My 1st PTR/TR: An unexpected trip, Disney in December 4 *Day 3 6/5 Illuminations!*

My cat lays exactly like that Lion! :rotfl:

I am so not interested in the rides where you get wet. I hate that feeling and I always end up looking like a drowned rat. But you guys look cute! With the temps I bet you dried off in no time! :thumbsup2

kali is on my list for next time, ride it then go back and change for the next park.

looks like you did not get too wet way to go.

Normally I'm not either, but we got lucky this time. After riding Splash Mt. last year, I vowed not to ride in the front anymore, it's amazing how wet you get on that one!

Kali is a nice rapids ride. Has an extra bonus in it that most rapids don't and it's a pretty long one. PLUS, they actually have plastic covers in the middle to keep your stuff from getting wet, that was the selling point as to why I got on it this year. I still think the wettest rapids ever is the Popeye one at Islands of Adventure, if you get stuck under the bucket dump then you're a goner! :rotfl2:

You have some nice wildlife photos! Did you have a zoom lens?
Ahhhh, Kali! When we went the last time DH got completely soaked! All the way thru! He was wet and then damp for 5 hours until we got back to BWV to change. The rest of us only had a few drops on us.... :confused3 He was NOT happy! :scared: He sort of did the waddle for a while! :rotfl:
Did you go to the Flights of Wonder?

Thanks! Well, I don't think I do. It's just a Canon Powershot, 7.1 megapixel. It zooms in quite well, you just have to keep your hand steady when you go to 16x. The rhinos and elephants got REALLY close this year. And I'm sorry, your poor DH, the waddle thought made me laugh out loud! :rotfl2:
I haven't seen Flights of Wonder in a looong time. It'll definitely be on the list for next time, I'm dying to see it again, especially considering the last time we saw it, we were using 45mm cameras and hadn't switched to digital yet!

Hey Jess, guess what!? I'm at work today on a snow day! So what's that mean?!

You guessed it- I caught up completely on your TR!!! Yay me!!!

:rotfl: Go you Julez! Thanks for catching up on my report :worship: I certainly have tons of updating to do myself!!

Hi everyone! Sorry for my absence...I'm currently re-reading Breaking Dawn, I have about 150 pages left. Eclipse is done for the 2nd time :thumbsup2
But really, I'm going home this weekend and the place where I've been uploading my pics hasn't been working lately and I'm thinking it's something with my virus scanner, so I'm going to finish uploading some more pics when I get home and you should be expecting an update on sometime this weekend.
Sorry for the holdup, but I hope that everyone is doing well! :flower3:

Ah ha!!! So you've been Twilighting again!!! I should have known! :rotfl2:
Ready for the next installment! :thumbsup2

I have... :rotfl2: I feel so lonely now at night without my Twilight books:rotfl: Last night I actually turned the TV on, but almost got the Twilight itch to pick up New Moon again! I ended up ordering a new book on amazon just so I won't start them again
But here comes your next installment, sorry for the hold up! :thumbsup2

Hi everyone! I am SO sorry for the delay, this is getting ridiculous, as I just realized that I am STILL on Day 2 of our trip :rotfl:
I ended up having to load my pics onto my thumb drive and put them onto my photosite at school, for some reason it's not liking my memory card. Also, I finally finished all my photopass families and sent them all out this morning, so I DO have all my photopass pics, I'll probably end up putting some up with each day instead of waiting until the very end to do so.
But without any further delay, here we go!!

So, when I last left off, we had just gotten off of Kali, pretty soaked, but not too bad, and now ready for some lunch!
Where did we stop?

I hadn't eaten here since 2002 with my mom, so I was excited to get back into it again. Granted, I can't have cheese, so I just pulled it off and Dbf gave me a few extra of his pepperoni's for some extra topping! I remember them having a very delicious chocolate cake here, but we didn't get it this time!
Instead, sharing as usual, we split a pepperoni pizza, chips (came with the meal), and a hot italian sandwich. The total was around $15, I don't have my money sheet with me today at work.

I had remembered liking their pizza, but never got the italian before and it was pretty darn good! It had ceasar salad on it instead of just plain lettuce so it gave it some extra flavor. Next time we go, I may get one of these by myself! :upsidedow
We decided to sit outside, 1) because it was SO nice out today and 2) I wanted to air myself out a little :rotfl:
So, here's Dbf and I enjoying the atmosphere

Dbf had also brought some cookies or something, may have been mini oreos so we enjoyed them instead to save a little dough

We decided it was getting late, I think about 3:15, the park closed at 5pm today and of course we wanted to do the Lion King show again (and only appropriate with our tshirt on today). We normally hit the last showing, but was able to sneak into the 2nd to last showing so that we would have time in Camp Minnie Mickey this time. So we snapped this one before heading to Camp Minnie Mickey.

And a few of the Lion King show, I always love the finale scene at the end!

The 1st year we ever saw this show was within a month of the Animal Kingdom opening. The tumble monkeys hadn't received their costumes yet so all they had on were red tights. It was quite amusing, as they were "acting" like monkeys but didn't quite fit the part!

Little did I know, the characters were all out as soon as we got out of the Lion King. Mickey, Minnie and Goofy all dressed up in the snow-attire. We lucked out on this one and were able to get pics with all 3, plus Lilo, Stitch, and 2 others within about 35 minutes!! I suppose everyone else was waiting for the last Lion King show.

Last year I only took pic of 1 of the Christmas trees, this year I decided to try and get a bunch more.

We didn't get "pics" with Minnie, but we did get Photopass photos for her, even though we got regular pics in addition to Photopass ones for everyone else. Not sure why..:confused3

And coming up to see Mickey!

The photopass pics with him are much better, but this one's still good

And Goofy Santa, loved him!

Goofy actually tried to steal me, and instead decided to kiss my hand for about 30 good seconds. Here's my reaction toward the end of it, boy was my face RED! :rotfl:

Next we saw Kenai (not sure on the spelling) from Brother Bear. He was too cute and I love this shot!

Then Dbf decided to do a little jig with the redneck tree. Not sure who this one belonged too..maybe the Brier gang?

And a last look at the tree. A nice family saw we were struggling to figure out how to take a picture with the two of us, so the husband offered and we got this one

And on the way out I snapped a close up pic of the ornaments

As we were heading toward our bus, Dbf out of nowhere I guess had remembered me talking about wanting to see the Animal Kingdom Lodge for a second if we had time. I would have LOVED to eat at Jiko if we had the dining plan, but I wanted to cross this one off my list of resorts I saw too (since we had seen the Poly and Gf last year). Dbf says, "hey, where's the AKL? Is it close?" Thankfully he remembered, so we changed our mind last minute and jumped on the AKL bus. :cheer2:

Next up..AKL and what do we decide for dinner plans??

So Goofy was going to steal you?! Cute picture! :)
All of the character trees are very fun! I think Lilo's might be my favorite. :thumbsup2
We didn't see Festival of the Lion King when we were there, seems like it was closed for some reason. We were just forced to go back on EE!! :rotfl:

wow you got alot more of the trees than me, i did not see all of those it was kinda busy down there that day after the lion king

Wow! I love all the themed Christmas trees, they are really cute. And as always, thank you for the light pictures. :thumbsup2

Oh the Festival of the Lion King is SO good. Even after seeing the one on Broadway, I still really like this one too! And yes, Goofy looked at Dbf and the CM goes "Goofy wants to know who he is" and points at Dbf. Then Goofy realizes he's Dbf, does his "oh shucks" snap and proceeds to start kissing my hand goodbye until my face turns red. It was quite funny :rotfl2:

There were a ton! I didn't realize there were that many and there's even still a bunch that I didn't get. I'm so shocked that it wasn't busy down there at that time!

I love the trees too! And of course you're welcomed, although, I think most of my better light pictures haven't come up yet :thumbsup2
