I thought this was very funny. My DD 17, Just got the information for her senior trip next May. And she is all up in arms. The trip is for 4 nights to ASSP, passes (4 day park hoppers) room and air. The cost $600.00 not inclusive of meals or spending money. I guess they had a clas meeting and basicly, mine was saying well with a code the rooms like $82 split four ways. I have an AP so Why should I get a park hopper pass? Etc.. Etc... I guess for all her protests she has been paying attention to my Disney obsession.
So she asked could she stay at her DVC? They said no they have to remain with the central group. Meanwhile she is staging a revolt with 3 other girls to stay at BWV or BCV!!!!
So they are trying to figure out how they can stay DVC and not have to stay in the Tenements:eek: So like another poster said of herself. This kid as well is definately DVC spoiled!

We had already been planning a May 05 trip. After December 05, We will be out of points. We will probably go at the same time and pretend that we have no idea who she is and promise to go nowhere near her at any time.
I would like to go and be nearby so that perhaps I can take a group one night on a fireworks cruise. I think that may be a nice memorable Senior trip activity for them.
Then being the teaser that I am I told her her brothers and I would be staying at AKL club level. She was not thinking that was very funny!

Too funny! She's staging a revolt for DVC! Think she could talk the school into buying as it would save them money?

I'm waiting to see my DD11's face when we check into an OKW studio. She is so used to being in a 2 bdrm. How terrible! But I'm conserving points this year so I go into next year without borrowing!

I could see my 3 DD's do the same thing! They are definelty DVC snobs!!! (and so aren't their parents!! LOL!)

Hi,

Cute story!!!!! Pixie dust that your daughter gets what she wants! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Allison an associate

RBUZZOTTA- Must be growing up in Linden that made her so snobby....

Lexxiefern- I have no idea what happened it is just gone....I tried to recover it with tech support to no avail. Finnaly I gave up and got a new one!

Tinkgirl- The lovely 17 year old HAS to stay with the group or she can not go!;) Its ok I will call her from the AKL concierge and tell her what fun we are having with the Expresso machine. She will just love that!::yes::

Yep, I can understand completely...my kids are the same way...although my dd 14 (depplyinluv) won't admit it!:teeth:

My daughters are 26 and 23, and are also DVC snobs!! My older daughter now lives in Chicago, and is making DVC friends. They actually have a group of young, single people(short on cash) whose parents are DVC members! Basically, when one of them can get left-over points from his/her parents, they all go to Florida, usually for a couple days. One of the boys got 116 pts as a graduation gift from college(he had been on the lifetime student plan until his parents promised points!) so the group is all going down together! My other daughter is dating a guy whose parents are DVC members!! They found that it's easier than trying to convert someone to our way of thinking:teeth: DD#1 divorced a guy who was very anti-Disney because he always critisized and made fun of Disney fanatics!:earseek:

tooooooo funny crudeadeville!!!!
