I am staying at Pop in Oct and I have already been able to make FP+ selections for that trip. I have a second trip scheduled in Nov with my wife and 3 kids at the Poly. As of this morning I am able to make FP+ selections for myself but not the rest of my family. I spoke with IT this morning and they said that since the Poly hasn't been announced as being part of one of the test resorts for Nov that the rest of my family may not be able to get magic bands. Has anyone heard what resorts will be testing in Nov? And if so if I made a one night reservation at a testing resort for my wife and kids would they then be able to get FP+ for the rest of our 10 night stay?

No hotels have been announced yet for November. What are you using for tickets. You might be able to add them to the october Pop reservation so they can have magic bands.

Do you have to do online checkin to be eligible for the Magicbands/ Fastpass +? I have tried several days to do it and keep getting error messages. Thanks!

Anyone know if there's specific days or a date range that Fantasmic is available as a FP+ in October?

Nothing has been announced for November, so you aren't likely to get any support on a November reservation at this point.

However, as of right now, ALL the Disney resorts will be testing resorts by the end of October. And we fully expect things will continue to move forward in November, they just haven't prepped for it yet. So likely at some point you will be able to get them set up.

We are headed to WDW in a little less than 1 month, we just customized our bands and made all of our FP+ reservations last night.

Here is my situation: Some family that lives locally may be joining us for a day, they will most likely just buy their tickets the day of and just do a day or two with us. Is there a way to get link their tickets to our FP reservations that day? My guess is no since they aren't listed on our reservation and won't have Magic Bands. So while the rest of us are going on our FP+ reserved rides, they will have to:

A. Pull a "regular" FP and ride most likely at a different time?
B. Ride it standby?
C. Wait for us at the exit?

Anyone have any other insight on this? It is starting to make my head hurt. LOL!

This whole new system will take some getting used to, but I have a feeling gone are the days of spontaneously inviting family to join us. I guess people better plan ahead if they want to come with us! For some reason, I am the only one in my family who received the "planning" gene. :rotfl2:

Right now, I believe the answer is "no". Only the "invited" can utilize the system, and you are invited based on resort reservations.

Eventually, when it is available to all, it should be able to "link up" and book, so long as everyone has tickets linked. If they don't buy tickets in advance, then you cannot book FP+ for them until they do.

Our tickets for November are included in our resort and dining package. I think I would need to to add them to my reservation at Pop in Oct and purchase them each a single day ticket. Not sure if $400 is worth it to get them magic bands.

Sounds great... Thank you very much for the info.

So I am just beyond frustrated at this point :headache:

I called IT and explained about my linking issue and the CM asks if I bought my tickets from UT then proceeds to tell me this is why I can not link them as UT tickets will not link and if I get an "invite" to participate in FP+ I will need to go to guest services in the park to have them set up FP + for me.

Bite me Disney! In other words buy your tickets from Disney or else. In all the years I have been visiting WDW and DL I have never felt like I was being pushed aside before or treated like a second class guest but that is how I feel at this moment.

I am ready to cancel my entire trip! :furious:

I'm having the same problem. I got a hard plastic ticket from UT, linked it in MDE, & I can't make FP+ reservations. I just got off the phone with Disney. The CM was really nice, but she wasn't able to help me. She didn't mention anything about Undercover Tourist, but said that she knew about the problem & is going to "escalate" it to someone who can fix it. They're supposed to email or call me when the problem is resolved. I'll give them until Friday & then call back. For anyone else having problems with UT tickets & FP+, call 1-407-939-3471 & select Option 2. If enough people report this problem, maybe they'll make fixing it a higher priority.

UT tickets can link fine. You SHOULD be able to do it on the web site, but it depends if they are "paper" (old tickets) or "plastic" (new cards). You do that in two different places.

Not quite true. There is a glitch in MDE. It will not properly link the hard plastic UT tickets. You have to call Disney & report the problem. At this time, there's no workaround.

Here's a follow up on the "more than 14 days tickets" issue

Here is the issue :
- UK 21 days ultimate ticket linked to MDE as part of a package at a testing resort, and a 1 day hopper at another testing resort.
- Total length of stay linked to MDE : 24 nights/25 days (all at a participating resort, dates 10/18 - 11/11)
- Total number of ticket days linked to MDE : 22 days
- Able to make FP+ for any date along those 25 days
- Unable to book FP+ for more than 14 days during the 25 days (FP+ limit reached / number of FP+ is capped at 14 times 3 FP+ *or 4 for some MK days*)

Disney's IT answer :

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort.

There is a limit to the number of days of Fastpass+ that can be booked
at one time. Once you have used the first of your Fastpass+ days, you
will be able to select another day of Fastpass+.

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact
us.

so the limit is set at 14 days, even for those who have booked a longer stay and have 21 days tickets.
I guess the same goes for split stays that total over 14 days (for example a 10 day stay at a resort, and a 6 day stay at another resort would be 16 days. 2 days would not be eligible for advance FP+)

I believe others have reported success with the RFID ticket as well as the paper tickets. But I'm betting there is a glitch with how the RFID UT tickets are handled, and the Disney computers may not be recognizing them as active in some cases.

That is the # I called and pressed 2 and the CM was not helpful at all, did not escalate me to anyone. I had to go out so did not try calling again but I did call on Thursday and that CM was no help either.

At this point I am thinking just leave well enough alone before something happens and my tickets end up deactivated or something.

Seems like they have more problems with the new system than they can handle.

Thanks for the update. I bet that will apply to AP holders as well, which should satisfy those who think AP holders have the time to book up all the FP+ for two months at a time just because they might go that day, and aggravate the AP holders who actually PLAN to be at the parks more than 14 days... :)

If you hear something about how to fix the problem & properly link UT hard plastic tickets in MDE, please let us know! From what I've read, there are lots of folks having issues. Unfortunately, I haven't come across anyone reporting a success story with these tickets.

I believe it is something that has to be fixed on the Disney side, unfortunately.

I'm sorry that no one offered to help you. That's terrible customer service.

Unfortunately, some CMs get it into their heads that since you didn't buy from Disney == bad, and therefore no help.

I don't know why, but some CMs can/will do things others cannot. Many times I have had one CM at one GR tell me no, that absolutely cannot not be done, or give me a price waaaay higher than I know to be true - then I try another GR the next day or on the way back out of the park and they know exactly what I am talking about and make it happen. This always happens to me around upgrading/adding to tickets. It's always been worth it to me to check and check again. Good luck! Parts of this transition are way too stressful.

I spent 40 minutes on the phone with IT getting my DVC reservation onto MDX and now I can't log into the DVC site today. For all her good intentions she has somehow altered my DVC login now.

Am I doing this wrong? We got the magic bands for our 7 night stay at CSR in October. I was just making our Fastpass + selections, and after 4 days it told me we had reached out Fastpass + limit and couldn't select any more without trading confirmed selections on other days. Isn't it three per person per day?
