Nope! He seems the all bark-no-bite type to me.
He seems more like the amusing "tongue in cheek" sort to me.

LOL (squared)...I have no idea if Franklin was pushed out or not, but he will most likely land a more lucrative gig with someone else...corporate turnover is nothing newsworthy...
as far a getting additional fast passes or multi park flexibility, those are all contingencies built into the grand plan from Day 1...social media may expedite the rollout, but please don't think that Disney "went back to the drawing board" to appease a few vocal detractors on the DisBoards...![]()
Assuming the MyMagic+ executive was fired and did not leave on his own (sometimes execs are brought in to get a project off the ground and then they do something else to include retire). It had very little if anything to do with FP+ and griping on this board. Cost overruns, missing deadlines, not functioning as visioned. Those are things that get you fired. Example. If the original budget was 1 billion and now it is up to 1.5 billion headed toward 2 billion. That will get you fired. Suppose to have finalized in June '13 and looking at late '14. That will get you fired. The system crashing or constant programming errors that require fixing. That will get you fired.
Now I have asks several people (not DISBOARD users) who used MyMagic+ as a whole and all have been happy with it. The biggest negative was the husband of the couple calling it the moneyband instead of Magic Band. Basically his wife could easily buy stuff at WDW. That may be a negative on a Disboard but that would get you promoted in the Disney Board room.
As far as Iger goes. The tracking I have seen is Disney Stock is going up fairly well for a well established Company. Iger answers to a board and stockholders. That it what they look at. Of course Disney is a huge company that goes well beyond Theme Parks, many things can keep Iger's job safe that has nothing to do with the Parks (probably safe to say the movie Frozen raked in a 1/2 billion profit by itself to offset any possible losses elsewhere).
No way to properly gauge based on lack of data and also a lack of a baseline of spending habits of resort guests...variables include cash and card based transactions not linked to a room. What is your source? This is a great story for investors. I stress the word story because that is all it is...The initial numbers on MM+ stated a 25% growth in consumer spending by guests using the magic bands at the parks. That gets you promoted, not fired. Limiting to 3 FP+, not being able to park hop, etc. means little to a business when you extrapolate the profits over a 10 year period that come from a 25% increase in spending at the theme parks. They will get those things corrected but if those initial numbers hold over time MM+ will be considered one of the greatest success stories in Disney history, despite what Disboard members may say.

shhh....let's watch them argue with him. It's like Inspector Clouseau and the blind man with the minkey.
I speak for the common folk and the hardcore fans. We will not negotiate with Disney. We fully expect fast pass plus to be removed from certain rides or the we will not attend. Inside numbers show a drop in attendance comparing this spring to 2013.
This should work out splendidly - Guests who now book FPs for Pirates will be forced to pick something like BTMRR or SM.
I'm surrounded by geniuses.
For those of you that keep screaming about me "speaking for you" I want to make this clear that I am an advocate for all that is good. I seek to restore sanity to wdw by voicing the obvious. Wdw management is well aware of the fast pass and related issues. It was a very humbling experience for Disney management to admit that they were wrong and change the number of fast passes and ability for guests to access more than one park for fast pass booking. Soon Disney will again change the fast pass structure and we will find a removal of fast passes for several attractions albeit it may be seasonal.
There is a village out there very happy these days celebrating their loss.
I thought that what he was doing was obvious and wondered if I'd missed something. I admire his resolve. My DVR was looking a little sparse this morning. I'm in.![]()
What you think is "good" is not what everyone thinks is good. They never admitted they were wrong. When I was testing in SEPTEMBER I was told the limit would change with full deployment. It was always going to change. You've made a lot of assumptions and turned them into petty demands of what YOU want. And sure other people might want it too but some of us don't. 2013 broke attendance records. They aren't running scared from your demands I assure you. This FP system will evolve just like the old one did and it won't be because of people like you throwing tantrums on the internet. They have endless surveys about it for a reason.
Credible source supporting the idea of record attendance numbers?
http://m.hollywoodreporter.com/entry/view/id/98952 http://skift.com/2013/08/08/disney-theme-parks-new-attractions-help-drive-record-attendance/ Final numbers are not yet available for the entire year but they are saying 3 of the 4 parks broke their annual attendance records set in the early 90s.
The initial numbers on MM+ stated a 25% growth in consumer spending by guests using the magic bands at the parks.
