SAFD: I will be back for Marathon Weekend 2027. Still uncertain about my level of participation. I believe I will be trying to get the 10k for sure, as it is my favorite course. I am also quite intrigued by the near-guaranteed clusterbleep this new 5k format is setting up to be. The Half is the distance I’d most like to prepare for; but that’s probably below a 50/50 proposition as, absent some sort of verified enhancement to the race, the course just does nothing for me. The chaos of registration is always enhanced by winging it and making split second decisions.

SAFD: Assuming the registration gods are favorable to me, I’ll be back for the return of Rogue Two as well as the Goof Troop Roving Road Party (TM).

First of all, hell yes to this.

SAFD: Celebrating my 10-year marathon/runDisney anniversary with Dopey #2. This will be Marathon Weekend #5 for me and, if all goes to plan, marathon #22.

More than anything, I’m looking forward to the camaraderie, meet ups, and doing significant damage at DATW.

SAFD: Plan right now is for Dopey #3, with Goofy as the backup plan. As some of you know last year was a bit chaotic because I was trying to manage work obligations while doing this so I decided that if I'm going to keep it up I'm going to fly in Sunday night so I'm better settled at my workstation (All Star Sports Hotel Desk) for the whole time.

SAFD: So MW is currently the only rD race weekend in my rotation and I have found the 10K and the Full make for an enjoyable weekend. I’ve already secured a 10K spot through a charity so that’s a done deal. But now that the themes have been revealed and Donald is going to be on the Goofy medal I am having a lot of FOMO. So it all really comes down to what is available when I get through on registration day. If Goofy is still available I will sign up (even though I am not a fan of the half course) otherwise I will just grab the Full. But if I’m honest with myself, I think I would like Goofy. I still need some validation after my first and only Goofy in 2024 that was 6 miles short.

SAFD: Half marathon for me! I understand the drawbacks of the course, but it's just the perfect distance for me. Excited for Marathon Weekend #2 and actually knowing what I'm doing this time!

SAFD: I'm hoping to sign up for the Half Marathon only! Fingers crossed. I did just the half the last two years and had a great time -- would love to repeat next year!

I never got around to posting a 2026 Half review, but I had all good things to say and enjoyed my entire experience. I even ended up liking that heart-shaped medal, and loved the shirt. These latest Brooks race shirts fit me perfectly. (I don't love the plastic print job, of course ... I assume they do it because it's cheap? Because I have nice Brooks shirts from local races that are not plastic-y so it doesn't seem necessary.)

Anyway... back on topic. I am tempted by the 10K but we'll see! I'm always tempted by the marathon but if I'm going to do a full marathon, I would rather do it on the anniversary year in 2028.
