(I think FQ is part of the test but I'm not certain).

No, POFQ is not going live next month. Riverside starts issuing Magic Bands on 3rd September, with FQ quoted as "a few months" behind (which could mean almost anything).

I'll just go on the record with my prediction... *** I think FP+ will be rolled out with the ability to (at 60 days out) reserve 3FP+'s per day...THEN once the first FP+ is used (or the time expires), you will be able to reserve another FP+ for that day from the current pool of selection times at any park. (Testers are doing this now). BUT at full roll-out this process will be repeatable again and again throughout the day. So you can just use the 3 reserved FP+'s, or keep on dipping from the FP+ pool all day. You will just be limited to an active list of 3 FP's, at most, at any given time. ***

this is an interesting theory I like the idea that you can hold only 3 at any given time and that once "used" it is "recycled" in to your pool of passes it will be interesting to see what happens

Kind of makes me want to swap my plans around I used my 3 for later in the day peek times....

My tickets don't sure up on the website either, i.e. MYW package is listed under the resort section but under tickets it's blank. I assume I need to call to get them to look at this as I'm currently unable to do my FP+?

Yeah, I would call for that for sure. I have my four 9-day tickets listed on the website after the resort reservation, it is just the app they are not showing up for me.

I was going to use that same approach - plan to use my FP+ for peak times - but once I heard that FP+ testers were (unofficially) able to also use KTTW or paper tickets for FP-, I moved my selections to not-quite-RD, but typically the times I would have pulled FP-'s in the past. Get the best of both worlds early in the day.

I do have some evening FP+ plans. Like on the day we plan to go to Blizzard Beach. We have an evening at HS planned and a Toy Story FP+ already reserved/pulled. Not something I could have counted on with the current system. :)

So I'm planning on picking up my AP on Sept 30. I'm not staying onsite.
Will I be given the option of a wrist band at that time?

I understand that the Fast Pass+ won't be an option for me in early October, but will admission and charging and maybe dining ressies be available on the band?

(sorry if this has been asked before, but there are so many pages to read!)

really disappointed, was so hoping to try out the Magic Bands. Checking into POFQ on October 19th, guessing that a "few months behind" will be long after we have checked out.

Do you know about SSR? When is that likely to go live?

I thought they were aiming for a full roll out in November. :(

When someone gets a new AP or renewal AP are they getting a green card or is that only now if they don't have a magic band. I would hope you still get the card.

based on various things I'd say you will get a "green card" regardless.
1. you need something to show at stores to get discounts as there is no way for anyone to tell if ap holder is still in "good" standing with just band
2. I saw on FB that AP holders could switch "paper" tickets to rfid ones and I honestly took this to be a hint of "get your butt in gear" and do it.
3. I'd say a lot of Ap holders are not resort guests so as of right now no magic bands.
4. I'd think Disney would want everyone to have backup in case the MB went down.

Is the FP+ selections suppose to be open 60 days out or 70 days out. I thought I read somewhere that it is 60 days for non-resort and 70 days if you are at a Disney resort. Has anyone been able to select FP+ further then 60 days out?

Has anyone heard about Fort Wilderness Campground and when the may be included? We go in November and Im crossing my fingers :D

Is Fast pass+ going to be mandatory for everyone eventually?

In a matter of speaking. Eventually all admission media (tickets, MagicBands, etc.) will only have RFID chips and no magnetic stripe. The current FP machines can only read a magnetic stripe. So those machines will go away once the new system is fully rolled out. What no one knows for sure is what the same-day component of the new system will look like.

You will likely NOT receive a MagicBand. The September and October tests only include onsite guests (though things could change at any time). I'm not sure if adding charging privileges to an AP holder's MB (if they're not staying onsite) will ever actually be an option.

No one knows which resorts will be added after October's list. Stay tuned.

Sorry if this question seems a little dim - But in order to use and make FP+ reservations, due you have to have your park tickets linked to MDE, or is your room reservation all you need?

At the moment, you need to have BOTH (a room reservation at certain test resorts only, plus valid ticket media) linked to your MDE account to be able to book FP+.

Wanted to share my experience with split stay for our upcoming Oct trip-

For part of the trip we are staying in a AOA suite with my in laws. They booked the trip in their name, under their disney account under room only. For the second part of the trip we are staying at AOA in a LM room only after the in laws leave. We booked the second part under our name and our account.

Hubby, me and kids bought tickets through UCT. I added the tickets to our MDE which had our LM room reservation shown. For those days I was able to get magic bands and select fast passes no problem.

I tried to link our first part of the stay in the suite with in laws to my account so that we may select fast pass plus for that portion of the trip and it wouldn't let me since my in laws already had it linked under their account-

I called disney IT and they were wonderful. Somehow they were able to get the reservation so that it also showed both parts of the stay under my account and I was able to select fast passes for that portion of the stay as well- even though my in laws don't have park tickets yet. Obviously they cannot get fast pass plus since they don't have tickets.

We will now be getting two magic bands. IT told me that it will not be an issue when we arrive and we can use either band when we arrive. We shall see.

Also- to make things more confusing, we are staying at OKW for the beginning of the trip. While OKW isn't testing- Disney IT Dept. said that all resorts now have the capability to link our room to the magic bands. We will not be able to get fast pass plus for that portion of the trip but we should still be able to use our magic bands to get into our rooms, as long as OKW has CMs who know what they are doing.

When all else fails- call the IT dept and do it before your magic bands are sent. They completely answered all my questions and helped us with our fast pass plus issues.

I thought you were allowed to get FP+ based on your park tickets not your room reservations? If that's true it shouldn't matter where you stay?

I'm glad they were able to fix everything for you.

For the test phase they are only allowing certain resorts to be part of the testing.
