Very cute! I love that shot :)

These are all great. My wife has several books written about 'hand coloring photographs'. They have lots of great tips. While the technique is different, the basic design rules would still help!

This one was taken at Disney's Castaway Cay on the cruise last month.

Here are two I just made from a photo I took at EPCOT last week of Winnie The Pooh. The first I just did the selective coloring...

I really enjoyed all of your photos...awesome. I am "old school" and still shoot 35 mm film. I know...I need to get with it and move to digital. :confused3 I am curious if you can use the photoshop software with scanned pictures? (probably a dumb question...be nice to me)
My family took our first trip to WDW last fall and I shot 28 rolls of film :rotfl2:
I would love to do some "magic" with some of my pictures.
On a scale of 1 - 10 how difficult is this selective coloring process?

Thanks

I am still new to Photoshop but one of the options on GET PHOTO is from a scanner. You shouldn't have any problems besides it being a time consuming task. :)

I haven't done the selective coloring thing yet - sorry I can't give it a rating. Yet. ;)

it all depends on how easily you learn new software...some people would say it's a 10, I think it's extremely easy...

As far as difficulty, I think you will be fine! Like the previous poster said, certainly people take to things differently than others. However, just on this thread we've discussed a handful of various ways to get to the end result -- it might take a little experimentation, but I would guess that one of them would work well for you! :goodvibes

28 rolls of film!!! Oh my.

Does your scanner take slides and negatives? You'll get a better scan from them than from a print.

Selective coloring is extremely easy, it's a little addictive though. :p

I love the sepia one, very nice work! :thumbsup2

I'm very new to all of this and I use Paint Shop Pro.

With using Mickey88's process, it was a 10 (on how easy) and took only a couple of minutes (definately less than 5).

It's pretty simple, just takes awhile to get use to using the mouse to get the lines perfect...much easier with one of those pens for the computer.
