A couple of months ago I had a problem at work, I went to pick up my paycheck, for two days nobody knew where it was , two days later I found it locked up in a cabinet all because the manager wanted to write me up for having my husband call in sick for me the week before and she wanted me to sign the pink slip before she handed me the paycheck. BIG MISTAKE, I called the area supervisor on his cell phone ( little that she knew I had it because he had given it to me a few months before ) and I explained what happened. He took care of the whole situation and immediately told her not to ever lock up any paychecks again. I just went to get it again, guess where it was?? locked up again!!! but heck this time there was nothing to sign, it was just so it wouldn't get lost ( yeah right ) but if they lock it up how the heck are we supposed to get it when the manager is not there?? I get most of it direct deposit but my company will not deposit the whole thing ( one very stupid thing from them ) they only deposit a fixed amount every week and the rest comes on a check, is that stupid or what??
Some people just don't understand!:mad: :mad:

Hmmm...if I were responsible for checks, I wouldn't want people going in and getting them when I'm not there. Our company has us keep them under lock and key. Any that aren't picked up by the end of the day are taken to HR. Each person is then responsible for getting their check from them.

The problem Pin Wizzard is that she locks them up and then nobody has a key until monday when she returns, and we are only 8-10 people to get paychecks, not that anyone can do anything with them anyway, just leave them in the drawer like it was always done before she came along.

I would say since the supervisor told her not to do it again, I'd call and tell him again.

Well, it stink she has the only key. If she's not going to be there, don't they have someone else to hand them out?

I agree with Rajah call them again. The worst thing is that they won't know it is a problem if no one tells.

Hi Olga! I agree with the others, I would report her actions again since she was told not to do it again. When I did payroll when I left for the day on Friday I always had a designated spot for the people to pick up there checks in my absence. This system worked for all involved and we never had any problems.

:bounce::wave::bounce:

I would also report it again and suggest that there be a backup key and someone that will be there know where it is. That really stinks!!!!

I am going to tell him but I won't call him for this, I know that sooner or later I will see him in person at work and then I will tell him to see her face and her reaction.
