Muddy Buddy Training!

:lmao:
Chris is going to be a chizzled masterpiece! :lmao:

Umm....jizzled?? Ewww...

Uuuum, yeah, there's no way I'm hugging Chris after the race if he is all jizzled...

You can definitely do this Chris. Nice job on your workout. I'm very impressed. BTW, I listened to the call-in show during my run. You cracked me up calling in from the emergency room. "I'm having a hard time hearing because of Mom's moaning..." :lmao:

28 minutes isn't that slow at all Don. Don't be so hard on yourself. That's quicker than 10 min miles. WTG! Good luck with the bike ride.

I did 14 tough miles today. The first 7 felt good, but the last 7 miles coming back were really tough. I don't think I ate enough last night, and I was running out of gas.

Enjoy the day everyone.

Well...That was a slip of the finger, wasn't it. Sorry guys. No harm, no foul, right?

Ask Chris, he's the one that got jizzified.

Alright everyone! First of all, thanks Dave for the support! I am excited about this and I think that this is definately something I can do! I am a web developer which means I sit at a computer most of the day, so this race is a really big deal for me. I stand proud for all the desk jockeys out there! :thumbsup2

Now to Aaron, and his "interesting" comments. It was a slip of the finger? Hmmmmm...? I see. I will appologize ahead of time for dunking you in the mud pit. :)

As for sculpting Paul..... I believe that you are the sculpting genious, not me. You bicep is about as big as my waist. I cower in your presence. :worship:

Thanks Dave, did I mention it was in the wind ;) I have a lot of wind resistance..lol

I got my 6 mile bike ride in on top of the run. Feeling tired, but good.

I think Aaron and I are also desk jockeys. I try to represent for all the other Geeks, but some are beyond help.

I'm not sure I'd call what Paul does sculpting. Sculpting involves machines, music or strange classes. Us men do squats, curls and bench press!! GO BEAST!

Since I'm thinking about it. I put up 200 yesterday, just once but I could have done it 3-4 times at least. GO BEAST!

Good job Puck! I was benching this morning as well. Triceps after that. :thumbsup2

Just to give the rest of the guys a comparison. Tell them what you are putting up for max. I'm guessing 300 range.

I only call it scultping because that was what I know. This morning I did the following with weights:
push-ups, military press, triceps, bicep curls, lunges
more push ups, swimmer's press, more triceps, more biceps, lunge/squat combo
more push ups, dips, more biceps, squats
upright rows, arm curls, more push ups, more squats

I think that is far beyond just "sculpting". :thumbsup2

After that a good stretch and then 1 mile bike, 1 mile run, and .5 mile walk to cool down.

I will be ready! :)

Sounds like a good day! As long as it involved free weights and not machines I'll call it manly! Those natalus machines are for the ladies circuit class IMHO :rotfl2:

Keep it up Chris!!

335. I hardly ever max out though. to high a risk of injury. It's not worth it.

Oh yeah. Only free weights for me! You keep it up too!

This is gonna be so awesome. (dunking Aaron and Paul in the mud) :lmao:

Anyone else sign up their kids or family for a mud romp? All three of my kids are going thru the mud after the race! They are pretty excited. I have to go with my 4 yo so I'll get double muddy!!

I'll be sure to take lots of pics! Sounds like fun!

If my girls were coming down with me, they'd definitely be doing this. However, we're having an adult weekend at WDW. Sounds like fun. I can't wait to watch your kids and you doing this.

Got in a quick run 1.5 miles today. Just sort of a cool down run for me, wanted to do something. That will become my "down" day ritual. I'm still slow, about 13 mins for 1.5 miles but getting faster.

Way to go Don. It seems like you are improving on your time and distance. Have you noticed any weight loss, weight gain, or muscle build since you started training?
