My co-worker is a fountain of misinformation!! 5/14 the day has come page 130

Happy Birthday to Miss Info!!

She's told us for weeks that she is not celebrating this birthday, it's just a reminder of how old she's getting, blah, blah, blah. Specifically told us that she does not want to do the traditional birthday lunch that we all do. Fine, we respect that. Don't want to force anyone to have an enjoyable time.

So I walk in today and she says, "So where are we going for lunch today?"

Me - No where you said you didn't want to go.

Miss Info - Oh I changed my mind. I think we all need a break today.

Me - Oh-kay...well when everyone comes in I'll have to see who can make it.

Miss Info - (Starting to rant) I go to EVERYONE else's birthday lunch and now no one's going to come to mine?!?!?

Me - Well the rest of us don't wait for the day of to make the decision. We can go Monday if you would prefer.

Miss Info - No, we'll go today. This way I'll know who my true friends are. (Let the pouting begin)

I am so tempted not to go today, but I need to watch the dramatics that will ensue.

Now she's upset because it is all ready 11:00 and there are no flowers from her sister, no kids have called to wish her happy birthday, nothing. (Not even the 8:00 call from "son") I haven't even heard her talking to her husband. It's going to be a loooongggg afternoon.

welcome back from vacation. Make certain it comes up during lunch LOL... well only if you want to LOL

I bet she'll want to go someplace really fancy and expensive for lunch so she can stick it to the company. Like Red Lobster!

I say everyone should tell her they're going, and then leave without her. Nah... that's too mean for a birthday. I'm actually kind of appalled that this woman's birthday is so close to mine (on Monday). Thank goodness I don't believe in astrological signs, because that would mean I'd have some personality traits in common with her, and that's something I don't really want to think about for fear of my brain exploding.

I love how you make her sound like a 2 year old.

You said exactly what Ive been thinking. In my mind she always sounds like a pouting toddler who isn't getting her way.

Im just glad that there is gonna be good stuff to read later on the DIS thanks to Miss Info's B-Day.

Welcome back, I hope you had a good trip.

I can only imagine what the lady will order for lunch today?!?!?!?!! She is quite the piece of work.

Thanks! She asked about my vaca on Monday and then talked over me to tell me how awful things were here.

We are headed to Chili's for lunch. She's keeping it "cheap" since we all pitch in. I'm glad I could capture her essence and you can hear how she sounds.

Hey!! Happy Birthday Monday!!!

Chili's? I can't wait to hear her opinions on spicy food. And Mexicans. (Even though Chilis is neither spicy nor Mexican most of the time) Okay, maybe I could do without the next installment of Miss Info Racist Beeyotch, but that's what makes Miss Info so horriffic, the leves to which she takes her stupidity...

Oh yeah....

MAKE SURE THEY KNOW IT'S HER BIRTHDAY!!!! Maybe all the servers will sing to her!!!!

I'm glad I could capture her essence and you can hear how she sounds.

Good grief. She sound like how my DD (4 yrs old) is acting right now when I told her for the 10th time to finish making her bed  -can't find a temper tantrum smilie. I think all the people calling her princess princess: last week went to her head.

Hope you had a nice vacation.

I knew something had been missing. Welcome Back EG. I hope the trip was all you wanted it to be.

Can't wait to hear about the birthday lunch.

She may not be getting any gifts, but tell her I said thanks for all of the gifts she bestows on this thread.

I hope she gets the boneless buffalo wings and then tries to figure out how they find buffalos without any bones. And with wings, for that matter.

Hey!! Happy Birthday Monday!!!

Thanks! Maybe I'll see if I can talk my coworkers into a last-minute lunch. Then I'll remember that I left my wallet at home. Oh, and I won't tell them where I want to go, but later I'll complain that it wasn't any good.

Well kids, you're not going to believe it... she was an actual human at lunch. She pretty much stunned me. She got the Monterey chicken with loaded mashed potatoes. Not a complaint to be heard.

BUT!!! I did ask her about Vegas, because I was hoping for some restaurant recommendations for Christmas Eve. I gotta tell you she was pretty vague about where to go to get a nice meal. She named off the big casinos that just about anyone who's heard of Vegas could do, but couldn't tell me about any of the restaurants.

The boss gave her the rest of the day off with pay. Because they are BFF's after all.

As a side note, my trip was fabulous. I had a wonderful time and met 3 Disers while there. MNSSHP was a blast. And I think I need to save my pennies to buy a Segway, because I absolutely LOVED riding one.

Did you ask her specifically, "where did you eat while you were there?" I'd love to hear how she'd back pedal that answer.

Glad you liked MNSSHP! It IS so much fun! As are the segways. We said the same thing about buying one when we got back from Punta Cana this summer. DS and I rode them. DH and DD didn't want to do it, too... even after we raved about it.

Wow - I'm glad she managed to behave herself at the command-performance birthday lunch. (despite depriving us of our fun ;) )

She really put you guys in a no-win situation. If you HAD planned some big do, she'd have been mad about that too...(Didn't you listen to a word I said? I don't want to celebrate my birthday!)

At least all's well that ends well :)

She shares a birthday with my DH and DSIL!:scared1: THEY are nothing like HER believe you me!:sad2: Glad today was OK, now back to reality tomorrrow.;)
