Can anyone please advise me on the removal/neutralization of cigarette smoke odor in wood?
I'll back up a bit...We inherited an heirloom dining room table, and it has been in a smoking home for several years. The smoke smell has absorbed into the wood. I LOVE the table, but it STINKS!!
I think I read somehwere that if you place a cup of vinegar in the room for several days it will neutralize the odor, but I can't find it online anymore. Has anyone tried this? And if so, did it work? Or do you know of any products on the market that will take care of the problem? If we can't get rid of the smell, I'm afraid we may not be able to keep the table.
TIA,
-Christal
