Multi resort point question

Okay - if I were to own 60 pts at HH and 150 at SSR, could I make a studio reservation at 11 months out for HH, then use 50 points from SSR at 7 months to upgrade to a 1 bedroom?

How do multiple resort owners manage points? Can you combine points provided you're under the 7 month mark?

yes at 7 mths you could use your other points to increase your room size.

I own both VWL and VB points.
I purchased approximately the number I was was going to use at each resort, so that makes life easier.
Most of the time I manage my VB points, and the VB part of my vacation completely separate from my VWL points and VWL part of the trip.
On occasion I have intermingled them, but the plan always starts out as keeping them separate.

There are several strategies for maximum benefit with smaller packages AND/OR multiple home resorts, esp multiple smaller packages. Booking a smaller unit and trying for a larger one at 7 months is one. Banking and borrowing is another. A third is to book as many days as you can at your home resort and preferred unit at the 11 month window then supplement at the 7 month window. For WDW resorts with multiple home resorts, one might book some days at one resort and the rest at another than try to change over at 7 months subject to availability. For HH and VB, taking your chances, booking WDW for the other days or even a cash backup ressie are all workable for many. One could even rent points or workout a private "trade" with another member to get access to more points at the 11 month window for the desired resort.

Yep plans start that way but may likely stray from the original intention hubby seriously believes that 150 points will be fine for us, who am I to argue :
