She also revealed that the intent is that as long as nothing goes wrong with the "testing" they will simply keep adding hotels over the coming months. So hotels that have MB & FP+ in September will continue to have them afterward as wll as more hotels each month.

So if what she is saying is correct..then they are indeed doing a sort of soft roll out on this..

I wonder what the order of resorts will be then.
And do they plan to eliminate being able to pull regular fastpasses? Or just wait until all the resorts are up and then pull the regular fastpass out?

While doing my FastPass+ reservations online, it only allowed me to do 3.
Should I just opt out instead and go with paper Fastpasses considering I get around 5 a day and also because I go with Park Hopper?

Will we still be available to use the booths to print out other fast passes with our cards on the second park? :confused3

And third, once I've chosen my FastPasses through internet, how do I cancel them to opt out instead!? :(

You don't have to opt out (I'm not even sure there is such a thing any more, if there ever was). You can use regular FP with your KTTW card even if you're using Magicbands for FP+.

I'm hoping I didn't just make a huge mistake. We are doing a split stay in October - arriving at WL on 10/16, then moving over to BC from 10/20-10/25. I bought a 5-day PH ticket from Undercover Tourist, which I was planning to have bridged and upgraded to an 8 or 9 day ticket on our first day there. BC is testing FP+ during that time, so I linked our current 5-day tickets so that I could reserve my FP+ times. Does this mean that the tickets will now only be linked to the magic bands, which I'm assuming we can only use during our BC portion of the stay, and I will not be able to use my tickets and upgrade them during the first part of our stay when we are at WL? Sorry if a similar question has already been asked...I haven't been able to find the answer.

I'm asking out of curiosity: If you are an AP and participated in the testing with the bands, can you link your AP to your band. I also made a thread asking about the kiosks around the park since I wanted more information on them but I don't know if I should just keep posting there until I get a reply

Really? I thought it was prohibited. Everywhere I look/search they say you can only use one option for your fastpasses: either go card or wristband.
Once you start using one, the other becomes blocked.

Was it canceled?

They won't tell you that you can use both. But you can. Only there's no way to know how long that will continue.

Yeah. Heard about the Loophole being:

"A "cheat" exists which is to enter one park with your band, and use all of your Fastpass+ in there, then enter your second park with the backup cards, and do paper Fastpass there. We did that a few days. Worked well, but I don't know how long that loophole will exist."

I can work with that. Seems fair! :)
Thanks!

Fastpass+ selection is now available for my Pop stay in Mid-October. My DIL and I are sharing a room -- adult girls trip to F&W and MNSSHP. MDE clearly shows that I need to customize her MB (but I'm waiting hoping for something other than gray). However when I tried to do the FP+, it said there was no ticket media for her. My DIL has her own MDE account, which is linked to my MDE account. She put her annual pass number into her MDE account.

Since we're sharing a room, I thought I was supposed to manage everything? Now I'm wondering if I do my FP+ picks on my MDE and then she does hers on her MDE?

If you have a 5 days ticket, you won't be allowed to make more than 5 days of FP+ reservation over the course of 14 days (which is how long your tickets are valid without a non expiration option)

I have another issue. I have a 21 days ticket on a 21 nights package, but only can make 14 days worth of FP+ over the course of those 21 days
IT is on it.

As for your question, the number of days you can make FP+ reservations for, cannot exceed the number of days on the tickets linked to your MDE account.
If you have a 5 days MYW ticket, and try to make a 6th day of FP+ reservation, you'll get "FastPass+ limit reached" under your avatar on MDE.

If you wish to add a 6th day of FP+ you need to link another 1 day ticket to your account, or extend the 5 days to a 6th.

Actually I have a 6 day pass and made 7 days of FP+. We have MNSSHP tix and can get in at 4 so I will actually be in parks 7 days but only 6 days of tix. The FP+ system doesn't allow for the time of the special parties since the park officially closes at 7 but I got some FP for before the actual parties... So long story short, it did allow me to book FP for 7 days instead of the 6 I had tix for.

You don't even have to wait for the second park or use the KTTW card to get in. The part of the FP machines that looks for whether you entered the park has been turned off.

I am going through this right now. Send each other an invite through Friends and Family on MDE. At that point you can see each other's accts and book rides together. IT guy said we needed to uncheck "Keep names private" so our kids would show up on each other's acct. They are clearing it up for me now. I hope it works for you.

Anyone feel like starting a rumor that every illicit swipe of a card through the FP machine will result in a $10 charge to the card they have attached to their account? ;)

Awww..... come on. Those of us who can't get in on all the extra FPs have to make a little fun SOMEHOW!

Or it will cancel their Fasspass+'s for the rest of the day?
Hoping they add more resorts soon!

Have we established if this is something that we do need to contact IT to fix?

It has been about a week and a half now since I first called (called again Tuesday) and they upgraded it to a Level 2 problem. I am not sure if it will mess anything up but would love to hear of someone else that had this problem and has already gone or made FP+ reservations. I just don't want it to mess up my ability to change the FP+ on my phone in the park if my tickets only show on the website and not the app.

I have my AP linked to MDE and will be taking part in the upcoming Oct testing.

I don't think it is a "cheat" or a "loophole". The ONLY place I've read that it isn't allowed is on these boards. I was never able to find it in any of the official correspondence I received from Disney for our trip last week.

I doubt they'll ever address double-dipping because I'm not sure they see it as a problem. Eventually everyone will be able to do it when MM+ is fully rolled out and FP- will eventually go away (not sure which will come first).

One thing I found interesting while testing last week was at times, there were FP- available for times that were NOT available for FP+ on the same attractions. They clearly aware not opening all FP slots up to FP+ (yet anyway). I was asked by a CM last week for some feedback on the system and my recommendations were:

- don't limit to one park/day
- don't limit to one/attraction per day
- 3 is not even close to enough/day
- keep some available for same day booking

Regarding the last point, we missed a FP+ for BTMRR because it was down and they simply recommended we booked something else. I explained that there was literally nothing available that we were interested in.
