My co-worker is a fountain of misinformation!! 5/14 the day has come page 130

Am I the only one who's dissapointed with MissI's response to this? :confused3

I mean, this is eerily similar to conversations that could happen between any of us and the "unbelievers" all around us...

"You're going there AGAIN? Why? Didn't you just go there? What do you mean you're not going anywhere else?" Wash, rinse, repeat.

:wizard:

I think it's funny that she made it sound like her shoes were not cheap, because she spent a whole FIFTEEN DOLLARS on them!

:lmao: That was my thought! As if no one could POSSIBLY have any shoes more expensive than THAT! LOL!!

Holy cow!! $15!? I do well to find bargain shoes for my kids at that price! I like to get cheap shoes for them for church as they only are worn for 2 hours, once a week. And they still outgrow them faster than they wear out. And by"cheap" I mean $12-15, although sometimes I can't find anything for under $20 as my 11 year old is wearing a ladies' size 8 shoe these days.

I would have expected something from Miss I like, "Why would you want to go to Florida? All they have there are mosquitos the size of yams." Which is what everyone said to me the first time I went. Funny thing is, I've been back 6 times & have never once had to use mosquito repellant. :confused3 Apparently there are a lot of Miss I's in the world, 99% of whom have never been to Florida!

You realize that at this very moment MI is posting a message on a board of budget-minded, child rearing, wedding crashing, travel experts that she has an idiotic co-worker who spent $30 on RUBBER SHOES

;)

Ah but you guys forget we've all ready a conversation about my vaca at the luncheon where we were "sticking it to the company" by eating at Red Lobster. And we've had other comments about my cheap rubber shoes. (Remember she didn't want to smell my stinky feet)

I have sent her the website with the $100.00 crocs, we'll see what kind of comment we get about that.

And hey those cheap knock offs from Payless cost $12.99 not $5.00!!!:rotfl:

Hey, I'm willing to risk that kind of karma any day... there are FAR worse kinds!!! :rotfl:

Miss Info comes to me this morning asking if I am really outta here after today.

Me - Yep off to Florida.

Miss Info - And you really are spending the whole week at Disneyworld?

Me - Yep

Miss Info - Because if your going to go somewhere else too, that's okay.

Me - Nope just Disneyworld. Don't even have a car rented...

Miss Info - WHAT?!?!? You don't have your own car?? What if you have to leave? What if you don't like something going on around you?? How are you going to take care of it?

Me - I don't think anything is going to happen and if it does, Disney and I will figure it out.

Miss Info - Tell me you're at least taking a couple of pairs of comfortable shoes.

Me - I have my gym shoes and my crocs. Both well worn in.

Miss Info - CROCS!! WTH are those? Oh not those cheap rubber shoes you walk around in?!?!?

Me - My crocs probably cost more than the pair of shoes you are wearing. (See now I just want to get her goat)

Miss Info - I don't think so, I paid $15.00 for these shoes.

Me (laughing) My crocs cost double of that.

She didn't believe me so I opened the crocs website and she saw just how much my "cheap rubber shoes" really cost.

I can't wait to see if she tells me to have a good time when she leaves this afternoon.

Have a great trip!!! :thumbsup2 You will have to tell her all about it when you get back! I can only imagine, but she was rather tame today. Maybe she isnt feeling well and will start to moo and hiss while you are gone?

E.G.
Yes, EG, have a great trip, walk comfy, and enjoy an entire week without MOOing and inane comments.

But, shucks, that means that the rest of us will just have to survive without MI's pearls of wisdom to brighten our day.

I could allways send her a link to this thread and ask her to give you guys her pearls of wisdom directly!!!:lmao:

I stumbled upon this thread today for the first time... hello, unproductive day at work! This thread is like a trainwreck... just... can't... look... away...

Actually MI reminds me of my wife's BIL. He's a constant story teller, and generally mis-informed about everything. Probably 99% of the stories are BS (and that's a conservative estimate). He was apparently stationed in Guam for a time when he was in the military, so he has a lot of stories that start "When I was in Guam..." Of course, now DW and I start pretty much everything we tell each other with "When I was in Guam..."

Reminds me "Picture it, Sicily, 1924" Sophia on Golden Girls :goodvibes

Have a great trip EG. If you see a mom that looks either worn ragged by her 3 kids or somewhat more excited than her kids to be at WDW (will depend on the time of day :rotfl: ) it's me. :yay: :yay: :yay:
