's a boys thing I suppose.

After Buzz, it was time for the "blue ride"...AKA...the Tomorrowland Transportation Authority....or I like to call it.... The People Mover. What can I say, old habits die hard.

After this, DS wanted to ride the Indy cars. Jordan and Winkers were talking about doing Space Mountain. DH said he'd go with DS to do the Indy cars and for me to do SM w/jordan and winkers. DJay stayed with Rosie since apparently she is deathly affraid of roller coasters. I did not know that until that very moment! She had a bad experience on the BARN STORMER!!! :rotfl2:

All of the rides this night were walk on. I think we waited maybe 5 minutes to get on SM. During that time Jordan, Winkers and I had a conversation about a rumor that I've heard for years about someone's head getting chopped off on that ride. Jordan said it was TRUE!!! Winkers and I looked at each other like this :scared1: When it came time to get on the ride, we let Jordan sit in the front. :rotfl2: Yes, we are sad. The ride has been refurbished but it is still the rocket type cars where you sit front to back rather than side by side. I thought they were changing that but it's cool that they didn't. We ended up in the first car of the train. So it was Jordan, then Winkers, then me. Winkers and I were trying to scruntch ourselves as short as we could so that our heads were not sticking out in any manner. Everytime Jordan screamed, we screamed even louder!! It was a fun ride and we had a really good time laughing at ourselves afterwards for being slightly cowardly!! On the way out of the ride, there are cameras and screens so you can see yourself pass yourself by. Very strange but highly entertaining for 3 goofballs such as ourselves.

4548527467_d79415cf2f_b.jpg

I don't know what he was doing but at some point Jordan decided to face the camera's and stand straight up with this one expression. As he rode past himself, all of the monitors started to fill up with just him. I guess you had to be there but it was hilarious. The people around us thought we were a little weird but who cares! We're in Disney World!!!
4549159932_52e7d0e249_b.jpg

:rotfl2: It almost looks like a mug shot.

After all of this we started heading back toward the hub because we were all going to ride Pirates of the Caribbean.

I spotted a photopass person with nothing to do!!
4548554739_8c39bf3ca1.jpg

OMG, look at DH!! Jordan has converted him too!!

4548553543_8047344572.jpg

About to get on Pirates! DS was excited but nervous as usual. He really does love this ride.
4549161682_780c13b621.jpg

After pirates it was about 12:30am. EMH lasted until 1am. The gang was going to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad but DS has not mastered that one yet. It was okay though because he was asking to ride Peter Pan. We thought it'd be a good idea to run over there really quick to see if we could get on before 1. The past few trips we have not been able to ride it due to extremely long wait times....even with fast pass. We made it over there at about 12:37am. It was walk on, of course! Love those EMH in the winter!!
After we got off of PP, we still had a few more minutes and so we decided to hit Dumbo since that usually has a long line during the day too. We walked right on Dumbo!! Actually if we had been there about 1 minute earlier, DS would have gotten to ride with a character! Donald was riding with a little girl and goofy was on with a boy. I think chip and dale came out right after we took off and was signing autographs by the carousel. We have been to EMH at MK many times before and I can tell you that we NEVER saw any of that at that time of the night. It was pretty cool.
DH and DS to the right, and Donald to the left...

4549162692_06a2b64052.jpg

After Dumbo there was 10 minutes until closing so we jumped on Winnie the Pooh and made that our last ride of the night. So if you look back, you will see that we were able to walk on MANY rides in just 2 hours. And THAT is why I love going in February! Although, I don't think that will happen anymore...unless it's for mardi gras holiday. DS is starting 1st grade next year. They start frowning upon pulling them out of school after kindergarten.

The castle on our way out.....

Being as though we got there at 11pm, we were able to snag a FRONT ROW parking spot. We hopped the monorail back and walked to our spot. Then headed back for sweet dreams of starting all over again the next day.

UP NEXT DAY 3!!!

I am so sorry I haven't been able to do my normal replies! But I AM here.. and I AM reading and enjoying your report!!!

Love the snuggie picture... you should send that into the People of the Parks website! Have you seen that?!

It will always be the Wedway People Mover to me, too!

And here is the Snopes page about Disneyland/World deaths:

No Decapitation here!

That silly Jordan.... he sure made that ride extra scary for you two!!:sad2:

oh that makes me sad that we did not stay for EMH. we were there that day but after dinner at WCC we decided to head back since it was so cold. Not that both boys would have been able to stay up at 3 and 16 mos. I guess we will need to go back when they are a little older. DH is thinking Oct next time when it will still be warmer and I am thinking f&W festival...so that is totally do-able!

What a great night! I'm glad you were able to get so many rides in.

I can't believe your husband did the tongue thing. :rotfl2:

Sounds like you all had a great night and got to much done :thumbsup2

What a great group shot of you all....even the one with DH doing a Jordan impression

Trent is same way as your ds....used to ride with me, but now always wants his Daddy....but hey, as least we get more room to stretch out on the rides :woohoo:

Great update Blue !!:thumbsup2 It is so fun reading what the others remember and I had forgotten!!!! ;)It was a FUN filled evening !!! Blue is right I had a horrifying experience on Goffys Barnstormer !! I am such a chicken even a kids rollercoaster scares me !!!!:scared1::rotfl2:

The ride on the People Mover was the first for me and I loved it is definately a will do again !!!

Obviously, there needs to be a snuggie etiquette course before you're allowed to buy one.

That night was one of my favorites from the trip!
I only wish I had thought to get video of Jordan's screams on SM..

Oh dear, a snuggie in the park? What were these people thinking? Danielle preferred to pair off with DH this trip too. Michelle said it was to butter him up so he would spend more money on her. Wonderful night! I haven't ever done EMH at night yet. I'm a morning person and I just don't think I could stay up that long.

I never thought I'd see a picture of an elephant's butt like that! :lmao::lmao:

What a great night at the MK!!We love Pirates and Dumbo too!

And what a great Superbowl! I would have loved to be in WDW! Sounds like a great night. We ended up getting a last minute room right after the game at the Omni Royal! It took us FOREVER to get in because of traffic, but everyone was dancing in the streets
so it made it better.

Hi Cherie, I love hearing about your EMH at MK. You were very lucky to go on so many rides. It is a great feeling at night when it is empty in the parks and you walk right through the lines. It is different than mornings-kind of like getting a sale item and when you get to the register they tell you it is another 30% off.
Your pics are great too!

Found your TR through Jordan's..........so glad I did! Your pics are great and I love your writing style! :thumbsup2 The Snuggies....:rotfl2: You really never know what you're going to see at WDW! Can't wait for more...

That Jordan is a piece of work ;) The last 2 times I went to WDW Spaceship Earth was closed, bummer, I thought it was really cool when I did it 18 years ago. How can you not love a Snuggi?!?! Me and Bella both have one :thumbsup2 BUUUUT I would not wear it in public!

what a fun night, that stinks about the teachers not liking him being pulled out of school.

growing up our teachers always told our parents that we will learn more in disney then in the classroom without even knowing that we are learning, and encouraged us to go on the trips.

Hi Sooze! It's okay. I haven't been able to be here as much as I'd like either!

Oooh, yeah! I think I will send that pic to them. :rotfl2: That site cracks me up!

Hmmmm, I saw another site that said everyone may be mistaking it for an incident on the matterhorn bobsleds instead. Not sure. Jordy had a story that went along with it. It sounded pretty true. Not sure if I should write it on here or not. :confused3 If it's not true, then either he believes it too or he totally got me and Winkers! Either way, I'm sticking with the story I heard and will protect my head at all costs! :scared1:

EMH at night are awesome!! Yes it was VERY cold! We layered clothes upon clothes.

F&W festival is something we would LOVE to do. Not sure when we could swing it since it's during the school year. But I'm always watching!! ;)

What a great night! I'm glad you were able to get so many rides in.

I can't believe your husband did the tongue thing. :rotfl2:

It was a great night! Loved it.
:rotfl2: That would have been awesome to get his screams. I'm still bummed that I didn't put our ride pic on photopass! I should have ran back and done it before we left the park. I think they can look it up for you by the approximate time.

what a fun night, that stinks about the teachers not liking him being pulled out of school.

growing up our teachers always told our parents that we will learn more in disney then in the classroom without even knowing that we are learning, and encouraged us to go on the trips.

The teachers have been okay with it so far. But I keep hearing that our new principle is going to try to put a halt on it starting next year. This year was her first at this school. We will have to play it by ear I guess.

I agree, and we usually try to make it educational for him. This year he did all of his homework/school work for that week on our drive down there. We also count countries, name countries in Epcot. We also tried to see how many things in WDW we could find with the "letter of the week" that his class was learning that week. It's fun, actually.

On our way to Church. Hopefully I can do an update tonight or within the next day or 2!!! Miss chatting with everyone.
