MVMCP - My Very Merry Chistmas Pre-Trip Report

serene56, your pictures are great! What a fantastic costume! We met Cruella a few trips ago and is was one of our all time favorite meets, she is a hoot!

What? Ok, so I have been a bit lazy lately. Actually haven't had much time to get over here. Since my last post my boss returned from Disney, my cousin, Serene56, went down and came back, and DevonsDisneyMom has probably been to Disney 4 times since my last post.

Man, time is flying. ON month on the countdown calendar is done, and we are starting on another. I still haven't worked out the daily plans yet. I think I have the first three down pat, so I should probably post them son. On the shirt front, I did manage to get the kids mickey heads sewn in. Now I gotta do the adults, and finish the tie-dye so everyone can see what a great job I did, or possibly what an epic failure I was.

I did order and get he carriage peral cages from Ebay. Got 3 even though the wife said to only get two, I think she should get one too.

I'm just finishing up my lunch break, hopefully I can catch up on reading soon.

You've gotten a few things done - you're just not posting about it. I still haven't done the tie-dye either. Your wife definately needs a pearl carriage too, good call.

Glad nobody is hounding me to catch up on my report! I love your line about DevonsDisneyMom going 4 times... Of course, my husband thinks I'm a crazy person everytime he sees me on this site. He couldn't understand how funny that is to me!

For what its worth, I think all of us Christmas-diser's are in a holding pattern. I mean, we have 2 more months, yet nothing exciting left to do. Except daydream while we should be working...

i think we are all feeling the 'pinch'. i am spending a little time today catching up on everyone's PTR. i have been so bad and not reading them lately- just so busy in october.

I know. I just saw my ticker. Time is just flying by. Gotta head over to your ptr and check out your calender. I have a picture of mine hanging in my cube that I am checking off the days on. I can't believe it's almost November.

OK, so this isn't related to the trip, but Halloween is coming up. I usually do some Disney themed pumpkins. This year I bought some foam ones from the craft store so I have a set to use each year, then I only need to carve a couple real ones each year. Here are some previous years pumpkins.

Can't forget about the costumes. This year doesn't have a Disney Theme Oldest wants to be a painter, so we got her a beret and a lab coat that will be converted into a paint covered smock. Just need to create the little paint pallette thing. The real bummer is the youngest wanted to be a witch.

Guess I have to just look at these older pics.

OK, it wasn't Disney related, but we all got in on the theme.

Only 3, well that means more left over candy for you then. I suggest you buy at least four big bags this year. Just to be safe, you never know, this year 100 kids could show up. Better to be prepared.

I love the costumes and the pumpkins. Have you carved the foam ones yet? Are they easy? I am kind of tired of carving each year too. I like the pumpkin seeds, but I get tired fast with doing those pattern type pumpkins. Gives me carpol tunnel!

Like the t-shirts, the pumpkins are sitting there waiting for me to do something. Since Halloween is coming up fast though, I feel some motivation coming on.

I get upset everytime another group comes to the house. I bought this candy (sorry, 'sweets') for me. Then you get the grabby kids who take more than they should. Just makes me want to slap them.

I love the pumpkins! We didn't do Disney pumpkins this year. Brenda couldn't bring herself to cut the pumpkin because she didn't want to hurt it so she drew the face all over with a sharpie. Gavin just drew some shapes and we cut them out. My is just normal pumpkin face. Jon's takes the cake though. He made it look like it was throwing up from too much candy.

You should do what I do. Put a sign on the door that says out of candy, then sit with the bowl on the couch and eat it all yourself.
